FANTASTIC FOUNDATION! This is the first foundation that blends completely into my skin and looks natural (I use Light). It has a nice moderate coverage and I don't need as much powder to set the look. In fact most days I don't need to powder my Tzone at all when I use a Beauty Blender to apply (I have combination skin). I have noticed a big difference in the final look depending on the method of application. When I use a Beauty Blender sponge this foundation melts into my skin and looks natural. When I use Tarte's brush meant for this foundation, my skin does look slightly powdery. I didn't find that this foundation lasted 12 hours, maybe 8hours tops. But perhaps that's because I can get oily in the Tzone.
I have extraordinarily sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts and this foundation does not bother me at all. Don't get me wrong, I still tend to break out, but this doesn't exacerbate the issue.

Finally found my HG foundation!! I have hormonal acne from PCOS and it's a constant battle to conceal and set all day long just to look even half way decent. With this foundation, I only have to sweep it on and set with my hd powder. All day full coverage and it's natural? I can hardly believe it! I have horrible allergies, and have had a terrible time finding cosmetics that do not make me break out in hives, but still perform/last all day without making me feel like I'm wearing oil on my skin. The Amazon Clay Foundation is not only perfect for a full coverage foundation, but no hives, and my skin feels soft even with the product on it. The coverage is perfect, it doesn't feel like I have make-up on, and it lasts all day. I love this. My only foundation now. Thank you, Tarte, for keeping the major bad chemicals out!! The closer to natural, the more I'll buy.

This is the BEST foundation I have ever used! While it is full cover, it is lightweight. For my sensitive, combination skin I find it quite gentle, hydrating and non-irritating. I don't make a habit of it, but in the past I have fallen asleep in this makeup and it did NOT break me out which was a huge relief. A great thing about this product is that it can be used with other brand mineral primers and finishing poweders and also works with Tarte's recreate primer and finishing powder. This foundation really does rock my world. I look forward to trying it with the Amazonian clay primer!

This foundation is great for my oil prone skin and seems to keep that mid-day shine away, which I love. It also goes on very smooth. It does not feel sticky and covers well. I think the shade that I got is a shade too light for me, but that is no fault of the product of course. haha Anyway, it is the most expensive foundation I have ever purchased, but I still would recommend it!
P.S. I also bought the Bamboo Airbrush and it does apply it really nicely, but I feel it also goes on okay with a makeup sponge or even fingers. :)

I was having some problems with my old foundation from Bare Minerals. It was no longer giving me the coverage I wanted and just basicaly fell off my face over the course of the day. This sometimes leaves some dry patches depending on whether I use a moisturizer or not. So the amazonian clay part kind of works and doesn't work at the same time. It does leave a slightly dewy finish but still kind of matte at the same time. It also blends super well and you don't need a lot. I like to use bronzer underneath this since it looks so gorgeous.

This is the first product that I have used from the TARTE collection, and I love it! I have used Smashbox, Clinique, and MAC but they all irritated my skin, clogged my pores, and made me brake out.I have to say that this foundation says it's full coverage, but I think it's more like a medium.I usually use a small amount of the product so that it gives some- what of a coverage.Then, I go with so more on to conceal my acne scars or any break-outs that I may have.I would really recommend this product to anyone.This foundation gives you a natural glow.I am officially a TARTE girl ,and I am never going back!!! :D

This is really great foundation. I have very oily skin and everything makes me break out. This foundation has a nice finish and does not upset my skin. On the contrary, it seems to sooth. I work on a tv show and I used this on an actor who had some dermatitis around his mouth. At the end of the day when he removed the makeup, the redness was gone. I'm not saying the foundation cured him but it definitely soothed and DEFINITELY did not exacerbate the condition. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this foundation. My only complaint is that it's never in stock!

I know alot of you have said that the brush was highly recommended, however, I enjoy it either way! Yes, the brush made it look better but it looks fabulous without it either. I am so glad I have found a natural, full coverage foundation that isn't cakey & it gives me the coverage I want, and is buildable, and it does last all day, which is amazing! I have only been using this for a couple of days but I already love it. I have used the same drug store foundation for 7 years and needed a change after my face went into a breakout-madness! lol. I bought the brush that goes with it and i'm so happy with it! I have oily skin, very oily, so this brush helps instead of using my fingers. The foundation looks full coverage on my face, love that, but still feels light. I feel like i'm not wearing anything on my face, not cacky at all! I think I will be buying this again!

Rarely can you find a foundation that looks as if you aren't wearing anything, but this foundation is FLAWLESS. I have never found a makeup before this that doesn't feel like you've caked your face in awful, greasy product. This foundation goes on smooth, feels great, and blends wonderfully, even if you just use your fingers! This is my new go to foundation - I won't use anything else!

This foundation is great! Good coverage and it truely lasts all day. I usually use a mineral powder foundation but it never lasted all day and would crease and get super greasy. This definately does not do any of that. It is also the only foundation I have used with spf that doesn't make me break out.

This is definitely a product you need with a moisturizer or a primer, as it can stand out if you put it on your skin alone. It has alright coverage, I was hoping to see a little bit more. I love the ingredients in this foundation, though! I think that's what honestly makes this product stand out more compared to other foundations.

This is the only foundation I will every buy again. I have problem skin and tend to get oily looking very quickly and have redness to my skin. When I use this product, my skin tone is completely evened out. I use it with the amazonian clay pressed powder and I never get shiny! I highly recommend it. Since I started using it, I have noticed that I get less breakouts, too.

I have combination skin- but more oily then anything and this controls the oil without looking dry and like I've put on a ton of powder and I even put the 12-hour clay powder over it and it just looks flawless. I absolutely love this foundation. I have acne prone skin and suffer from acne scars and this is the only foundation that not only fully covers my acne/scars, but it also has SPF, looks natural, and lasts all day long! I occasionally get oily throughout the t-zone and I have noticed with this foundation that I hardly have to reapply a powder to mattify. On the rare occasion that I do have to mattify, I love to carry the Tarte Smooth Operator with me to sweep across the t-zone.

Ever since I started using this foundation, people have actually started to comment on how beautiful my skin looks, and that alone gives reason to try the Amazonian Clay 12-hr Foundation!

I really like this foundation. I have oily acne prone skin that is sensitive to fragrances and other additives. I bought this in Light, but am sure that Light medium is going to be better for the summer. Even though it says yellow undertone it still matches my skin pretty well. The formula is very luxe in feel. I applied with a buffing brush and got a nice blended application. I moisturize at night, never during the day and this foundation lasted on my all day at work and then some. I set it w/ the amazonian translucent powder. The Tarte tinted moisturizer would make my skin itch so I stopped using Tarte foundation until this came out and there is no itchyness and it feels like my skin; not heavy, not greasy (sets in less than 2 min), just soft and w/ plenty of coverage to conceal my acne scars.

I never use foundation because I dont like the look of heavy makeup on my skin or the oily patches. I have combination skin and my T-zone tends to get really oily when I wear pressed powder. So, as I was scouting for something I could wear I heard of Amazonian Clay foundation from Tarte. I went to Sephora and tried it on and I absolutely LOVED it! Since my skin is a fair/medium with yellow undertones, it sometimes gets hard for me to find a good powder that blends well,but THIS foundation took care of everything! It evens out my skin, blends in extremely well, and with my foundation brush it gives me an airbrushed look that you cant tell I'm even using makeup! I set it in with the smooth operator Amazonian Clay finishing powder and Tarte's AC blush in blissful and it all looks great. My skin looks flawless and the makeup stays on all day with not even once having to blot the oil. I DEF recommend this to everyone!

I've been using Tarte's powder foundation for 5 years now but this time decided to try this foundation because of all the good reviews. I personally did not like this foundation. Though it covered well and went on smoothly, I found it a bit heavy (you can clearly see you are wearing makeup). I like a more natural, clean look that I get from the powder. If you like the heavier makeup look then you will probably like this.

I love this foundation! It's very lightweight and long-lasting. It gives a nice finish- not too matte or too shiny. I have combo skin (both a little dry and a little oily in my t-zone) and it works perfectly with no irritation. My slight redness and sensitivity were not negatively affected by this foundation. I also love the all natural seal Tarte puts on it's products. Overall, another great Tarte product. :)

This stuff is amazing. Stays on at least 14 hours. I tend to have a pretty greasy face and by the middle of the day I look in the mirror and I look gross. I used to use powders and they slide around and get in creases and just look fake. This is so great! You can build it up til you get the right coverage and you still don't even know you have makeup on. I'm not at all greasy during the day and I've gotten compliments on how natural it looks. I went to the store to check out some foundations. I am SO happy the lady suggested this. I am now a convert and kind of have a tarte addiction. I have yet to find anything of theirs that I don't like. It's expensive but I value my appearance and this is the best look I felt I've ever had.

This is my very first Tarte purchase ever.. and the only thing I'm disappointed about is the fact I'm almost 32 and am only just now discovering this product! I had acne as a teanager and young adult, but have been clear for the past 6 years or so, since I've had my children.. the past couple months however I've been breaking out all over my chin horribly, and not really sure why.. I decided after much deliberation, and reading reviews, to try this foundation, and I can't even believe how incredible it really is! My skin has cleared up so much.. and after only ONE use! I didn't even wash my face the first night I used it because we were out late, and woke up to clearer skin! My face looks flawless and airbrushed when I put this make up on. It covers all blemishes and red spots perfectly, I don't even use my MK concealer anymore, which I USED to think was amazing.. not anymore! I have also purchased the eye shadow, and fnishing powder, which I also love.. I think I will save the finishing powder for summer time, it dries out my skin a little too much when used with the foundation, because the foundation dries to a perfectly powdery and smooth finish.
I'm not super fair, but I am almost always second to the lightest in foundation, and I ordered a light-med, because it's almost summer time, and the light-med looks great.. I think it will look even better after a couple days in the sun, but it's not too dark either. If you've been thinkking about trying this brand, do yourself a favor and don't wait any longer. I am now trying to decide which blush to try.. so many options!! Thank you Tarte for your amazing product!

After years of searching I have FINALLY found the perfect foundation!

I'm 36 with combo skin.. pretty oily in the T-Zone. I still have to blot my face a few times during the day, but the coverage doesn't budge or cake up.

I was so impressed with this foundation, I decided to try the Tarte Primer, Smooth Operator Concealer and the Amazonian Mineral Pressed Powder.

Great foundation! I have light to medium skin that is combination, but sometimes a little more on the oily side. This foundation stays on most of the day, helps keep me looking less shiny, and it has a good amount of coverage without feeling heavy which I like. I was a little worried when I seen the consistency when I first used it but it went on easily and blends well. It has made my face look a little dry which I thought was weird, but as long as I use the right primer I dont't really have a problem with that.

I love the full coverage this foundation gives me. I was having trouble using the brush to apply the foundation. It would come out cakey in some spots, etc. I switched to using a regular sponge, and VOILA! Perfection!!! I like that this make up stays all day and I don't need to touch up or use blotting papers. Also, it's a fantastic value, because you need very little to achieve beauty perfection! (I only use a pea sized amount, and it would wonderfully) Do not hesitate, this is fabulous.

As someone with some skin issues like acne scars, oily t-zone, and light to moderate acne, I have been searching for a good foundation for years. I've tried them all. I am so happy I found this one. The coverage is buildable and very smooth and even. I have oily skin but it still lasts an entire work day with only minimal oil blotting needed, I don't have to touch up or apply powder. I find that the coverage appears more natural if I apply a concealer first (I use either one of Tartes), let that set in, then apply the foundation lightly using Tarte's really amazing foundation brush. I set it all with the amazonian clay powder and the finish is beautiful, longlasting, and natural. I highly recommend this foundation for its beautiful coverage and longevity!

I was a bit skeptical ordering this. I use liquid foundation because of dry skin, but I have never found one just right. I have always had trouble with it settling into fine lines and either being too drying or too dewy. I read all the great reviews but kind of expected this to be a let down. Man was I wrong! This stuff really is the holy grail of foundation. Light, stays put, covers like a dream. The directions say to use a quarter size but I used less than a dime size and everything was covered- including acne and scars. I did use the foundation brush to apply this and I have to say I think it was worth the investment though I cringed at the price. It made application easy, flawless, and crazy quick. This is my new foundation- won't use anything else!

This foundation does last all day and even looks great after sweating at the gym! I was easily matched to TAN 10 (tan skin w/yellow undertones), which is amazing because normally most foundations are too orange or pink.

I do find though my skin is sensitive in the winter and needs more moisture and this is great at sucking up the oils in your face. I also use Tarte's Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder to set it and I definitely need to use a bit more moisturizer to balance my skin properly.

I've been looking for an all-natural foundation that gives full coverage, and I'm so happy that I finally bought this! I have a problem with redness, and I've got very fair skin with yellow undertones. I have always had problems with matching my makeup to my skin, but this seems to be working splendidly so far. I purchased this foundation in Fair, and it's almost too light for me, but the Light is too yellow-y and dark. However, once I put my blush on, my face looks almost flawless and totally natural. It looks like I'm blessed with nice skin, but that's totally not the case! Also, make sure that you get the bamboo foundation brush for this, because that makes all the difference in the application of this very thick foundation.

I never thought i would like liquid makeup, im more of a power makeup kindof girl. but i tried this makeup at ulta and i fell in love! it gives amazing coverage with a natural look and it really does stay on for the full 12 hours. ive been using it for a week and i saw improvement in my actual skin. it helped my skin clear up because unlike the makeup i was using ( studio fix by macz ) it wasnt clogging my poors. because of this makeup i feel confident and beautiful. i would definitively recommend this product. even though its pricey you use a pea size everyday. makeup is the only thing im willing to pay a high price for because i wear it everyday and i can honestly say i love this makeup and im so happy i bought it.

Wow this is the BEST foundation I've ever worn. It really feels as if nothing if on my face and that's one thing about liquid foundations that I can't stand anymore. I used to wear liq. foundation religiously but now I love to be more natural. When I use this it's not like any other brand I've used and I like that it's made with ingredients that are good for the skin. It also blends really well and I've never had one that matched my skin tone so perfect until now. I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out, but I also need to get the brush because I feel like to make it go on even better I need that brush cause I really don't like my foundation brush.

It's embarrassing how much I love this foundation. I am of east Indian heritage and have ALWAYS had problems shopping for a foundation that doesn't make my skin look ashy.. my skin tone is a medium tan but with medium yellow undertones.. I'm not really sure how to describe it but foundations that are normally at my skin tone's level of 'darkness' have either neutral/cool undertones or are wayyy too orange. Tarte has come closer to giving me a natural hue than anything else.. even better than Lancome which I used before. Whats more is that my skin actually FEELS better and has stopped breaking out. I LOVE this foundation!! I have mostly normal skin, but it gets slightly dry in winter and slightly oily in summer. Plus I live in central Florida, so I need something that can stand up to heat and sweat. So far, this foundation has done everything I was hoping, and more.
I do exfoliate regularly and moisturize well before I apply, which I think helps. It is a very different consistency, kind of a thick whipped mousse, and I would call it medium to full coverage (I need a second layer on my cheeks to cover all of the redness). But the most amazing part is how natural it looks. I've thought a lot of foundations in the past looked like my "real skin," but this stuff really looks like I'm not wearing makeup. No matter how much I apply, it still looks flawless and not the least bit cakey. I like to buff it in with a dense stippling brush.
It seemed like a lot of money at first, but once you see how little you need to for each application and how much product is in the giant tube you realize it's totally worth every penny. Its also usually hard for me to find a foundation that's fair enough for my skin, as even my Studio Fix NC15 is too yellow and muddy. But Fair in this foundation melts right into my skin without any line around my jaw. Perfection - I'll repurchase again and again!!!!

This foundation is FANTASTIC! It provides full coverage without feeling like a mask! The instructions suggest using a quarter sized amount, but that's more than I need. I'm able to get full coverage with a little more than a pea-sized amount. Do not hesitate to try this out!!! This covers the sun damage, freckles, melasma perfectly without emphasizing my wrinkles.

For years I used mineral foundation which I liked but was messy and obvious if my skin was dry. I got this foundation in a kit and I've been hooked ever since. The Light blends well into my fair cool skin, but I think I will try Ivory next to see if it's a better match. The texture is like a mousse and easy to spread, and it provides even coverage and helps diminish the looks of pores. I love the foundation brush because it really helps buff the foundation into the skin for a truly even and airbrushed look. The tube lasts me 5-7 months because you don't need a whole lot for great coverage, so that's another plus. This is by far the best foundation I've ever tried!

I bought this online without any preview of what color would work for me. So, based on the limited descriptors, I got the light-medium because of my pink undertones and the fact that my skin is not ivory (the only other option for pink undertones). I was afraid that it would be too dark for me, but it really works well and rather perfectly for me. I like that this product is light and feels a like mousse. It isn't heavy at all like some foundations can be. It makes my face look and feel like blank canvas, hiding blemishes (I generally only apply this in a light to medium fashion). Most of the time, I put a primer or moisturizer on underneath, and it still works amazingly, no pilling or caking. And sometimes, especially when I feel the need to get decked out, I'll put powder (color light) on top. It still doesn't feel like too much. Love this makeup!

I love this foundation. I have never been able to use a liquid foundation because it has never looked right. Now I am getting age lines around my eyes that collects the powder foundations that I used to love. This foundation is perfect. I really like that this foundation is fragrance free and it goes on very smoothly on the skin. It works well when applying with fingers or a foundation brush. I noticed a big difference of my skin after I started using it. I feel my pores are looking smaller and even after I washed my face my skin still looks luminous. I have been using mineral makeup for most of my adult life, and hadn't really planned on changing. I got this product in a kit, and when I tried it I was blown away by the look. The medium shade is not a rich shade, but more soft. I am 52, and I can tell you it doesn't settle into fine lines and wrinkles. Don't be afraid to try this if you have mature skin. It is wonderful. I bought this on QVC a few months ago and I was a little nervous because I usually don't buy foundation or concealer if I can't see it in person.

I am so glad that I made the purchase because it is truly the best foundation I've ever used. I have no idea how it covers so well, yet feels so light.

True confession time: I have dark spots and some melasma on my cheeks. I also alternate between dry patches on my nose and chin with oily spots on my cheeks. I have never been able to be really happy with a foundation until now.

I used to use Smashbox and while I liked it, I had to use A LOT of concealer to get the coverage I wanted...and then I felt like I had a face full of makeup on.

I used a TINY drop of this foundation, applied it with Tarte's foundation brush and I could not believe the coverage. I need zero concealer when I wear it and yet, it covers all of my imperfections and still feels light.

I would highly recommend getting the Tarte Foundation brush, because it really helps to buff the foundation on and get the full and even coverage that you want. It really helps to give you an almost air-brushed look.

I will never use another foundation again and I hope, hope, hope that Tarte never discontinues it.

I have fair/light skin with pinkish undertones and I have the light-medium and medium shades. They are very true to their color too. (I use the light-medium during Fall/Winter months and the medium during the Spring/Summer).

This foundation is the very best product out there. I have Celiacs disease and have been through chemo and radiation. My skin has been through the wringer. FINALLY I found my perfect foundation, thanks to the helpful people at Sephora. I have acne-prone, sometimes oily, sometimes flaky and dry, and very sensitive skin. Owch, right? But that just means if it's amazing for me, most likely it'll work well for you too. Before I found this, I was just getting so sick of anti-acne foundations that would make my face chalky and uneven and give me pimples, or long wearing ones that would oxidize and turn tan, and never being able to find the right undertone and shade. I have light, yellowy skin, and light 04 is PERFECT for me. I'm also a vegan, so Tarte's philosophy is great for me. In combination with some powder, this stuff lasts all day and looks flawless, plus, it does not irritate or break out my highly active skin. 5 stars!

I LOVE this foundation.

I have Celiacs disease, and recently my skin had started becoming very finicky with cosmetics ((from face wash to foundation)). It got to the point that my skin was a red, swollen, itchy, puffy mess. I purchase just about all of my makeup from sephora, and when I consulted a sales representative about my situation she went to the back to research their products. Tarte was the only option that didn't have wheat gluten in the ingredient list, naturally I opted to purchase the foundation.
I have dry skin by nature, but it is very luminous on its own. This foundation leaves me looking dewy and airbrushed, while covering my red cheeks, but letting my freckles as well as my radiance show through. I am extremely fair, and the lightest shade is just a tinge too dark for me. I use the smooth operator micronized clay finishing powder ((the white one)) and it lightens it up enough to look flawless on my skin.

This foundation is amazing...just not for me. I have clear fair skin (with yellow undertones) but decided to try a makeup (from Tarte) with more coverage than the tinted moisturizer. Unfortunately, it covered so well that it you couldn't see the natural radiance of my skin through it, even with very light application. HOWEVER, I had my step-mom try it (fair skin with red undertones) and it completely evened out her skin. GORGEOUS. So, it is hers now. :-) The application was smooth and the airbrush was fantastic. Would recommend this if you have some troubled skin or need lots of coverage. If your skin is clear and even, this might not be the best choice for you.

I really love this foundation!!!! The texture is like liquid powder when applied to the face. It immediately adheres to the skin giving a smooth , matte, and flawless canvas. I got the shade deep from the Sephora store near me and it seems to be a great fit. When I first applied the foundation, it looked as if it was to light and washing me out. As the day went on, I noticed that the foundation seemed to adjust (if possible) to my skin tone. One thing that kind of bothers me about this foundation is the sparkly bits in it. If you don't like foundation/s that have some sparkle and/ or illuminating properties this foundation might not be for you. Again, more color choices for darker skin tones would be wonderful. Since deep is the darkest shade this foundation comes in, I won't be able to wear it in the summer when I get my summer tan. That kinda sucks!

The makeup went on so smoothly and gave me flawless coverage without me feeling like I had too much caked on. Very natural and beautiful. I bought the FAIR. I am quite pale and it worked out for me but if you are not pale this would be a very bad choice. It has yellow undertones which cancels out the redness. I like it very much!

I will definitely be using tarte for all my makeup needs now! I already love their eyeshadows! Now they have caught my heart with all of their complexion products. It's quite wonderful to have such a natural dependable company accessible to everyone of any income!

This is the product that made me leave 10yrs of Bare Minerals behind. I love the coverage. My oily T-zone stays matte longer with this than anything else, and my drier cheeks seem to feel softer! I have the brush, but I don't use it for foundation, I just use my fingers. This foundation really holds up all day ~ even when the Florida humidity kicks up. I would but this again & again & again.

This is a great full coverage foundation. It goes on smooth with the Bamboo airbrush foundation brush. I originally ordered this from QVC, when only 5 shades were available. I'm normally a "Honey" complexion and ordered the Tan. It was a bit lighter on me than I expected so I'm glad to see that this site has a Tan-Deep, that I can try. I gave my sister the foundation and its a perfect shade for her. Hopefully more shades will be available, with names that are comparable to other foundations, such as Honey.

Like many others that have commented, I bought this foundation at QVC. It is an awesome product! Excellent coverage, easy to blend with the brush! The staying power is there, and I find a little goes a long way for me. I use TAN in this foundation and also the concealer. I squeeze out a little on my finger and dab on my face, then blend with the brush, versus applying to the brush then my face. This helps with the even coverage.

I've been using this since it came out in a kit on QVC. I really like this foundation. It covers plenty but still looks like skin. I am over 50 with normal skin (a little dryer in the winter) and this really is nice.
I have it in Medium and Light. Medium is perfect in the summer and most of the time but I got the Light for the winter. I find the Light just a tad too light so I usually wear a touch of bronzer or mix it with the medium and it's perfect. I think the addition of the Light/Medium shade is great.

I'm glad I got the auto-delivery on the QVC kit because it's a little expensive. BUT, I also thinks it's worth the price because a little goes a long way and the tube lasts forever. I would recommend getting the big fluffy foundation brush that Tarte offers as well. It's great for getting that flawless finish after tapping a few dots on your face.

This is the product that sold me on switching from powder foundations to liquids. I have been getting older (we all are), in my late late twenties. I was noticing that the powder I was using was drying my skin terribly, which was leading my skin to over produce oil. Viscous cycle that led to breakouts and other skin issues such as premature fine lines from the dry areas. My previous skin was breakout prone, very oily in t-zone, and very dry everywhere else. I had a lot of peeling and flaking. It was bad skin. I switched, which was very scary for me. I was using the same foundation since I was twelve. I think a lot of us get into routines, which turn into ruts. We must reassess what our skin needs regularly (very regularly). That is one of the reasons this foundation is so fabulous. It has you covered whether you are dry, combination, normal, or oily.

When I first switched, my skin did have a slight adjustment period. For about a week my skin was still over producing oil, but it was from what I was using prior. After a week I noticed less oil, less dryness, and less flaking. After about two weeks, my skin starting clearing up. I still get breakouts, but now it is once or twice a month and no longer every day. After three months I noticed I needed less makeup. Since this is full coverage, I decided to try tartes oil free tinted moisturizer. I found the coverage on that was too light. I mix this and the TM for the perfect medium coverage. If you like a full coverage foundation, a thicker makeup, you may find this a bit lighter at first. It is weightless for the coverage it gives. Very comfortable on the skin. I suggest using a water based oil free moisturizer if you are oily, and a water based moisturizer if you are dry, before you apply. If you have flaking, you may need a primer to smooth that. If we are going to wear makeup, why not wear makeup that is actually good for our skin?

Onto color. I am fair. Not someone who calls myself fair, but actually wears foundations in the light to medium range. I wear the fairest shade a company makes and 9/10 it is not fair enough. Imagine my surprise when the fair in tarte actually matched my skin. You have to be pale for the fair to match. If you think for a fraction of a second that you are not glow in the dark ghastly shockingly pale/fair, get the ivory or light. My mom typically goes from light to medium depending on season, sometimes even tan in summer. She first tried the light. It is a little bit yellow, which is nice if you are pink as it will cancel that out. She then tried the medium, which is a perfect fit for her most of the year (medium beige is usually what she wears from MN). She tried the tan, but it was just a bit too dark on her southern italian skin. She mixes medium with tan in the summer. Wears medium in fall and spring. Mixes light with medium in winter. I say all this because few of us are a perfect match. Mixing is great, as you get the perfect color all year. Just buy the lightest you are and the darkest you are, mix away.

I have the medium from QVC, and I LOVE this foundation!!! I have combination skin. VERY oily on my cheeks and forehead, but very dry on my chin. This is a dream come true! THANK YOU Maureen! I put it in at 6am and by 6pm, I still look amazing! In my oily areas I do have to do a little touch up if I'm going out that night with my husband. It with stands the sweat i work up from playing with my two 4 year olds and 1yr old (all boys). I use to use BE and swore never again would I go back to liquid foundation that made my oily acne prone skin clogged and would break out. Then I decided to give this a try since I LOVE the Tarte blushes (powder and cream are AMAZING). What can I say... I'm now completely converted over to Tarte Cosmetics! I'm 26 and love my skin FINALLY, thanks to a wonderful woman named Maureen!

I wanted to mention that I'm from Arizona and this held up great in the summer months of 110 degrees. I'm in GA now due to Army move and this is withstood the humid summer here. As for winter it has helped keep my face matte and moisturerized! Amazing no matter the weather!

I have been using this for quite some time because I ordered it initially from QVC, to which it was exclusive for a time. I really love it and notice that the other QVC reviewers do also. It is good for you makeup with all the sun protection you need. I am a redhead and have it in the medium...a good basic color...Qvc did not offer it in the light medium and I will try it next.

I ordered this from Qvc a few weeks ago after watching your showcase & I have made the switch,this is the BEST foundation I have ever used!I love the ingredients are pure,it doesn't settle in my frown line & works with my sensitive skin very well...........I naturally "glow" again & people are noticing!

So happy to see AC foundation finally on Tarte's website. I love this foundation. I got mine with the 8th World Wonder TSV that sold at QVC last year. It provides full coverage and you only need a small amount for the entire face. Mine came with the foundation brush, which is a must IMO.
I don't use primer with this foundation as it isn't necessary, at least not for me. I highly recommend this product.

Awesome .. been trying to find the right foundation .. I am 60+ and have combination skin . I also live in deep south texas .. where it is ultra hot and most everything melts off your face . I also have the eyebrow mouuse and the I purchased one of the kits that had perf cream eye shadow , blush and more .. Im looking forward to more kits and Im sold on Amazonian Clay and Tarte.

I also have purchased for my daughter in Houston .. she loves it as well... Bring on the Amazonian Clay .
P.S. I got so nervous that I would run out that I purchased double Amazonian Clay and Extra Brushes . Yikes...
