The key to framing your eyes and exaggerating lashes is simple: apply the right mascara, in the right amount. There is nothing worse than clumpy, dried out lashes that look like little spider legs! The fundamental part of choosing the best mascara is to know your lashes. Are they naturally long and could use a little volume? Or do your lashes on the dry side? Whichever it may be, you are sure to find a tarte™ mascara that will suit your lash needs! More >

how to choose the right blush
Nothing brightens up your face like a swipe of blush! But when it comes to finding the perfect shade, it’s important to consider your skin tone. Sure you love the way a swath of neon pink looks on an olive-toned runway model, but can that really work for you? While super saturated pigments tend to work best for darker and fairer skin tones, light, pinky hues are perfect for those with fair skin; they may get lost on darker complexions.
But fear not tartlettes, we created the ultimate blush guide. We‘ve broken it down by skin tone (fair, medium and deep) to help you find the perfect hue to match your complexion! And don’t be afraid to mix and match – that’s what makeup is for, right?! More >

get carried away with your #bff
Hi tartelettes,
I’m tarte’s digital gal Jenna. You may recognize my handy work (pun intended) on our instagram account @tartecosmetics. J
Who is better than your #BFF? Nobody!
One thing I love most about my job is that I get to share the story of tarte beauty and the work I do with Maureen with tartelettes everywhere. Included in that following of tartelettes is my very own best friend, Alissa. In fact, she may just be one of the biggest tarte fans out there and she is also my #1 support— this is one of the greatest things about my best friend. Alissa is also an avid collector of all things tarte. (It helps that her #BFF is always willing to share). Today is her birthday; and so, I wanted to celebrate her in a BIG way. Her favorite product of all time is our “carried away” collector’s set which many of you know is SOLD OUT. While preparing for the Golden Globes coverage this morning, I stumbled upon one last remaining carried away set in the PR closet. To celebrate my #BFF, I will be hosting a contest to WIN the very last “carried away” set (that you cannot get anywhere else) for your best friend and something equally as sweet for you! All you have to do is tag her in the comment section under one of the #BFF pictures above. We’ll ship it to her, love you. But wait, there is something for you too if you and your #BFF win, we’ll send you 4 sets from our Baby, it’s bold outside limited-edition collection listed below:
