Shipping


How much does shipping cost? How will my order be shipped?

Orders to the USA & PR:
Standard Shipping on orders up to $25 is $5.00.
Standard Shipping on orders $25 or more is FREE.
All prices listed are excluding tax.
Expedited shipping options are also available for an additional fee. These options are listed at check out.


Orders to Canada:
Standard Shipping on orders up to $39.99 CAD is $14.95 CAD.
Standard Shipping on orders up to $74.99 CAD is $7.95 CAD.
Standard Shipping on orders $75 CAD or more is FREE.
Expedited shipping options are also available for an additional fee. These options are listed at check out. Please note that orders shipped to Canada may be subject to additional fees for duties and customs upon receipt. These fees are the responsibility of the recipient.

Standard shipping is FedEx Ground and/or FedEx Smartpost (the package will ship via FedEx and be delivered by your local USPS). Your order will arrive approximately 7-10 business days from date of purchase. You may pay extra for expedited shipping. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii and Puerto Rico can only be sent via Fed Ex standard shipping. Tarte does not ship to freight forwarding companies or export agents.

How long will it take to ship?
Your order will arrive approximately 7-10 business days from date of purchase. All orders, placed after noon EST will be processed the following business day.


Does tarte ship to APO/military addresses? How long will it take to ship?
Yes, tarte does ship to APO boxes and military addresses. Due to military handling time, delivery to some destinations may take up to 30 or more days.


Does Tartecosmetics.com ship to P.O. Boxes?
Tarte.com does not ship to P.O. Boxes.


Does tarte ship internationally? Where can I buy tarte internationally?

Returns?

tarte cosmetics will gladly accept returns on tarte.com orders within 30 days unless the item is marked as final sale.

We only accept returns for items purchased through www.tarte.com. If you purchased a tarte item from a retail partner, please contact that retailer directly.

Placing an order


How do I order online?
1. Add product(s) to your order by selecting a product, shade and quantity, choose "add to shopping bag."
2. Your total order amount will appear in your shopping bag, where you can click on "continue shopping" or "checkout."
3. When you press check out simply log in to your account (if you have one) or fill out the required shipping and billing information and press submit order.
4. We'll process your order within 1-2 business days; you get an immediate e-mail that confirms your order.


Is shopping on tarte.com secure?
We understand how important security is to you. When you place an order on tartecosmetics.com, we encode your information using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology (you'll see the shopping cart switch from http to https). This is an advanced consumer online security technique. You can be assured that your order will be placed safely and securely. Please contact us with any questions.


What credit cards do you accept?
For US orders, tarte.com accepts American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. For International orders we only accept Visa and Mastercard. We also accept PayPal and PayPal International where applicable. Please note we do not accept gift cards, banking gift cards, international credit cards, checks or money orders.


The product I want is out of stock, what happens now?
If some of the items in your order are temporarily out of stock, we will ship the available items only and notify you of any products that cannot be fulfilled. Currently, we do not offer "back orders" for products that are not available at the time your order is placed.


I haven't received my order, my order is missing items, or my shipment is late?
Please send an email to info@tarte.com with your order number and preferably the order confirmation email and we will get back to you ASAP.


How much is the sales tax?
We are required by law to collect state sales tax on orders being shipped to the following states - AZ, CA, CO,CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI and all provinces in Canada. Sales tax will be assessed on the total purchase, including shipping/handling charges (as required). Sales tax charges are based upon the state where your order is being shipped. All applicable state and local sales taxes will be calculated during the checkout process.


I received an error message while trying to place an order, what do I do?
Our website works best with modern browsers, such as the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Internet Explorer. For security reasons we do not support older browsers such as Internet Explorer 7 or 8. If problems persist, please visit this page then contact info@tarte.com with the given reference code.


Ingredients/testing


Is tarte cruelty free?
Yes. tarte cosmetics is a cruelty-free cosmetics line. tarte makeup and skincare is never tested on animals.


What are tarte's guidelines for international products?
All ingredients and finished formulas tarte uses are tested and based on US FDA requirements before being imported to the US. We only work with highly reputable laboratories and factories that meet the strictest GMP standards, which is an international grading scale for cleanliness and the environment for workers that abide by a strict code of standards. We also test each product ourselves to match our quality standards. Additionally, we are an approved PETA participant; they have audited our non-animal testing procedures.


I have allergies to certain ingredients, can you give me a list of products that do not contain this allergen?
At the bottom of every tarte product page in the tarte shop there is an ingredient listing where you can find the ingredients to the products you're interested in. Tarte cannot guarantee that any ingredients or products were produced in an allergen free environment.


Samples


Does tarte offer free samples? How can I receive free samples?
tarte offers a free sample with purchase through our tarte tokens program. You may choose your free sample at check out. Please note that while we make our best effort to deliver you the sample you chose, samples can change at any time and are subject to availability.
