Prep for each self tanner application by cleansing and then exfoliating skin, especially areas such as elbows, knees and ankles. Make sure skin is dry before application. Use tarte’s unique blending mitt for an easy, no-mess, streak-free tan. Dispense at least a quarter-sized amount of self tanner to the mitt and apply to one body part at a time in long even strokes until the bronze color is uniform. Allow self tanner to absorb for 10 minutes before dressing. Wait at least 8 hours before showering, shaving and sweating to allow a seamless tan to fully develop. Use Brazilliance™ 1-2 times a week to maintain a gorgeous, natural-looking tan.

This is the very first self tanner I have ever used.... and I LOVE it! I'm always skeptical about self tanners due to streaks, or orange coloring,or smelly, etc. I decided I wanted a little color but didn't want to go to the tanning bed. So I searched online for best self tanners and Tarte was top of the list so I thought I'd try it. I used it for the very first time today and it was so easy. I researched online first on how to apply, which was very helpful. I wasn't sure if I could use it on my face and one video had a good tip about mixing the tanning lotion with your face lotion.I did that and it worked really nicely. The color is nice and it has a faint smell but it's nice and sweet. I, as your typical consumer and mom over 35, highly recommends this product. So much that I took time out of my busy day to write this review!

Hallelujah! A self tanner that actually looks natural! No streaks, easy to apply, & no nasty smell! I was kind of anxious about using since I am extremely fair skinned, but it looks great! Had someone ask me the other day if I had gotten back from the beach ;)

I've just started using this product but I love the nice, glowy color. It's easy to apply with the mitt (be sure to use it - I tried to apply it with just my hands the first time and it was hard to get the bronze color off my fingers). I love that this is a healthy alternative to tanning beds. The smell is nice - no strong chemical odor or overpowering fragrance. I'm not sure how long the color lasts, but it's easy to apply so I'll be using this all summer. :)

I got a sample of this product in one of my purchases and I have to say that I have never tried a self tanner before so I have no horror stories or other products to compare this to. But, I really did love it! I'm so pale and I find tanning booths so unhealthy and a waste of money so this tanner is like a miracle. I purchased the full size product and got to try it out on more areas. At first i was a little splotchy around my neck area with the mitt but, the next couple times I got the hang of it. It gives you such a natural glow! Definitely worth every penny!

This tanner smells amazing and my semi pale skin with combination undertones looks natural after using it even on my usually obvious legs. I mean most of the time if i bother with a self tanner I streak or its too orange or it smells super bad with this as long as you prep your skin even minorly and use a good amount in nice big circles no streaks and nice color develops after an hour or so I used my hands the first time but will be using the mitt provided from now on! Thank you for creating the best self tanner ever mm who needs perfume just need tan legs.

this is my all time favorite self tanner. PLEASE SUPERSIZE IT!!!!!!! it actually smells good which is crazy for a self tanner, you see where it applies so there is no streaking and the color is perfect- not too light but not super dark! I also love I am getting the benefits of maracuja when I apply it.

I love tarte products but I was highly disappointed by this product. I have olive skin but over the winter have lightened up. I have used other self tanners (St Tropez) which I liked but I love tarte's philosophy so I was excited to try the product. The product dries quickly and as a result I had to use A LOT to cover my arms and legs. The application also does not apply smoothly and leaves streaks even with use of the mitt. I look like I have spots on my arms and have had to wear long sleeved shirts the past couple of days. It has begun to become streaky on my neck and I am so embarrassed. The scent reminds me of gingerbread which doesn't bother me and it is moisturizing. I absolutely love the maracuja concealer and foundation and I was really hoping to like this product but I will never purchase again.

I really love this stuff, gives a natural looking tan and leaves your skin super soft. The mitt is very helpful in getting it even. It does however still have a self tanner scent but not near as awful as others on the market. I put it on a night before bed and can wash it off in the shower in the morning. I have already purchased a back up.

I absolutely love this self-tanner! It is easy to apply and the color is even and natural. It appeared a bit dark at first, but after I took a shower it lightened up nicely. The tan lasts for days and fades slowly, so I only need to apply twice a week. I am in love with this product!

I'm very light skinned and this tanner actually looked good on me - not too dark at all. I got this as a sample so I didn't have the glove. I think the glove might be helpful so I plan to purchase the tanner with the glove to get a glow going this spring. The only thing is that it was a little hard to apply - I couldn't quite tell if I had gotten every spot. It did seem to blend in just fine though once it had time to dry and sink in. My hands were brown for a couple hours after applying, even though I had washed them right away. But overall I think this is a great self tanner and way better for you than baking in the sun!
