Hey tartelettes! I’m sure some of you are going to sunny Palm Springs, California this weekend for Coachella. We’ve heard from so many tartelettes on the east that are excited to escape the dreary weather we’re experiencing and head down to the sun! What’s not to love about a fresh bouquet of roses? Not only do roses smell and look wonderful, but their petals actually have substantial amounts of vitamin C, and skin-firming rose oil — it’s astringent properties aid in the tightening of skin and muscles. Plus, with V-Day right around the corner, you’ll have petals to spare. Once your bouquet starts to wilt, take those blooms and use them for your skin’s benefit — a rose petal facial will leave skin feeling firm, replenished and radiant. The best part? It’s an easy DIY! Once again we enlisted Erica, our DIY beauty extraordinaire, to share her favorite rose petal facial recipe! More >

Who is better than your #BFF? Nobody!
One thing I love most about my job is that I get to share the story of tarte beauty and the work I do with Maureen with tartelettes everywhere. Included in that following of tartelettes is my very own best friend, Alissa. In fact, she may just be one of the biggest tarte fans out there and she is also my #1 support— this is one of the greatest things about my best friend. Alissa is also an avid collector of all things tarte. (It helps that her #BFF is always willing to share). Today is her birthday; and so, I wanted to celebrate her in a BIG way. Her favorite product of all time is our “carried away” collector’s set which many of you know is SOLD OUT. While preparing for the Golden Globes coverage this morning, I stumbled upon one last remaining carried away set in the PR closet. To celebrate my #BFF, I will be hosting a contest to WIN the very last “carried away” set (that you cannot get anywhere else) for your best friend and something equally as sweet for you! All you have to do is tag her in the comment section under one of the #BFF pictures above. We’ll ship it to her, love you. But wait, there is something for you too if you and your #BFF win, we’ll send you 4 sets from our Baby, it’s bold outside limited-edition collection listed below:
Product developer extraordinaire, CEO, beauty guru, working mom, beach lover…Maureen wears a lot of hats, and even those of us who work with her day in and day out wonder just what makes her tick. While we may never get a straight answer to that question, she did slow down enough to spill her holiday must-haves! More >

If you read tarte talk on the regular, you already know that pumpkins are packed with all kind of good-for-you vitamins and minerals, but this squash’s ability to nourish skin goes beyond nutrition — it’s topical too! Much like your makeup bag or your purse, what you keep on your desk says a lot of about who you are. We decided to put some members of the tarte team under the microscope by unexpectedly snapping a photo of their workspace and then asking them to pick out their must-haves.
