I've technically already reviewed this item, but I wanted to gave it 4.5 stars the first time, and it really deserves 5 stars. Wearing this eye liner I have: gone jogging, danced, swam briefly, and pretty much any activity you could think of. It has stay put and it has served me well. This liner has a very silky smooth finish, no nasty clumps you may find with other gel liners. It's easy to layer for this reason which is nice. I got the brown as part of a set which is nice for a softer, more natural day look. Now I want the black for a more dramatic look! Oh, and the brush that comes with it is divine! Using a primer before application will ensure it stays on all day, especially if your eye lids tend to get oily like mine. Would you buy this product again? Yes

Great eyeliner. I was a little concerned about applying it on, but the brush that comes with it makes applying easy and precise. I have to just say that this is THE BEST eyeliner I have ever used! I have tried all of Tarte's other liners and this one is it. The pencil ones end up smudging and running, and the liquid pencil one is cool but has a flashy "wet" look to it, but this one is just right. It doesn't budge or give me raccoon eyes, it looks perfect, and though it is waterproof, I don't have problems getting it off at the end of the day with makeup remover. I have a few pots of the black, but I think I should branch out soon and try a color...maybe the purple??? ;) Would you buy this product again? Yes

Best gel liner I have used. I have seasonal allergies and I need an eyeliner that is going to last all day even when my eyes get a bit watery. I have tried SEVERAL gel liners that have claimed to be waterproof and none have worked as well as this eyeliner. This is by far the BEST liner I've ever used! The staying power is insurmountable. You can easily paint on a clean line (I always do cat eye), or get a sexy smokey look with easy blending. The double sided brush is very easy to use and clean. Each time you buy it, it comes with a brush which is a lil annoying because I now have 4 of them. I use the black almost everyday, but I also have the purple and the green. I would like to try the bronze next. I wish there was a Navy blue, because i'd buy that too. Great product I couldn't be stranded on a dessert island without :) Would you buy this product again? Yes

I really don't understand all of the negative reviews about this liner drying out. I have three of them in black, bronze, and green....and all of them are as creamy as day one. i've had them for nearly a year, now. this is, for me, the best potted gel liner I have ever used....even better than the much-loved stila smudge pots. this stays on all day, does not smudge, and the brush makes application a breeze. as someone who normally doesn't even wear eye liners on a daily basis, I would qualify these as must haves. I wanted to try this product because of the great reviews I had read, but I was a little let down unfortunately. It is very creamy, easy to apply, and I have had no problems with it drying out, but I find that it rubs off on the upper part of my eyelid very easily. It is to the point where there is a thick black line in the middle of my eyelid within thirty minutes of having it on. Maybe I need to use a better primer, but for now I am sticking with a liquid eyeliner. Would you buy this product again? Yes

i have this in black. the dark, vivid color stays rich all day. I use it with an eyeliner brush for a bold look or to line smoky eyes (I don't think pencils show up or stay as well on smoky eyes) or dab a small amount of product lightly on my finger and apply to eyelids as a dark grey shadow Would you buy this product again? I love eyeliner in a pot, and this is the best I've tried so far. It is easy to apply, and I love the brush that comes with it. I find the wider side is easier to use, and I can still get it close to my lashes. I got brown which really makes my blue-green eyes pop. Not very excited about this one, I bought it in the blue and while I love the brush that came with it, I'm not to fond of the product. It gets all clumped up on the brush and my eyelid and it literally dried out within the first week I had it! I only got 3 good uses out of it before it dried out. It's still sitting on my sink because I hate the though of throwing it away, but it's to late to return it. I am not an eyeliner newbie, I use liquids, gels, and creams all the time. I do a lot of pinup modeling so I'm a pro at using this type of eyeliner. Being able to draw a precise cateye is a must. This liner is really smooth, creamy, and long lasting. However, on the waterline, it doesn't last so long. You CAN get 3-4 hours out of this on the waterline (which is wayyyyy longer than any pencil) but it's not gonna get you through a work shift without touch ups and smudges. On the lashline it will stay on forever, so for that I give it 4 and a half stars. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I was ify on the moss green color and the bronze I only wanted the black but I bought a three pack of those and I must say that the all of the colors are amazing. The bronze is a beautiful gold brown color. It brightens eyes and makes honey brown eyes sparkle and blue n green eyes stand out. It's great for all eye colors and none of them flake off. I fell asleep in my liner and woke up with it perfectly on as if I had just applied it. I LOVE ALL OF THEM!! and I can't wait to try the blue next. However I wish I also had some bright baby blues and purples to choose from maybe even a cranberry color to make my blue eyes pop but I'm I'm LOVE Would you buy this product again? Yes

I hate to say it, but this was not as great as I thought it would be. I guess I expected a lot more from all the rave reviews, but it didn't really work for me. I think it is nice that it comes with a brush, but the product itself did not live up to its name. It smeared within the first couple of hours that I wore it, and by the end of the day, I had raccoon eyes. I kept checking in the mirror throughout the day, and every time I looked, I had black gel liner smeared under my eyes. I tried using it to line my upper lid, waterline, bottom lid...no matter how I used it, it smeared. It also has a tendency to disappear from my waterline, but somehow manage to migrate underneath it and get all over the place. I'll give it two stars because the black was very black, and the gel was creamy and nice. However, the staying power can definitely use some improvement. I really wanted this to work, but I don't think I'll be repurchasing unless they improve the formula. Would you buy this product again? Yes

Absolutely love this eye liner! I am a professional make up artist, and I've used several other gel/cream liners in the past from other lines (i.e. BB, MAC, Smashbox) and this compares to all of them in quality and staying power. But, what sets Tarte's apart from the others is that it is a cleaner product in terms of ingredients. There are no preservatives or parabens. I also really love the brush that comes with it! Just make sure you close the top on tightly when not using it. It will dry out quickly if you don't. Would you buy this product again? Yes

This is by far the best eyeliner I've tried. Every eyeliner that claims to have staying power ends up runny on my face, and by midday I look like a raccoon. I guess those other eyeliners work well if you work in an air conditioned office, but tartes eyeliner stays in place in humid summer sun. The thin side of the brush lets me draw a perfect thin line, and I use the other side to "set" the eyeliner with a black eyeshadow. As for people who claim their eyeliner dried out, you can add a drop of duraline, or any of those potions that allow one to turn a powder eyeshadow into a liquid liner, and it will bring your gel liner back to life..like new! I've had mine for a few months now, and mine hasn't dried out at all, it still is as creamy as the day I bought it, and I use it everyday. Would you buy this product again? Yes

Very surprised by this product. Opened the jar tentatively expecting a powdery gloop, didn't get it- instead its a lovely solid cream. I wish Tarte would improve the quality of their eye products to match the high quality of their complexion products and cheek stains. All of their eyeshadows are unblendable, horrible pigmentation and are of inferior quality. The aquagel eyeliners smear smudge and crumble on your eyes after a few hours, and now this emphasEYES™ Amazonian clay waterproof liner...
When I first got this aqualiner in black, it was promising, I was very pleased with the ease of application but after two weeks, the contents in the jar completely dried up!! I tried to warm the jar in up in my hands for 10 minutes, I would dig my fingernails into it to warm it up and create pockets where the product could be gathered from (messy and unhygenic) but nothing would bring the product back to its easy-to-use state from just two weeks prior, you'd think it had been sitting around for a couple of years! I think I got three good applications out of that jar. Pretty pricey per application. I will NOT re-purchase. Come on, Tarte. I love your foundations and blushs. Please improve the quality of your eye makeup line. Would you buy this product again? Yes

LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! one of my favorite eyeliners! Not totally waterproof (but I have really oily lids so if your dry you are would be fine and every liner I have used smudges.) It does last all day with light smudges but if you're oily I would not recommend using it on the bottom lash line it will come off. Easy application, has never irritated my eyes, great color(blackened plum), hasn't dried out yet since I use it almost everyday for over a year!! Would you buy this product again? Yes

I have this in black. I love how you can smudge it until it sets. Once it sets it stays put all day. It does not transfer to my upper lid and easily gives you the "cat's eye" look with a nice thing line application.

I was so excited to try this product and I really wanted to start using gel eyeliner. I bought an eyeliner kit from Sephora that included the black eyeliner pot just to try it. It came dried out and I was unable to re-hydrate it. Pity I didn't keep the receipt, because it was a complete waste of money. I'll never repurchase any of these eyeliners again or recommend anyone else does. Luckily, I was able to test the Emphaseyes Aqualiner Pencil in a kit and loved it so much I literally have bought a dozen pencils in different colours for my mother and myself. these are the best in the cream eyeliner groups. easy to apply and the brush makes the difference. you need a brush like that to really get a good line. works really great under the eyes also. once it is on, it really stays put. I bought this in Green. I noticed it is in a smaller container than the Purple I got a year ago. It also didn't have the plastic tab that covers the product under the cap. I didn't have the brush before. It's terrific. I'm glad they lowered the price to $22 awhile back. It's worth the purchase. It's smooth and looks great. I used the lock and roll eyeshadow in rosegold and the green liner the other day. I wound up having to move a bunch of stuff in a super warm house. I still had most of the makeup on after sweating heavily for about 2 hours. Awesome stuff. Would you buy this product again? Yes

This review is meant to replace an older review because I used this product with an angled eyeliner brush that I already had instead of the brush this liner came with. After I wrote my old review, I wanted to give the product one last try before I wrote it off completely. So for this final time, I used the tarte brush that came with the liner. This made all of the difference... This stuff is awesome. The liner doesn't smudge or flake. It is so easy to put on with the brush that it comes with. It is so easy to do details. I accidentally rubbed my eye and the liner didn't smudge at all. Great product although the top layer does seem to lose moisture pretty quickly. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I was so excited when I got this at home couldn't wait to use it. When I fist tried it and touched it it was creamy. I got the black pot and the color is super jet black. I love the way that it applies BUT.... I really hated the brush it comes with, it seems like a cheap brush I tried to do a really thin line on my upper eye, no matter how much I tried it kept coming out thick. I love the pot but hated the brush. I'm getting a different brush for this product. It does last all day long except in the corner of you're eyes. Overall I would still get it. This stuff is ok. I like that it hasn't yet dried out on me after several months, unlike some other gel liners I have tried, but it has a tendency to smudge really badly over the course of the day. I love this liner! I have it in Plum and it's a really great, deep purple. It stays on all day, cream/liquid liners always transfer to my lid and this hasn't at all! I'm very impressed. Just make sure to keep the top tightly screwed on and you shouldn't have a problem with it drying out. Would you buy this product again? Yes

This product really delivers for what I wanted it for. I have golden/moss green eyes, which are deep set...meaning upper lid with deep crease. That is a problem for all over eyelid shadows, as they all eventually settle into my crease. No matter if powder or cream. I bought Bronze and Green. I use one or the other as a wide liner on my upper lid, with the fantastic 'smudge' end of brush included. I just smudge into crease area. Then Mascara of course. The effect is smokey without too much color, just 'accent' for my natural eye color. After 10 hours, the color is still right where I put it. No creasing at all. I love this stuff. I have this eyeliner in black. I must say, it is awesoooome! Definitely one of the best ones I have tried. It is creamy, it glides on easily, and stays on. I absolutely love it! The brush that comes along with it is also pretty awesome, it is double sided - one end is thicker and more for smudging it all over the lid, while the other side is thin for a perfect winged liner effect. The brush is definitely easy to work with. Besides this, I loved the packaging it came in, the back of the box had instructions on how to achieve certain looks depending on how thick you want the line to turn out, which I found really helpful. Overall, a pretty good product worth the price. Would you buy this product again? Yes

Have this in Indigo and use it nearly everyday! My first shipment of this, the product was all shriveled up and dried out. This is one out of two eyeliners that I've ever used that actually stays on all day! The other one is a liquid liner that looks much more harsh and defined. Emphaseyes Waterproof Clay Eyeliner stays on all day (despite my oily complexion) and is very versatile. It's very smooth and glides on easily. I was so excited for this product that I couldn't decide which color I wanted. So, I bought both the bronze and the plum! I started with the bronze and was so DISAPPOINTED because it was dry, hard, but crumbly IN the container. I struggled to apply it on the way that I would have liked. I wasn't too excited to try out the plum (oddly, was in a smaller sized jar than the bronze) color, but it was totally DIFFERENT from the bronze. It was creamy and easy to apply. I would like to clarify that this review if for the black eyeliner ONLY. I did another review for the blackened plum which I absolutely adored!! It was silky, applied smoothly, did not flake or dry out in the pot, unlike the black eyeliner. I know there were some other people who also mentioned this, but I thought it dried out due to the lid being left open. I keep the lid tight and make sure I don't leave it open for too long, but my black one was hard to use from the very beginning. Now I know it must be due to the product formulation since my blackened plum is going strong and I still use often, but I haven't used or will ever use my black eyeliner since its so hard to put on. However, I will purchase the blackened plum when it is available again and will recommend that product to others. Would you buy this product again? Yes

Really liked the colors and have used gel eyeliners before and liked the way they looked and lasted. Tended to dry out before the jars were even half used and I made sure to keep the lids on tightly. Have tried to used it as a shadow but mine was way too dried out to even apply smoothly as a liner. This is not a one time problem as I own 3 different colors that came in sets and all of them have dried up. Have tried to revive them with a bit of water on the brush but that didn't word too well. I got this is a set from Sephora - The bronze set from last fall (2010). It did not come with the brush. I bought a cheap slanted brush that works well. I have had it (It's in plum by the way) for 9 or 10 months. I heard plenty of people complaining it dried out. I kept the little plastic inside cover. It goes on smooth and though it's a bit dryer on the top layer than when new (mostly because I haven't used it in a few months while it was lost in a box during a move) it still goes on smooth and lasts all day. My advice? DON'T THROW AWAY THE LITTLE PLASTIC PROTECTOR. It seems to help keep moisture in the product.
I love how pretty it is and how well it lasts. It's not as smooth as the aqua-gel liner, but it does have some shine which makes it stand out. I plan to get the green soon. Beautiful product. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I've only been wearing this as eyeliner for about a week after replacing my liquid eyeliner. However, I'm not 100% completely convinced with it. The first time I used it I was amazed how smooth and creamy the liner was. I used the thin end of the eyeliner brush to apply it, and again, was amazed at how easy and smooth it was to apply. With the thin end of the eyeliner brush, you can really make sure you get the liner at the base of your lashes. I've used the other end of the brush to sort of smudge the product on my upper lash line, and also on the lower waterline. It stays well on the lower lash line, surprisingly, but tends to "migrate" a bit on the upper lash line (my only complaint). I'm still experimenting with avoiding the migrating upper lash line, but I would recommend it to someone who is tired of using liquid eyeliner that's sometimes frustrating to apply. I love it. I came back to buy a few more colors. I love using liners that come in a jar to use with a brush when I have extra time to draw on a dramatic eye. This formula is so creamy and goes on like butter, literally. I don't have the brush that comes with it. I have been using my slanted edge brushes or liner brushes that I have. So, today's order will have a few brushes to try out.
If I make a mistake, it's pretty easy to fix to even out with this formula. It doesn't dry so quick that you can't fix a mistake. It also applies so smooth that mistakes hardly happen. This liner works great to make a winged liner, double winged, or just a thin line above the lash line. Since it's waterproof, I also use it with another brush to tightline and waterline instead of messing with a cake liner.
Other gel liners that come in a jar like this dry out quick or are clumpy or the formula is just dry to begin with making it hard to apply. These liners are richly pigmented, so I can never get the color I get from these with a pencil or marker-style eyeliner. I love using it & ordered their gel liner in the twistable pen and I hope it's as pigmented as these.

I bought this in the indigo (blue). It is a great color (Not as artificial looking as the aqua eyeliner that Tarte offers). SOmetimes I do like the brighter color of the aqua, but this blue is darker, so more dramatic. It smudges in great without creases which blows powder shadow out of the water. It lasts all day, which also beats powder. I personally like the way this blends, stays and looks on the eyelid over a powder. I will eventually replace my brown powders with this kind of shadow. It is also ver worth the money since you can use it as liner or shadow, plus seems like it will last for a very long time (you hardly use any when only lining eye). Would you buy this product again? This is one amazing eye liner! My biggest issue is that I have sensetive eyes that get easily irritated. I have tried many inner rim liners from other brands that have flaked,dried and cracked and hurt my eyes. Great Eyeliner. Application glides on easily and can make a thin line or widen line easily. Also can line bottom lid (my trick is to dot between bottom lashes. Stayability is great-waterproof and I wear contacts. Lasts a long time both on your eyes and in the jar....just cap tightly after each use. I'm about to purchase my second jar. I wear contacts once in awhile and this eyeliner does not irritate my sensitive, dry, or watery eyes when in the unforgiving desert. The black and bronze are a must have for day-to-night makeup. It is beautiful to emphasize your top lash with the black and lower lashes with bronze so they are less harsh but emphasize the eyes. Bronze eyeliner is amazing with gold metallic or amber metallic shadows. Too bad Tarte does not allow photo uploads, because you really have to see this to believe it! I recently stumbled upon QVC when TARTE was the product of the hour. I was instantly focused on the Amazonian Clay line--even more so the waterproof cream liner/shadow. I have really oil eyelids and when I tried this eyeliner I was extremely happy right off the bat at how it is extremely smooth when you apply it and goes it goes on richly without need for much of the product to create the desired effect. This cuts down on time because you don't have to fuss to get a bold line!
As far as staying power, I tried it on bare eyelids one day and with an eye shadow the next. On my bare eyelids it created a ghost of a crease on my upper lid probably because it gets to over 100 degrees here, but if you live somewhere cooler I'd say it wouldn't move at all...Still, it performed better than any other eyeliner I've tried! On a shadow base it stayed put all day. Being able to put up with extreme heat of the desert at over 100 degrees makes this my #1 liner. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I'm a healthcare worker and my job requires me to wear a mask which causes moisture from my breath to condense under my saftey glasses and shield and keeps my eyelids moist. This extra moisture causes my eyeliner to smudge and leave marks by my brow bone. Plus, I have high cheekbones which causes my eyeliner on my water line to slip down my cheeks. If you're reading this, I think you get the idea that, by the end of my work day, I'm not wearing my makeup, it's wearing me and I look a mess! I ended up acting on some good advise and bought Tarte eyeliner in brown. I found it initially a bit tricky and time consuming to apply it but now, I can slap in on in seconds. The best part is, IT STAYS ON. IN PLACE. ALL DAY. NO MATTER WHAT. If you rub your eyes, however, it will move on you but what woman who wears eye-makeup rubs her eyes??? Plus, I used to wait an hour or two after getting out of bed before applying eyemakeup because of watery, sensitive eyes but no more! I loved it so much, I also bought the blackend purple. It is much easier to control than a liquid liner, therefore less mess-ups and clean up. I have always experienced cracking with liquid or gel liners, and this one didn't. I have this in plum. It's a very nice dark purple. Not too bright, which I really like because I wanted a subtle look. It's really easy to apply a precise line without any mess. Goes on smoothly, stays for a really long time, and looks great! The only con I have is that my first one dried out very fast even though I made sure the lid was on tightly every time I used it. I would recommend this eyeliner, though, and with the brush included you really can't beat the price! Would you buy this product again? Yes

I have always been a fan of gel eyeliner and was loyal to smashbox's liner for years......until now!!! Tarte waterproof clay eyeliner blows all other liners out of the water (or Amazon River....ha ha). The application is effortless and I love the high pigment, in fact, I threw out my liquid liner because this can give you a liquid look with out the fuss! I know a lot of people have issues with liner like this drying out. YOU HAVE to make sure that you keep it tightly closed at all times, even if you applying to one eye and are going to do the other eye right away. Also this liner lasts forever and doesn't budge. If I forget to take it off at night I will wake up the next morning and it will still look perfect! Would you buy this product again? Yes

I bought this eyeliner in a promotional package and absolutely love it. It is easy to apply form the first application, no learning curve with this liner. I prefer the skinny end of the brush for a subtle day time look. The liner stays put, even with my allergy eyes. I have been searching for a product like this. I don't have to check and recheck for raccoon eyes throughout the day, and I never have to reapply, except for perhaps adding a thicker line for an evening out. I have this in black. It is the first black liner that I like. Most black liners are too harsh on my fair wearing skin. This one is black, not charcoal pretending to black, but a true black. I think it is wearable because of the brush. You can put on the thinnest line and have it look very polished, or you can put on a thicker line and smudge it out. I prefer the thinner line, just looks more natural on me. This liner is easily blended, does not migrate, stays until you decide to take it off...I love it and hope for a lighter champagne like color for the inside of the eye area. I received this in plum as part of a kit. I really like the color; I wasn't sure if I'd wear plum but it's actually very pretty. I found the consistency to be a bit dry, but my feeling is maybe it was an old one they were getting rid of by throwing it in the kit. I've been using this liner for a week now and i LOVE it! THE BEST I've used so far. My eyes get watery and I always ended up having to fix my liner multiple times during the day. This is by far the best eyeliner I've ever tried! It goes on smoothly, the color remains vibrant and stays on all day. I purchased the liner in blackened plum and I absolutely love it! The accompanying brush makes application super easy too. Like many already mentioned, keeping the cap tightly closed seems to prevent drying. I definitely recommend this product! I have the copper color. It's really a fun color, if you like something a bit funky for eyeliner. I think it would work awesome as an all over lid color for a big pop of color. It's soft and creamy to work with. The only reason I marked it down is that I actually don't like the double ended brush that comes with it. I think a traditional slanted angle eye liner brush would work better to get more control. I would like to purchase the black to try for a daily eyeliner look. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I love this liner! I bought a green one (Sage?) and then bought black, plum, indigo, and bronze since I loved it so much. The colors are great and what you see in the pot is what you see on your eye. The consistency is firm yet creamy enough to get on your brush with just a light stroke. I don't like liners so soft that when you stick your brush in the pot, you poke it right through the product. That's one of the main reasons I was initially drawn to this one. I haven't had them long enough to know how soon they dry out, but I keep them tightly closed. The brush is great as well. I haven't used the fuller side yet, but the skinny side really lets you get close to your lashline. I tend to be clumsy with liners and have a hard time getting them to go on evenly. The formula of this product combined with the included brush make it super easy to get a clean, straight line. The staying power is also impressive. On me, it stays all day until I wash it off late at night - I put it on about 6am. Would you buy this product again? Yes

This stuff is outstanding! I've only been wearing eye makeup outside of mascara for about 2 years, now, and this takes the effort out of applying a gel eyeliner. THE MOST AMAZING EYE BRUSH EVER (Plus the eyeliner)!!! I love it because it's perfect to use as a eyeliner (thick or thin line) or as a dewy shadow; I use the brush many times to convert any eye shadow into a liner, plus the thicker end of the brush lets me put shadow into the trickest of places (or to blend). I am a total eyeliner junkie and when I first purchased this eyeliner, I loved it so much that I had to buy a second one. The eyeliner is super pigmented and has the best consistency at first. The only problem I had with it is that it dries out VERY quickly...much quicker than all the other eyeliners I own. If you can use it fast, then its amazing but it's very hard to use super quickly considering I use eyeliner every day and mines is drying out before I can use half of it. Another great product by Tarte. I have various colors: black, bronze, plum and sage. I love each one of them. I have have them for more than a month now and have not experience any drying. I try to keep them store in a cool drawer, away from light and keep the cap pretty tight. I have never used this type of liners before, as I thought I could not do the line. What a difference between this clay liner and regular pencil ones. I can't go back to the regular pencil ones after this. I just love them. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I got one in black. Pros: great double ended brush, creamy, not drying, have it over 1 month( must close air tight and store in makeup case closed tightly, keep away from dry places or heater in winter time. That's how my makeup would store well and not get wasted. Since drying time is slowed,it allows enough time for me to apply and work the liner into desired shape and darkness. This stuff is so easy to apply and stays on forever. It can flake if you put it on too thick. It's my favorite. I have it in the Plum but it looks like black on me, and I see they just added a blackened plum as well but I don't see why when the other one is already very dark. I wish they would add some brighter colors like Urban Decay has, because I would buy them all over the pencil ones any day. I have had mine for six months and it hasn't dried out. I used this clay liner in black for Halloween to create an awesome leopard print eye and cat whiskers on my cheeks! It looked amazing and lasted all night long, and I got tons of compliments! This is probably the number one product for me. I am in love with this eyeliner. I have to say that I am horrible at putting eyeliner on. It doesn't matter if it is in pencil form, liquid form, that soft pencil form but I was ALWAYS terrible at eyeliner. For the first time ever putting eyeliner on is easy. This goes on SO smooth for me. The brush is perfect and easy to use and I never get any tugging. The eyeliner is so soft but not messy like a liquid can get with an unsteady hand. I can build up the intensity easily. It is totally water proof but comes off so easy when washing your face or with eye make up remover. I love it so much. I usually wear black but the plum is best for me as it's not as harsh but stands out beautifully on my olive tone skin and dark brown eyes. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I'm disappointed with this product. It was great for the first week or two that I had it - but it has since dried up and cracked. Because it is waterproof, you can't even add a drop of water to moisten it back up. When the product is moist, the brush has to be cleaned after each use with makeup remover or you can't get a thin line across your lashes. This isn't necessarily a problem unless you are in a rush. I am a lover of everything Tarte - I tell all my friends about the company, but this is the one product that I would not recommend to anyone. Would you buy this product again? Yes

BEST EYELINER EVER!!!! I wore this to the St. Louis Zoo while on vacation in the record high 100+ temperatures they were experiencing there in the beginning of August, along with Tarte's Lock & Roll Eyeshadow Duo (the cream side only) & it lasted for those 4 hours at the zoo, as well as the rest of the day. IT DID NOT COME OFF AT ALL!!!! I WAS AMAZED!!! 12 HOURS after I applied it when I went to take it off, every bit of it was still there. I even had my usual eye cream underneath it & it did not budge. From my experience, most other cream or gel eyeliners that I have tried have always come off in the outer corners after awhile -- not this one. I am a real eye makeup junkie & have tried them all. Of course, I have these in every color & they are all just GORGEOUS!!! After my zoo trip, I can DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this product to everyone who wants a perfect look that will last all day & I recommend that you get one in every color. You will LOVE them all!!!! This is a good gel/clay eyeliner, but I've noticed that it's starting to dry out some in the pot. Yes, I keep it shut very tight. I only many get liners in pots, and this is the only one to do this. So far I own the bronze, which came in a set, so I don't have the brush, and will soon be getting the plum, also in a set (without the brush). I wish they'd put the brush in some of these sets. Would make it easier to work with. I've tried it as a shadow and looks quite lovely, and also is awesome as a liner. The reason I'm giving it a "4" is because of the drying-up issue it seems to be having. Not sure why that's happening, but I'm a bit disappointed in it. Even with the clay in there, this shouldn't happen. It should be moist enough to be able to line the eyes always. Especially when you're keeping the lid tightly on at all times. This is a great eyeliner. Its the first gel eyeliner I've tried and I am struggling a bit to master the application process. However, it does have fantastic staying power. I wore this for my outdoor June wedding which was very hot, humid and rainy. The eyeliner stayed perfectly despite pleanty of tears during the ceremony and sweating it out on the dance floor. If I have a complaint, its that they eyeliner is too tough to remove. I use an eye make-up remover but still have to rub pretty hard to get it off.

Unfortunately for me it did not stay on for even five hours. My lids are very oily and also hooded. I watched the QVC video saying it's oil-proof, but not on me. I tried it on at Sephora around 3pm, and when I arrived home it had already come almost completely off! As far as ease of use, I loved the brush! The formula also went on easily and it's almost mistake-proof! You could also easily use these as an eyeshadow base for smoky looks. Give it a try if you're disappointed in the chemical use of other brands. I find the aqua-gel eyeliner works better on me. Would you buy this product again? Yes
