Manolo Blahnik’s Earth-Friendly New Collection
Good morning tartelettes!
Have you heard, Manolo Blahnik’s gone green?! The infamous powerhouse has a new sustainable shoe collection, and it’s everything an eco-conscious fashionista could ask for and more! I love reading about these type of collaborations, especially when related to my most favorite accessory: shoes! Designer Marcia Patmos was asked to create an eco-friendly line for the label, and after spending a considerable amount of time researching sustainable material, came up with two incredible styles made out of tilapia skin (interestingly enough a byproduct from the food industry), cork and raffia. These beautiful shoes — an adorable open-toe flat and a sexy, strappy sandal — come in gorgeous color combinations: nude, yellow, black and electric blue.
These are the first earth-friendly designs to be released by Manolo Blahnik and I couldn’t be more thrilled to see the fashion heavyweight take up the green cause! Like we always say, luxury and sustainability are not mutually exclusive. What do you gals think of the latest eco-friendly creations?

Get the Look: Once Upon a Time
Like a lot of you, we’ve been swept away by ABC’s new fairytale drama Once Upon a Time. The show’s premise is that all of our favorite childhood storybook characters have been cursed, forced to live in modern times, had their memories wiped and are all inhabiting a small town in Maine. Not only is this a refreshing take on the Brothers Grimm, but the dual timeline gives the actors the opportunity to play two characters, showcasing various personalities, styles and beauty looks.
Take one of our favorite cast members, Ginnifer Goodwin. The actress, whose gamine face has pretty much ensured her the ingénue role for the rest of the decade, manages to pull off two flawless and fashionable looks simultaneously. As pre-cursed Snow White and modern schoolteacher Mary Margaret Blanchard, she frequently swaps out one color palette for another in a single episode, sporting icy cool shades in one scene and a sweet, dewy look in the next.
Bravo Ginny! You nail them both.
Fancy yourself a modern Snow White, or do you think you rock the soft, sweet style of a small town beauty? To achieve either character’s pristine porcelain look follow the how-to below.

Style Envy: Emily Blunt’s Modern Chic
We love our Brits: the attitude, the accents, the style! Take Emily Blunt for instance, she not only has amazing cheekbones but a fantastic fashion sense as well. Emily always looks put together and her classic, yet modern wardrobe makes her this week’s style star. Perhaps she picked up a few style tips while on the set of The Devil Wears Prada — but I have a hunch she was just born chic!
Absolutely adorable, fashionably fearless, we tip our trendy caps to you Emily.
Cheerio tartelettes!

Jen’s Pick: Peeled Snacks
Some of my favorite snacks of all time, I cannot keep Peeled Snacks keep to myself; they’re like gummy treats for adults made with organic and all-natural ingredients – no sugar or oil added. I can’t go a day without some of their dried mango.
Peeled supports local farmers and growers when organic crops are not readily available, and they strive to use the most environmentally sustainable business practices. For their product display cases, they use recycled paper making them not only delicious, but ecologically friendly.
Take a bite out of that!

Jen’s Pick: The Kind Life
Sure, Alicia Silverstone broke into the Hollywood A-list playing a ditzy, spoiled teen in 1995’s box office hit Clueless, but her most important role has been as an advocate for environment protection and healthy living.
And while the 2009 release of her book The Kind Diet ultimately cemented Alicia’s leadership in both the healthy living and animal cruelty movements, nothing speaks to her commitment to these causes more than her amazing blog called The Kind Life. The blog offers tips and advice on ways to live greener, healthier and cruelty-free lives.
I personally love The Kind Life. It has an amazing following with a ton of interaction. Alicia does a lot of research on the topics she discusses and posts photos featuring people’s success stories in changing their lives and living green. After looking over the blog, I went straight to Amazon and purchased her book. As you know, green living is very important to me and I jump at any opportunity to incorporate new tips or advice into my daily life.
This is my shout out to Alicia Silverstone, a true Green Queen!
How are you fighting to care for our Earth and help diminish your carbon footprint?

Style Envy: Liv Tyler’s Classic Look
For a girl who says style isn’t one of her priorities, she definitely sports some stunning outfits. Then again, working with Rachel Zoe to update your wardrobe can’t hurt.
The daughter of rocker Steven Tyler and model Bebe Buell, Liv Tyler has spent most of her life in the spotlight, and over the years has transformed her usually low-key style to a more sleekly classic wardrobe — making her a full-force fashionista. And I might add, she’s looking more lean and fit than ever. Perhaps her more conservative style will eventually rub off on her parents.

Five stars for Liv Tyler. Rock on!
Love Liv’s perma-rosy cheeks? You can recreate the look with our Amazonia clay 12-hour blush in dollface, then finish off with a dab of our LipSurgence™ lip luster lip tint in adored.

Packed with vitamins A, C, and zinc, pumpkin is the perfect gift from nature to achieve a radiant complexion for fall. And the best part, I’ve got on the info you need to whip up an incredible mask DIY-style in your kitchen. Audrina, if you’re reading, this treat is for you!
