I love that this mascara treats your lashes AND is water proof :) Compared to a CoverGirl mascara I have as a back up, this one is a lot less harsh on my lashes. I don't loose nearly as many eyelashes with the Tarte mascara as this formula is treating them - therefore, they grow fuller and longer because it is so gentle. It goes on super easy, so make sure you get the excess off before applying, especially with a new bottle. If not you'll get spider lashes real fast! My lashes feel soft and flexible after I apply it. It takes a tiny bit longer to dry than other mascaras I've used. I dont mind this because I can then go back and apply more for a more dramatic look before they dry completely. The packing is a lil corny, but the product is quality! Would you buy this product again? Yes

Goes on great (usually I don't have to run a brush through to separate my lashes) and wears well. Also, I wear contacts and this does not bother my eyes. This is not Tarte's best mascara as it is a little clumpy. Even with makeup remover, it is very difficult to get off. Before I use it, I comb my eyelashes to separate them, as to prevent clumping. I have also found that when it is applied to the middle towards the end of the lashes, it clumps less. The Amazonian Clay mascara is definitely my favorite. It's just not waterproof. I didn't really like this product. Even though it says waterproof, the mascara is very flaky. It was not flattering to my lashes. The mascara made my lashes look clumped together. This is one of the few cases where I love the waterproof more than the regular mascara.
Usually, the regular mascara is more dramatic and builds better lashes. In fact, I usually layer the waterproof over the regular mascara to get the best of both formulas.
Not necessary for Lights, Camera Splashes! One tube to glossy dark, long, full curly **Waterproof** lashes.

This was okay, but I found it to be a bit clumpy. It also did not hold a curl as well as I had hoped. The packaging is adorable, but for the price, I don't think that it's worth it. This is a fantastic waterproof mascara, if that is what you are looking for. I love the original Lights, Cameras, Lashes the best still, but picked this one up when my store was out of the original. It does work well, covers great, adds volume and separates....BUT...it is so hard to get off! I use eye make up remover, and I will think that I have gotten it all off, washed my face, and an hour later, feel my lashes and they are still all tacky and sticky. I have to go back and take more off again, and really rub my eyes, and this starts to hurt the skin around my eyes. For this reason, I do not wear it much. I love Tarte products, but just have a tough time with this one... Would you buy this product again? Yes

I remember seeing this on QVC so many times & the model's lashes were always so long & thick! Well, I finally decided to give Tarte products a try at the local Ulta store. I had previously been using Mally Beauty's waterproof which gives the faux lash look but I was just tired of my lashes feeling stiff & getting every little hair/fuzz in them & giving my sensitive allergic eyes a big pain. I tried the original & waterproof of this version of Tarte mascara & I instantly fell in love!! This mascara is so very amazing!! It goes on like a dream...and my lashes stay so soft & pretty no matter how many coats I put on! That made me a Tartelette forever, I will never buy another mascara other than Tarte's. It stays incredibly well & I am blown away by how thick, long & SOFT my lashes are...they feel like my bare natural lashes but they look even better than any faux lashes ever!! I love it being all natural & knowing what a great company Tarte is. If the length & volume isn't a no-brainer for you, the feeling of soft, bare lashes but not that clumpy, yucky mascara feeling...well, trust me, you won't be able to go back to those other mascaras, I know I won't!! I purchased the set from Ulta that has a deluxe sample of the original & waterproof version (I tried to buy the waterproof full size over 2 months but it was always sold out!!) and I do love them both...but being in humid FL & having crazy bad allergies, I have to stick to the waterproof version myself. They are both very great at long wear & the waterproof is 100% not going anywhere until you want it to, but comes off easy as pie with remover. Give this a try, whichever version is right for you...I think you'll have found a lifelong mascara like myself!! :)
ps---daily I am amazed when I see my lashes after using this mascara...they look so AMAZING!!! I don't know how Tarte did it, but this is seriously faux lash look but way better!!! Would you buy this product again? Yes

This is my "to go to" waterproof mascara. This stays on perfectly through Zumba and survives my routine 15 minute steam room session. Can't beat the durability of this product. It can be a tad bit stubborn to get off though. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I have recently become a super fan of Tarte. I have tried so many brands of mascaras and they would either make my eyelashes too clumpy or no volume/length at all. This mascara actually lengthens and gives my lashes just enough volume but still look natural. I love that it looks natural and no matter how many times I add coats... it does not clump!!! ever!! I've gone over 4 coats (just for a little drama).. and it DOES NOT clump.. at all! nothing! I dont know how Tarte did it, but I love it! If i could change one thing.. it would be adding a little more volume.. but like i said.. you can go over coat after coat and no clumps . none. zip. na-da. :) love it! I bought this product after getting its non-waterproof counterpart as a free sample.
It's a good product, the only draw back for me is that it is a bit lumpy when you take the brush out of the tube. Unless you wipe off the end of the applicator, the clumps can be a bit overwhelming on your lashes. I end up using a different applicator than the one in the tube.
Other than that, I really like it. It's light and dries pretty darn fast. The lashes stay nice and curled all day, and it really takes some work to get it off, so you don't have to worry about it rubbing or streaking off your face!

I love this mascara. I use this on hot humid days or when it rains as I know it will stay perfectly in place. I do try to use the regular lights, camera, lashes mascara when possible though, as this one feel like it is drying out my eyelashes a bit more than that one. I've tried both the original Lights, Camera, Lashes! and, more recently, Lights, Camera, Splashes!. This waterproof version seems a little thinner than the original but it still works great for me. It gives the most fabulous length and never flakes or smudges! My only "complaint" is that it might work too well. I have to really work to get it off every night; even with eye make-up remover it takes some time to get it off completely. Overall, I'm very pleased with it and will definitely purchase it again. This mascara was very good for a waterproof mascara. It lasted all day for me at the beach. If I do not scrub my eyes when washing my face (I wash my face very well but do not scrub eyes) it will stay on for 1-2 days). I personally still like the 3-day lash stain the best though. Not as awesome as the "normal" Lights, Camera, Lashes! This clumps up a bit more. That being said, it still curls, thickens, and lengthens my lashes and stays on through a rafting trip :)
The lashes come out somewhat matte, but that's probably people's preference. It does not flake, and you can be sure that this won't smudge nor melt. Great product. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I really love Lights Camera Lashes so I figured I would try the waterproof version. I'm not impressed with this one. For some reason I can never get the product onto my lashes. It goes on very thin and makes my lashes stick together. Also, I think it's because the product is pretty thin on the brush, it actally hurt my lower lash line when I was attempting to put it on. I purchased this product at Sephora after trying & returning UltraFlesh Panthera. I wanted a mascara that separated, added length, definition and was also budge proof.
Lights, Camera, Splashes is GREAT! It's shiny when going on and does everything I need it too.
The packaging is adorbs!
The only thing I don't like is that it seems to transfer easily on to my eyelids while putting it on, therefore, it doesn't dry quickly at all. I went to the chiropractor today, several hours after applying my Lights, Camera, Splashes and after laying on the table face down, my eyelashes were all smushed together. I couldn't separate them again, as I didn't have a lash comb with me.
Other than that, I LOVE this stuff! Would you buy this product again? Yes

This is a very good product. Not only is it waterproof, but it adds so much more volume to my lashes. The only downside to this is that it takes a bit longer for it to dry compared to other mascaras I tried. I have average lashes - sparse and on the short side (asian eyes.) I've never been very impressed by any mascara and always considered sample mascaras to be throwaways....until I stumbled upon Tarte's Waterproof Mascara. All I can say is, wow!
Some key points:
- No clumping and beautiful separation
- Brush size was perfect for my not-so-very long lashes
- My lashes actually seemed to be lengthened
- Stays put all day long and easily removed with cleansing oil at the end of the day
- Can easily apply a few coats
I did not, by any means, have fluttery doll eyelashes....but with this mascara, they were naturally beautiful. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I got some of this mascara in a kit (best way to buy Tarte on a budget). This is 100 times better than the non-waterproof kind as it DOES NOT FLAKE. The brush is also shaped so you don't get too much product (also 100 times better than lights, camera, lashes). That means less wiping off the brush before applying to your lashes. Also less wasted product. I knocked off half a star because it is more trouble to take off than the rest of Tarte's waterproof eye makeup and the full size has another annoying cover to fumble with. I would buy this over the non-waterproof kind any day. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I tried the non waterproof version and was let down... but when I tried this It was everything it was supposed to be: a push-up bra for your lashes- a 4-in-1 lengthening, curling, volumizing and conditioning! it made my skimpy lashes stand out much more and while curling them I noticed they looked significantly longer. I've had this mascara for a year but didn't really use much until recently. I do have my reservations about waterproof properties of this mascara because it does bleed a little bit . What I love is that it does make your lashes stiff enough that it stays somewhat lifted. I am an Asian woman with very stiff lashes which won't stay up even after curling and curling and multiple applications of mascara, it only stays put for few hours. This one does pretty good, plus knowing it is more NATURAL than other cosmetic companies' make me feel good as I have very sensitive skin & body system and am very careful what goes on to my body as it reacts quite sensitively to chemicals and stuff... this is by far the best mascara I have ever used in regard to enhancement of lashes! my lashes look fuller and longer and do not flake or smudge halfway through my day. WOW! This is one truly waterproof mascara that does not clump, flake, or rub off! I can sleep in this and have near-perfect lashes the next morning. One con is the consistency is slightly tacky when dried. Your eyelashes might stick to each other or get things stuck to them more easily, cat hairs, in my case... but you don't notice it unless either of those happens. I don't use it every day because, like a previous reviewer said, it doesn't come off that easily. On the plus side, it holds up for dance performances, all-night soirees, sad movies (you might get a few flakes, but they come off easily), and days at the beach, not to mention days when I don't feel like carrying an umbrella in Seattle. ;) Also, it stays on your lashes, not on your skin. Mistakes are easy to fix when you let it dry on your skin and then gently pick it off. It also gives volume and length and does not sting your eyes or smell like chemicals. I'll definitely be buying this again! Would you buy this product again? Yes

I searched high and low for a (waterproof) mascara that stays put AND keeps lashes CURLED. THIS ONE REALLY WORKS!!! Most mascaras, especially of the non-waterproof variety, will absolutely pull the curl OUT of (mechanically) curled lashes... this practically seals it in. Be sure to use a little piece of wax paper to run the brush through to get any excess mascara off the wand before application - this will ensure an even (non-clumpy) coat. Any mascara you pull off the wand onto the wax paper can be re-deposited back into the tube, thus eliminating waste!

This is, hands DOWN, the best mascara on Earth! I'm 40 years old and have been through my share of cosmetics. No mascara I've ever tried comes close. It gives you movie star lashes that NEVER smear (no raccoon eyes even if you wear moisturizing makeup...and not even when you sweat). I mean, you can go swimming with this stuff and come up with beautiful lashes! It's not easy to get off with just soap - you have to use eye makeup remover (something oil based) and rub a little. But, that's the whole point of a waterproof mascara. I only noticed two negatives:
1. It's a little clumpy going on. But this is easy to overcome by wiping excess mascara off the applicator before applying, and using a lash comb.
2. It tends to dry up before you finish the product in the tube. So you end up throwing some of it out. A tube (used daily) lasts me about 6 weeks before becoming a bit dried up. You can still get more use out of it...it just doesn't go on as smoothly.
Bottom line - it's worth every penny. Would you buy this product again? Yes
