Tell us about your upcoming wedding! How will you style your evening to remember?
While we love the sophisticated details of a Saturday evening affair, but didn’t want the stuffiness a black tie dress code sometimes requires.  Think white dress with Jimmy Choo’s swapped out with Toms for the party and classic black tux paired with custom Nike’s. 

What is your #1 makeup must-have for the big day?
lights, camera, splashes waterproof mascara – I’m a total sap at other people’s weddings, so I can only imagine how many (happy) tears I’ll be shedding on my special day. I know I can count on this mascara to keep my lashes picture perfect – and not leave a stream of black down my face.

 What is one special wedding detail you are most excited about? 
There are so many fun details I need to keep secret so that they aren’t spoiled for my guests! But, if you ask me what I’m most excited about, it’s for that moment when Andrew and I slip on our wedding bands and officially become husband and wife. People have been getting married for centuries, the symbolism of the wedding bands coupled with the traditional ceremony, and being able to share that with our family and friends is just so special to me.

Where are you honeymooning and what is one makeup essential you’ll have in your travel bag?
We’re heading to the St. Regis Bora Bora where I intend to probably be completely fuss-free! No doubt, I’ll still pack along my lights, camera, splashes waterproof mascara.  I’m pretty much a “don’t leave home without mascara” kind of girl…and that mantra will hold true even though I’m swapping the streets of NYC for the beaches of Tahiti!

Tell us about your upcoming wedding! How will you style your evening to remember?

Jeff and I are looking forward to bringing a night of NYC fun and sophistication to all our guests in our hometown of Michigan.  We both grew up in the Midwest and we want an ambiance that is classic and elegant with a fun party atmosphere that is reminiscent of our life in NYC.

 What is your #1 makeup must-have for the big day?
Maracuja oil is my go-to night time regimen to keeping my complexion clear and glowing

What is one special wedding detail you are most excited about?
I love that Jeff and I chose a sweetheart table for two. I can’t wait to celebrate our new life together over a delicious meal, some bubbly and one very sweet cake!

 Where are you honeymooning and what is one makeup essential you’ll have in your travel bag?
Jeff & I are going to Bora Bora too and we couldn’t be more excited. I’ll be sure to apply one more coat of Brazilliance before heading to our destination so I can feel beach ready without ever stepping into a tanning booth! I cannot wait for this trip!

brows:

• The brows were a major focal point tonight. “Rosie already has gorgeous, naturally full brows so I just enhanced them.” Monika used tarte’s Amazonian clay brow pencil in taupe to give her brows a sharper edge.

face:

• Monika started by applying Amazonian clay full coverage 12-hour foundation all over to even her complexion.
• Then she brushed tarte’s matte waterproof mineral powder bronzer in park ave princess in the hollows of her cheeks, over her temples and across her forehead to create extra dimension.
• Next, she mixed maracuja blush & glow brightening luminizer & cheek tint in sunlight with tarte’s cheek stain in awakening and blended it over the apples of her cheeks to bring extra light to her face.
• She then used tarte’s buffy bamboo face powder brush to blend everything together and make sure the contouring was seamless.

eyes:

• Monika used different shades of bronze from tarte’s call of the wild palette Amazonian clay 8-shadow collector’s palette to create a smudgy, washed-out eye that went from light to dark. She started by sweeping the shade wild all over her lids and into her inner corners, then brushed meow close to her lashlines and pulled it out toward the edges. She took the shadow instinct and blended it into the center of her lids, and brought that same shade onto her lower lashlines to bring everything together.
• She finished by painting her lashes with three coats of lights, camera, flashes statement mascara.

lip:

• Monika created a custom burgundy shade for Rosie by layering two colors. First, she filled in Rosie’s lips with LipSurgence lip tint in moody (a deep berry) and then went over it with glamazon pure performance 12-hour lipstick in wild, (a vivid red) to create a long-lasting, edgy hue.

For the Metropolitan Museum of Art annual gala — often referred to as the Oscars of Fashion — celebrities go all out, working with stylists to craft intricate looks fit for the fête’s theme.  This year’s theme?
