I have this lip luster in FRISKY - It is a great everyday pink, and I am really surprised how many times I have reached for it; it is THAT great a color. The only thing is that this does not have much staining/staying power, so reapplication throughout the day is a must. It is very hydrating, and coming from a person with such dry lips, that is BIG deal. Would you buy this product again? Yes

Recently acquired this in "Adored" & it is quite a lovely shade of pink. It does not stain or tint the lips anymore than the average lipstick would/does. Definitely does not pigment the skin like a lip staining marker but with that said, the color is still awfully pretty and does not dry out the lips like most lipsticks do. Definitely worth a try if you're at all into lipsticks or colored balms. Cannot wait to try this in other colors. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I LOVE "Glisten" and use it over a lip stain (Revlon's Just Bitten in "Dawn" is my fav so far). I'm 56 yrs old and have finally found a way to have color but avoid feathering (by using the stain) and using "Glisten" over the top throughout the day makes my heart sing (the gloss that comes with Just Bitten is awful). (Even at my age, I do not feel there is any offensive "glitter" as in other comments above- maybe it just goes with my coloring somehow?).

I have this product in Frisky, Adored, and Fever. The colors are gorgeous and they feel great against your lips. They go on pretty light, so don't shy away from the bolder colors. I am very fair skinned and even the Fever isn't too much for me. However, I find that I have to re-apply them pretty frequently because the color does not last long. Would you buy this product again? I received this as part of a QVC set in "SWEET" which I see is not offered here-too bad. The color is a shimmery pink with the "peppermint feel" that these lipsurgence are known for. Even though I'm older (I hate saying that :) The shimmery/glittery look only enhances my lips & I'm greatful. I love all of the lipsurgence collections & own other colors in the other variations as well. I have this product in glisten, which is a really beautiful color and is rather moisturizing (but still not anywhere near close to a replacement for lip balm unfortunately, which my lips still crave after I wear this product for long periods of time). The consistency is similar to lipstick but not heavy. I have mixed feelings about the sparkle or luster. It makes me feel like a pre-teen and I also have a lot of other tarte makeup with shimmer, so to lessen the effect I usually put gloss on top.
Also, a few people have made comments on the packaging, saying it looks like something a kid would use or a crayon. I don't really mind the packaging and haven't had any real problems with it, but it does kind of look a little childish. However, I like the fact that you can twist the product up and down out of the tube and unlike lipstick, which breaks a lot easier, it seems to be more protected.
I got this in a kit and I don't think I would buy it on its own. For one it's too expensive and while it's a nice replacement to lipstick (as I'm not a big lipstick fan), I just don't love the shimmer. If a kit offered a lip tint, I'd prefer the regular or the matte to the luster. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I love the texture & color of Pouty, and it is moisturizing, but after an hour or so the glitter in the pigment that gives it the high shine migrates all around my mouth. Must use a nude lip liner with this, and even then there is still some glitter-bleed. I need to try one of the other tints without the high shine to see if that's better... The color is amazing though; my whole face comes to life! Would you buy this product again? Yes

I just received my third installment of the tarte tsv kit from qvc that included this product. It came with the color obsessed. I am so in love with it. It is the perfect rosey mauve. So pretty. I really really want this color to become part of the regular line up, as well as sweet which I also love. I cannot stand when you get a kit, fall in love with the color, but cannot use it because you cannot buy another separately or at all (if the kit is not available). You use it very sparingly because you never want to run out. Well that is how I feel about obsessed. I never want to run out of it. It is that good. I think a mauve is missing from tartes lip colors. I got one in a set- and the color was Pouty. At first, I applied it like a normal lipstick, but it is so pigmented, that it was a super bright berry shade- -almost too much color for me personally. But I noticed how moisturizing it was for my lips [when they were dried, they definitely were re-hydrated!] So the trick for me was applying a little first, then building up the color if need be. Overall, this definitely leaves your lips moisturized and if you apply a lot of color, it eventually fades/wears off [which is okay for me]. I am looking into buying more pinky shades right now. =] I love Tarte!! Would you buy this product again? Yes

I have these in "flashy," "dazzled," and "glitzy" from the holiday set, and I absolutely love them. They are a bit on the sparkly side, so they may not be for those who are looking for a very subtle look. However, the colors are very buildable, wearable, and pretty. I think the sparkles are just right--definitely not chunky or obnoxious. The formula is moisturizing, and the minty flavor is wonderful. I have sensitive lips, and these don't irritate them at all. I had to write a review because I love the tarte lip surgence tints and lusters SOOOO much!!! I became hooked this holiday season after I purchased your five piece holiday gift set. I just purchased the color Fever and I have to say that it is the MOST gorgeous lip color ever! I have always wanted to try a red lip color, but didn't want it to look too over the top. Like me, I think a lot of people are afraid to try a red lip. This red is subtle enough for day and dressy for night, with very buildable color. I feel that it is a universally flattering red shade and would look great on a variety of skin tones. For reference, I have light-medium skin, light brown hair and green eyes. I bought Pouty at the same time as the Lively matte tint and between the two of them, I like this one for everyday. It's very sheer--I just dab it on for color. I don't really try to draw it on perfectly like I do with the matte tint.
The only thing is that I wish it had more staying power. I wear this by itself so if I decide to wear it in the morning, I know I have to carry it around with me so I can re-apply after eating or whatever. I apply chapstick all day long so it doesn't bug me to re-apply. I would definitely try more colors. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I wasn't planning on trying the Luster because of the glitter, but I got it as part of a set. I loved it! It stayed on for hours and the glitter wasn't super obvious. It felt as moisturizing as a balm but it took very little of the product to cover my lips (so a great value since it will last). I will probably try some of the other colors as well. Fever is the one I have after my daughter received Pouty which she loves and both colors are excellent shades on most complexions depending on how lighter or deeper the colors are layered! Fever is the most gorgeous red color and I never wear it (except only one ie tarte lip balm shade in saturday which is a pretty red shade)not a fan of red color normally! It has tiny red shimmer that is beautiful on lips but not too sparkly or glittery and similar effect in its own way with the berry shade pouty. Getting couple of New Set of 5 Lip Service Lipsurgence sets as they are great value and wish tarte brings more sets like that with new colors like dark neutrals etc! Dark colors are the best in lusters because can be layered to desired color on every complexion but the lighter colors like buff, glisten, adored & frisky are just too glittery and when the color wears off it is too bright & leaves sparkles all over which is gross n clownish IMHO! This lip color is just perfect for my work setting. I work in an operating room and have to wear a mask most of the day and just hated how dried out my lips where and shrivled looking they were at the end of my day. I bought the buff at Ulta thinking I could use it in a professional workplace. Juuust a litttle bit too shiny for that. Otherwise it works great on dates or just out on the town. I have this in "sweet". I got it on QVC.com in a tarte pack. This is a pretty lipstain/gloss. I love the color: its a very pale pink and just leaves enough color on my lips. Not excellent for work though as the glitter seems to make it all over the place and I can do without the glitter all over my face. I like to have some shimmer in my lip procuct, so these are perfect for me. To make the color last longer, I first line my lips with the tip of the product, then fill in. I love it, when I'm going out for a date, but I don't like it for daily wear, because of the excessive glitter and shimmer! Even after the color fades away (which happens relatively quickly), the glitter remains. I tend to fidget, so my glitter will migrate from my lips to all over the face, on my arms, and anywhere else that I touch. Not a fan of glitter chaos.
On the other hand, the colors are beautiful especially right after you apply. For darker complexion, the lighter shades leave somewhat of a barbie-esq look. I love the achiote and sweet shades that I purchased in kits. The product does not dry out my lips, but I become somewhat obsessive about reapplication when the colors fade. I have this in Pouty and Sweet, which came with a TSV from QVC. I have a ton of lip products so a product has to be special to make it to in-the-purse status and this got there immediately. Pouty is a berry pink with shimmer and Sweet is a peachy pink with golden glitter. Pouty is pretty pigmented so I don't use it daily but I love Sweet for days when I want a pretty peachy lip look. They glide on smoothly and are hydrating. I like the peppermint smell and they are cooling when you put them on. They are somewhere between a gloss and a tint, and I like the formula and that fact that these are not sticky but smooth feeling. I love that they are color coded so it's easy to see what color you're reaching for. Now I want to check out the matte stains! Would you buy this product again? Yes

I have submitted many reviews on this product. I love it. This particular formula is balmy like the original, but I think the shimmer holds it on a bit longer...but not as long as the matte which is not balmy like the luster or original. I personally love the peppermint scent and taste. I have never been a fan of fruity lip products, just tastes and smells strange to me. This has a nice fresh taste to it. Big bonus if you are on a dinner date. There are two things I do not like about this product. The one thing I do not like is the size. Huge package for it to be only almost half full. I thought tarte was green? How is wasting that much space green? I do not get it. The other thing I do not like about it, not a big deal, is that the tip wears depending on your application methods. I typically apply head on. That tends to really create a dull tip. I started applying by keeping my lips together. Putting the tip in between my lips and going across and up from the center of the lip product. I rarely need to fill in my lip lines with that method and it actually 'developed' a new tip after several applications. L!pst!ck Qu33n makes a sharpener for gloss sticks that fits perfectly, if you want to sharpen but do not know what fits. It is a really big sharpener and it works better than any other I have tried for this product. Anyway, my reason for writing another review is that I forgot to say how happy I am with the packaging. I think a lot of people overlook packaging, including me. I just love that the packaging is colored. I love tarte, but I have other products. I find myself always reaching for tarte in the morning because it is easy. I do not have to hunt and read fifty different products to find a specific color. Who has time in the morning before work? Not me. Thank you for the colored packaging. It makes everything easy to find. I am going to be a tarte customer for a very long time if the quality and smart packaging continues. This lip stain is nice. It is rich in color and moisturizing. It has ok staying power, but if you eat or drink anything it comes right off. It is something I will continue to purchase. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I really like the formula of these and the colors are beautiful. I bought the color glisten and its a nice shimmery peach color. the only problem with these are that they have some chunky glitter in them. I dont really like glittery lip products so i probably wouldnt repurchase these. if you dont mind glitter lip products you will probably really enjoy these. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I got this in 'glisten' and it is the prettiest peachy golden color on me! I have olive skin and green eyes, and this is my favorite 'luster'. I don't like glosses because I can't stand when my lips feel sticky, or my hair gets stuck in my gloss. Gross. This product feels amazing on the lips! After waiting a long time, too long, I was at Sephora last weekend & tested out LipSurgence. I was amazed at how lovely the colors look on my lips, not as dark as in the tube. A nice, lasting, moisturizing lip stain that stays put. I got Frisky & Buff, both beautiful colors that have a nice, minty taste when you apply them. I'm done with lipstick, my lips are so moist its incredible! These look as if they will last a long time as well, so worth the money!! I'll definitely be back for more colors. I have the "sweet" color, in the Tarte QVC "Glow Your Way to Gorgeous" collection (available now!). I love how smooth it glides on and has just the right amount of shimmer. It's very soft and moisturizing. The sparkles don't feel crunchy at all. So easy to apply, just like coloring in my lips with a crayon. The color is awesome. A sort of dark rose pink with a gold backdrop. It looks great on my light complexion, hair, and eyes; and my daughter's dark complexion, hair and eyes. I'm sure it's a very universal shade. Just purchased this in Buff and absolutely love love love it! It glides on so smoothly, has just a little bit of shiny luster to it, makes my lips feel super moist, and has a light minty tingle! I tried on about 10-12 different shades of the luster and mattes, and they all looked fabulous! I recommend everyone go spend some time at a Sephora or similar and just play with these colors. I've read some reviews saying these lip lusters have too much glitter in them but I don't agree. There is just enough to make my lips look and feel luscious. These Tarte lip lusters are all I wear. I bought this shade in Pouty, which I love! I'm going to definitely get more colors! This goes on very smoothly, doesn't feel heavy or sticky, gives nice color, decent lasting power... my only gripe and the only reason I gave it 4 stars, is because this bleeds over your lip line terribly. I just use a lipliner along my lip line then fill in with this, and its perfectly fine though. I don't have to keep applying it through the day, it lasts pretty long and looks beautiful! I love a smokey eye and was looking for an alternative for my nude lipstick. Although Buff looked gorgeous on my wrist, it was much too sheer and didn't show up at all on my pigmented lips. If I was looking for a truly natural look, this would have been it because it left my lips beautifully glossy.
Although it wasn't pigmented enough for me, it felt amazing - it was moisturizing and just glided across my lips.
I will add there was definitely glitter, very similar to Tarte's Rise & Shine nude gloss. It's not overly chunky glitter - just added some glamour to my look. I find that it works well over my nude lipstick. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I have this product in Pouty. I love the color of this, it is a very wearable color on my lips for anytime. It does make my lips feel moisturized when I first put it on, it left a little stain on my lips, so I just added a clear lip balm on top, and my lips looked great all day. The only thing I didn't like about this product was the glitter in in it, I think I will stick to the natural or maybe even the matte ones next time. I love these. I was a bit afraid after reading some reviews elsewhere, but there is just a hint of a very natural looking shimmer in them. My lips always feel better at the end of the day when I wear these, than they did when I woke in the morning after not using for a day. I do have to reapply often, but I find I love the feel that I want to anyway. I got the pouty which is described as being berry, but on me it was bright pink. I am fair, wear the fairest tarte foundation, with rather pink lips. I like the color. These are sheer so even if you get a color that you may not normally look good in, somehow it magically works in these. Plus, if you are darker skin, you can layer for more saturation. They are perfect, my docking of half a star is due to the color not being what is described. Love it and will wear it though. Would you buy this product again? Yes

So I already had the achiote color from QVC and loved it but I really wanted "BUFF" so I decided to treat myself for my birthday.. I LOVE this shade!! It's very neutral and not too dark.. I am fair skinned with blue eyes and blonde hair. I think it looks nice with a smoky eye :) I agree with some of the other reviews that there is a hint of glitter/shimmer in it.. I have always LOVED my 'enchanted' from the other Lipsurgence line, and I bought the luster version in 'glisten' and it was perfect! Enchanted is a beautiful color but I have to tone it down because my office environment is one that bright lips are kind of a showy look, so the 'glisten' is just beautiful without being too much for this part of my day. Now, the product itself......I LOVE this because it isn't sticky, it isn't dry, it doesn't leave a taste in my mouth, it feels oh so comorting to my lips but they don't get 'addicted' to it like a chapstick or something. If I had the financial ability I'd buy every single color of this today, but I'll just have to settle for buying a few new colors per year so I can play with it. I wear nothing else on my lips now. I don't mind reapplying it through the day, but it does a good job hanging around, it's a great product overall. Would you buy this product again? Yes
Love - simply put. Get them in every color because they will all work for you. The nudes/lighter colors are fabulous for the "low key" days. The moisture in them feels wonderful - no drying - no cracking. I reapply more than I have to just because it feels so good. Last longer than a lip gloss and NOT STICKY! Wear over lipstick/stain or alone.

I currently have 3 colors: achiote (got it from a set I bought at QVC), fever and frisky. I can't believe how much I like this product. My lips look great in all the colors I got. It is not too shimmery and can be used all day. I no longer need to use lip balm before hand as this liplusters keep my lips pretty mousturized all day and they last a long time. I have other lip products from tarte but since I got these it is all I've been using. It has become my favorite, especially Fever. My next one will be Buff. I just received my first lip luster -- and I BELIEVE the 6000% claim regarding moisture. I am 64 years old, and after using this product ony a couple of days, my lips feel like they did when I was 12. I purchased the Achiote color on QVC, but have also ordered two others that haven't arrived now. I can't say enough for the color and the FORMULA. Also, I put it on at 6 this morning, and at noon, when I left the office for lunch, it was still moist and had color. That's just amazing for a moist lip color -- usually, they slide right off or go into the lines around my mouth. It's the best lip product I've used in 50 years of wearing lip colors.
