OK! So I got this as a sample in Walnut, and it wasn't my shade. ( I'm atleast one or two shades lighter ) BUT!!! I loved it as a new light brown eye shadow for very minimum make-up days. I have self proclaimed oily eyelids, and this keeps my black liner from smudging onto my crease/brow one. I like the texture of this powder, and it is coverage that can be built up depending on your look. So even if this shade isn't my color, I'd totally use it for a matte bronzer look too. Thank you for the sample Tarte! It gave me a good taste of this powered foundation.

My skin is dry and I was a powder girl for awhile but doesnt cover a whole lot but you add the concealer from tarte it helps but it enhances the dryness of my skin too. Was a sample so I'm not complaining to much. I'm sure be great for people with not much to cover

After first purchasing Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation (and LOVING it), I decided to purchase this powder. This powder pairs perfectly with the foundation and provides excellent coverage. I occasionally need a touch up in the afternoon, as I live in a humid climate. I just purchased the powder brush and am confident I will be equally impressed!

I use this powder to set my liquid foundation in (which is also by tarte). I could not be happier. This powder goes perfectly with the liquid foundation and keeps my skin looking flawless, unlike other powders that clump or does not go on evenly or ones that make your face look flakey. This powder is also very light and feels like you're not wearing any makeup! This is my must go to item!

This powder works wonders! I was looking for a powder that was talc free and a little more on the high end side and decided to go with Tarte. This is also my first time trying Tarte and I am very pleased. I was previously using a powder with talc in it and I did not realize how powdery it made me look. I can put a few layers of this powder on and it does not look powdery or cakey at all. The difference is amazing! I am so glad I invested my money into buying this powder. I will be trying a few more products from Tarte soon! I highly recommend this powder!

I *adore* this powder. Being the kind of person who doesn't like to spend a lot of money on one thing, I was very hesitant to buy this. I bought it, anyway -- and I am tremendously glad that I did. It's worth every penny.

I have combination skin that is very dry and flaky in some places, but a bit oily in the t-zone, especially around my nose. This completely balances my skin, hydrating the dry areas and drying up the oily areas. (Most powders dry out my skin completely.) Also, every powder I've tried has highlighted any flakes and has ended up looking cakey, but this powder hasn't done either of those things. The vitamins (A and E) and minerals in the powder have actually helped my complexion a lot, too.

I initially hated the new compact because it wasn't what I saw on display at Ulta and on the website, so I was a bit surprised and had thought that I bought a different product by accident. I felt that the separate compartment for the sponge was more sanitary, too. However, the compact really grew on me and I actually prefer this one now, because it seems more durable than the shiny compact. I just keep the little plastic disc between the sponge and the powder, so the sponge was an easy problem to fix. Besides, I don't use the sponge, anyway.

The buildable coverage is also very nice, but you really don't need to "build" very much for good coverage, as the powder is well-pigmented. I have a friend who owns this and she thought that it was a mineral foundation because it covered so well! I also love that Tarte is an environmentally-friendly, cruelty-free company and that the compact is refillable. However, I must take half of a star off of the review because the refills don't come in lighter shades! Otherwise, this would be a completely perfect review.

This powder is amazing! It's so unique! It's talc-free so it's not chalky, powdery, or drying. That's important especially as you age, because you want a product that sets your makeup but won't cause you to look older. I personally have issues with adult acne and dry skin, and this product hasn't caused breakouts, won't highlight flakiness, doesn't dry my skin out, and won't settle into fine lines. I use it very lightly with a small brush to set my under-eye concealer as well as all over my face and it works well both ways. It contains minerals and antioxidants which is hard to find in a face powder. It leaves a beautiful semi-matte, natural looking finish. Face powder is not all made the same, and this is definitely a worth-while purchase for me. The compact is pretty, contains a quality sponge applicator (not a velvet pouf), and has a nice mirror which makes it nice for travel. I clearly love this product, and I would recommend this for all skin types and ages. I use the color "Light" and I find it to be light coverage but it can be built up to medium coverage without looking unnatural or causing dryness.

Love this powder will put it on top of my BB Cream & looks great and natural! Also if you want to just use your concealer & this on top look Fabulous as well!!!
This powder doesn't look like a funky gunky powder nor does it clog your pores like those yucky powders do!
This is Fabulous!!!

The compact itself didn't end up looking like this picture, but it's still purple and I actually like it better (it matches my bag perfectly!). The powder itself applies nicely and does a good job mattifying. It's not full coverage and works for setting my makeup than wearing on its own. I will definitely buy the pressed powder refill when I run out.

Love this product! I used to use MAC which provided too much coverage. This one feels less caked on and much lighter and healthier for my skin. Blends better with my shade too.
