i love this product. the colors are all amazing on my fair skin. i have tried almost all of them!! as you apply more throughout the day the shade just gets prettier and prettier. it feels awesome and has staying power. my only complaint is the caps, they ALWAYS seem to crack/spilt and i end up with tape on the ends!!

These are pretty awesome! I love how they make my lips feel so smooth and moisturized. I also like that I can use them on days when I'm lazy with my makeup too because they are very sheer and they give a light tint to it. The only downside is the mint smell is too strong for me.

Just got the chance to try out the color "enchanted" & I have to say...it's awesome! It may seem more dark/rose like in pictures/descriptions but it is actually a very nice dark red/fuschia color. It looks wonderful on me (I'm quite fair skinned) & for that, I have a feeling it'll look great on just about anyone. Cannot wait to try more of their colors. I am taking off on star because it doesn't really stain my lips & the price is still quite steep.

I love these lip tints, the great part of it is that you dont even need a mirror to put these on. They are smooth and you can build up the color if need be. My new favorites have been perky and swank. I have about 6 of them now. I like the tints more than the lusters because for me, when the lusters wear off it just looks like glitter on my lips...Regardless, I love tarte as a brand and will be expanding my collection of these great lip tints.

I got a deluxe sample in one of the kits and I love it! It's a very natural rosy-pink-berry color. My lips are quite pigmented so I was happy to see this color tint my lips nicely! I love how it doesn't dry out my lips at all and I love the minty scent it has! Definitely worth a try!

I recently ordered the shade enchanted and must say I think the matte colors are a lot better. For me these seem to be a lot more sheer but i still love the way it feels on my lips and ill most likely try a couple more colors to see if it was just enchanted that was that way.

The Amused color does not work well for me. I got this in a special kit from Ulta and I ended up giving this to my sister. She loves it but the color is a little too bright for my fair/pinky skin. I also have the color Joy and I love it! It is so natural but beautiful. These are definitely worth the money in my opinion!

I really need to purchase this in more colors, if not all. I love a nice, natural, sheer lipcolor, and this really delivers. If you like a little more color payoff, it's buildable, so it will suit you as well. It has a faint pepperminty taste and feel, so it's refreshing, almost like a lip balm, gloss, and stick all in one. I will definitely be purchasing this in more colors, as well as in the lusters.

I have this in "Enchanted". it's not a rose as described, but rather, a bright pink almost fuschia pink. It's moisturizing without being glossy, which I like. I have very very fair skin and I like the way this looks with simply done eyes. Product wears off after a few hours, but the color stains lips for a littler longer than that. Make sure your lips are well-exfoliated before applying or else the color with look darker and uneven in the places where your lips are dry/cracking. The product should last a long time-- even the sample size.

I have this in Enchanted and Moody and both of them give long lasting color and they moisturize amazingly. You will be able to rub your lips together and it will feel smooth like you just applied lip balm, not gritty, chalky, or sticky as with other (high end) lip color. The moisture lasts a long time.

I got this as a gift and I love it! Moody looks really dark, but it's actually very wearable and build-able.

With that being said, I'm not sure if I would want to purchase this myself. I'm a Revlon lipstick kind of girl and I guess it's hard parting with $24 for tinted lip-balm/lip stain.

Honestly, I get about $15-18 dollars worth of enjoyment out of this product. But, knowing me, I'm probably going to break and buy this. I just love that Tarte products are more natural!

I just received Peaceful and applied it over Exposed (Matte lip tint), just like the video demo on the website suggested for the perfect nude lip. It really is the perfect nude, even on my plum/brown natural lips!!

While the duo looks great together, I don't think Peaceful would look as great by itself on me. It is an extremely light peach shade w/ little color payoff for me. i guess it provides the perfect amount of glossiness for the look.

I have the lip tint in Charmed. I adore and am now addicted to these lip products, however I am addicted to everything tarte. I was a Chanel and prestige brand girl, enter Maureen's miraculous line! Amazing makeup that is not only good for your skin but outperforms high-end department store brands. Maureen, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! I was introduced to tarte through their True Blood kits as I am a huge fan of the show and was also my first order, the entire TB kit, had to get my hands on it. I fell in love with the cheek stains and lip stain and so the slow phaseout of my other high end chemical laden brands to a high end all natural brand that is wonderful for my skin. Every time I use my tarte products I am so excited to know that I am doing my skin a huge favor without falling behind trends. I got Enchancted (which is my first lip stain from tarte) for Christmas, it's so smooth when you put it on and it's the perfect color for just going out for the day and could even work for going out at night! Moisturizing, tinted, wonderful scent, and good for my lips? Yes, please!

I have porcelain skin with pink and yellow undertones. I cannot say enough about the color Enchanted! Whenever I wear it, it looks like I have that natural rosy lipped look. It is subtle and adds perfect color. If you have my skin tone, get that color now! It is beyond beautiful. People ask me if I'm wearing any lip color because they can't quite tell. I love that. ;^) If they ever stop making that shade, it will be a bad day! Love it!

These have a really interesting texture. Before this, I had never used a lip care product with any colour. So to me, this is like lipstick. This is a nice product in terms of color and application, but I find it fades a bit fast from my lips. It also for some reason dries my lips out a bit so I have to use a balm with it. The shade selection is really nice though and these are easy to apply on the go. I love that they don't need to be sharpened!

I really do regret not trying these sooner, but the thought of any kind of mint (especially right under my nose) smell kept me from getting too excited. Besides, I was quite happy with my various other TARTE lip products. However, all I was hearing was how wonderful this stuff was and I found myself wondering just what I was missing out on. Finally, I decided to give them a try thinking I could return them if they were just too terrible.

WOW...so creamy, smooth, silky, soft, easy, and moisturizing. My lips felt and looked so good I totally forgot all about that little mint problem I had LOL. Actually, I didn't really even notice mint in smell or flavour. There may have been just a few seconds of a faint smell of mint, but it was very light, mild, and did not last more than a few seconds.
I wouldn't change a thing about them. They are purrfect in every way.

The only problem is now I want all of the colours.

I have this in Enchanted, which looks perfect with the Cheek Stain in Flush. It's rich in both color and moisture, with no bleeding or greasy feeling. It's easy to apply straight from the tube or with a lip brush. This is more opaque than most glosses I've used but is more sheer than most of my lipsticks. It's an overall great formula and I can't wait to try the other shades.

I love these! They're so easy to wear and re-apply. They feel great on my lips and come in cute colors. This formula is glossy but doesn't appear transparent, which I hate in a lot of glossy products. So far I have Lust, a glossy pinkish red and Moody, a glossy berry/wine. I will definitely be getting more. They don't really stain the lips, so the name is a bit misleading, but a great lip pencil nonetheless. I know lip pencils are all the rage right now, but these are probably my favorites.

I love the lip tints! it's a matte stain that doesn't wipe off like a gloss but is a pop of color that stays true and is blendable with anything from a gloss to a lip powder. They are compact for on the go and they are all gorgeous shades to go with any facial hue. The best part is that they are healthy for your lips; you can feel over time the vitamins infused in it smoothing the surface of your lips.

Tried this on cuz I thought it was a nice color and was always curious about how Tarte Cosmetics looked like. WELL, i fell in love with it! I tried on "Amused"--a bright, pretty pink! I left the store without even seeing which one I tried on and not even 10 minutes later, I had to walk back in to see what color it was cuz I knew I was going to buy it at a later time! The color is great and I saw some reviews where people said it left your lips feeling dry---NOT AT ALL! I love this product and would glady recommend it to everyone! I'm super excited to try the other colors now! The only bad thing about stumbling upon this product is that I know I will be spending a great amount of my paychecks toward these and other Tarte products now!

I abosultely LOVE this product. The first one I bought was the True Blood color. It's a great true red. I then purchased Charmed and Joy. I'm not a huge fan of Joy. I have fair skin and the color is an orangish-peach. Definitely not a color for everyone. Charmed is more of a bubble gum pink. They feel great on my lips and I don't have to re-apply very often. I just bought the 5 piece holiday set and am excited to try all the new colors!!

I have Moody and it's a real lovely color. It's kind of like a big crayon-like chapstick with moderate staying power. It's hydrating and very comfortable. There's nothing more terrible than cloyingly sticky lip product but this just glides on. If I had a million dollars, I would get this in every color!

The only downside to this product is that it's a little pricey. But totally worth it for me!

These lip pencils (as well as blushes and their eyeliner) might be my most favorite products from Tarte. I have them in 2 colors:
Moody is a very deep red color and can be as light and stubble or as dramatic as you want. I love it for the winter because it gives your lips perfect, reddish frost bitten, look. I just apply it and then rub it with my finger to make it lighter :) I also apply lip balm to protect lips from cold and tataaa!! Perfect winter lips.

My other color is Charmed that I have been wearing all summer and that is almost gone :( This is a perfect bubblegum pink and so, so flirty on your lips ; ) My husband loves when I wear it haha...

I personally apply some lip balm after these simply because I want all the color and moisture I can get.

I own this lipstain in Moody. It's not my favorite color because it's darker than I like, but it would make a fantastic dark red lip. Picked this up at Sephora and thought it was a LOT of money for a lip stain. But it will last forever; I love the color; it feels luscious going on; and it doesn't dry my lips out. I wouldn't classify it as a stain, and sometimes use it over the CoverGirl stains I have (that dry my lips out like crazy). So if you're o.k. with re-applying occasionally, you'll like this!

These chubby pencils are really great for days when you cannot spare a minute to check your lips out, which has become every day for me! i have this in moody which is a great berry color! These have a great consistency and feel like balm! I must say i'm not a fan of this color right when I apply it to my lips, it looks a little bit streaky so I make sure to rub my lips together. It looks really natural and gorgeous when its blended into your lips! I cannot tell you how radiant and flawless my lips look when I wear this. My lips are usually dry so this helps them out. These wear off really naturally so you don't have to worry about looking silly when they start wearing off. I really want a lighter color! I love my Moody pencil but I need something for smokey eyes.

I bought the Enchanted color. It's gel based, so it stains the lip and lasts a bit longer than creamy lip colors, in my opinion. The color is a gorgeous bright reddish rose color, that looks natural and really stands out. I'd wear it with more natural makeup on the rest of my face because it definitely takes over and is the star of the show! I will continue to buy this color. Love it!

I don't know how to describe how much I love this product!! I probably have most of the colors. You put it on and it glides smoothly and easily. It reminds me of when I was a little kid with those play lipsticks from the Barbie brand because the packaging is so fun but so worth your money. I get very yellow during winter and very tanned during the summer because of my Asian ethnicity, but for some reason even the baby pinks of colors adjusts to my skin. You should try it! I'm trying to get the Joy color. Four stars only because I want Tarte to increase the size of the pencils!!

First of all I love tarte, I really like the idea of natural ingredients that have benefits for your skin. Now on to the Lip Surgence.. I own amused and lust. My favorite color is lust because I already have red lips and this is a really nice glossy red that makes it a nice more subtle bold and evens out the tone of my lips. It's super hydrating, wish it lasts longer though so I don't have to apply as much. The added ingredient of mint adds a nice light tingle and a soothing feeling, it truely is a comfortable wear. Be careful not to drop because it will break off, I lost 35% of my product (amused). Now the thing I'm very sure of is it's not worth $24. I think that's pretty expensive considering the amount of product they give you (which isn't too much) and the overall wear time. I do wish their packaging was better, I feel like it should be a lot smaller because it gives you the illusion your getting a lot of product in reality your really not and doesn't stay very well in your jean pocket because of the size. I do like the product, but I'll only buy probably again is when Tarte has another 40% off sale because then the price seems reasonable to me.

I bought this in Moody color. It is very natural and feels nice when applied. However, in terms of the 'last for hours' expectation most of us have with a lipstain it does not do that. I would say it lasts 1-2 at most, which is why I give only 3 stars. I would go for the lipstain that Tarte offers with the gloss if you are looking for a more permanent application. As a side note, this color is pretty dark, more of a dramatic look than natural, which I like when I am going out for a night on the town versus running errands. I also would wear it to work with a himmer gloss over...very flattering!

I totally dig this product. The sheer color and the not too glossy finish is appropriate for anytime wear. I have amused, which is a scary magenta color. Don't smudge it on hard, or else, you will get scary magenta lips. If you apply lightly, it provides a nice pop of color to carry you through the day. Carry this around, because you will need some reapplications during the day.

I am addicted to these! Not only are they super moisturizing but the color payoff is amazing, and they last on my lips for a long time. They glide on smoothly and don't feel sticky at all. I love that these feel light on my lips, like a balm, but have the color payoff of a lipstick and the shine of a gloss. I have the tint in Moody, and i really love it. I don't know what another reviewer was talking about, not having staying power, this tint stays on for HOURS! I really love the shape of the lip tint, it is able to be applied very precisely, which i really love. The tint is like a satin finish, not matte but not shiny, and i love the peppermint flavor. I love that it never ends up on my teeth, and the colors are really nice. They don't kiss off, they are really super! Start off with one and you will want more!!!

$24 may be a lot for a lip product, but this lasts a long time, and look for when tarte offers a discount, and get some then! I have bought duo's (on tarte.com) and even trio's (at Ulta) for a good price, which comes out to about $18 each or the trio came out to like $10.70 each.

I bought a three peice set from Ulta. I normally gravitate toward more browns and peaches, but as it turns out, I really like the Moody color. It goes on really dark, but once my lips absorbed the color, it turned to a natural just bitten look. Envy was a nice nude color on me, and kind of made my lips made bigger. The Pouty color is one that I will have to play with, alone it is too pink for my yellow toned tan complexion. I may need to layer it with another color.

Overall, I love them! It's great to find a product that you think you wont like, and than it totally suprises you!

They also have a nice peppermint scent!

I have this in amused and I LOVE it! Amused is a cool toned hot pink that has great pigment and lasts all day. It is bright yet not harsh and good for day time if you know what I mean. The fact that it is glossy makes it easily wearable as oppose to a bright matte lip. It lasted about 6 hours and left a nice stain behind that was very even. My 3 year old is obsessed with this color and she often snatches it from me and refuses to give it back! The fact that it is paraben free makes me feel ok about her using it when she wants to wear mommy's make-up ;)

I bought this in Hope....i loved the color.

HOWEVER,

This is the hardest thing to open in the world. It's like the cap is suctioned onto the tube! And if you do eventually get it open, the tip of the pen breaks off! I couldn't get mine open yesterday, so my brother tried...he couldn't open it either. So, he grabbed the bottom of the pen and I grabbed the cap...not only did it not open, it BROKE in half. I used it MAYBE 4 times. Worst money I ever spent. I will NEVER buy again!

i got this in "joy" because orangish colors always look good on my skin tone. i have very pale skin, green eyes, and freckles. it goes on smooth and feels moisturizing for long periods of time. the minty hint is nice. the problem is the color goes on great, but then after about an hour, it completely changes color. it goes on orangish then turns a pale fushia after about an hour. then when i reapply, it's too bright.

I love this liptint!!!! I'm using the Moody color and enjoy the color it gives, I use it with the Flush blush. I use the sides of the liptint when I apply it, so that I can maintain the sharp point. I only use the sharp point if I need to fix the edge. It has a nice translucence with beautiful color pay off, and very moisturizing. I wish I could buy more of them, but my lips have too much color in them.

I always hated lipstick, so I've really embraced the lipstain trend and I've tried many different kinds. So far, this one has been by far the best. The color pigmentation is beautiful! For my fair skin, "charmed" is a lovely pink and "lust" is a very classic red. So many lipstains (especially the drugstore ones) dry out my lips and are impossible to apply evenly. But this one keeps my lips nice and soft and applies smoothly and evenly. And I've had it last as long as four hours!
It's important to note, although this is a fantastic product, it's not quite as miraculous as the description leads one to believe. Yes, it lasts a long time, but it still doesn't survive eating and drinking. It doesn't dry out lips, but it's not as moisturizing as a balm. And it also doesn't give a glossy finish--I usually end up putting clear gloss over it. Most of all, since I love this product so much, I really wish they would come out with a wider color selection!

My Favorite The Best Lip Stain / Gloss of all time! Glides so smooth n silky on lips, very few applications through out the day depending on individual need! I purchased the ENCHANTED shade and it's a great color for brunettes, but not for the color faint of heart. Great if you want to make your lips POP. It's a pretty blushy, pink color and is easily layered for a deeper shade. The stick is very moisturizing, but gets a little messy around the edges of the lips so I would advise pairing with a liner.

I really love these lip tints so much. Especially the color Joy -- it's such a good color for a natural look. But I feel like for the price, they don't give much of the product. The stick size is pretty long, but if you twist it to see how much product is actually in it, it is only about 1/4th of the stick. I was kind of shocked when I came home from buying it to see how little product they actually give.

The first thing I do whenever I get a new lipstick/chapstick is see how much product they actually give by twisting the bottom. When I twisted the bottom of the tarte stains, I was surprised at how small the product actually is.

I mean I LOVE it but it is pretty expensive for a lip tint. I just feel like it will last a month at most and it's pricey. I think they should give more product. The stick is long but its only filled with the tint about 1/4th of its size, which isn't much at all...

I just applied it to my bottom lip, and it looked the same as the top, just shiney. I could tell no difference or see any color at all. I bought this in Charmed and I love the color. it's perfect for summer. I have light/medium skin. The color reminds me of hawaii, a bright pink. Looks great with Buxom's Kanani lip gloss for a power punch of color, or with Tarte's "Heavenly" color lip gloss from the vitamin lip gloss trio (under Value Sets section on this site) for a softer hued pink. It smells awesome and tastes great and I love the way it glides onto my lips, so easy to apply compared to traditionally shaped lip glosses. The color lasts for a while but not any longer than any other lip stick/color I have, unless I'm using a lip stain, which will definitely last longer than this.

I have this product in Moody. It is a deep purpley berry color. It it a great color to wear going out. It does make my lips feel moisturized when I first put it on, but the moisture doesn't last as long as the color. A little stain was left on my lips, so I just added a clear lip balm on top, and my lips looked great. I like this product better than the luster ones, as those have actual pieces of glitter in them.

This product worked great in moisturizing my lips. The color was long lasting and so was the moisture. My only dislike is that I bought this in the color charmed thinking it would be more sheer but it was quite pigmented. It's more of a Barbie pink. I still think it's a great product and I simply neutralize the pink with a little lip gloss :)

These lip stains are amazing. They moisturize my lips way more than any chapstick will ever do, plus it adds a pretty tint to it. I love the slight smell of the peppermint as it glides through my lips as well. Tarte offers a variety of shades and I can't wait to try others. (:

I started using Tarte products about three weeks ago, maybe a month. I have been wanting to review them all because I love them. Well I just got the lip tint in charmed and had to get on here to review it. I LOOOOOOVE it!! Not only is this the pink color I have been forever looking for, it stayed on for a few hours and it DID leave a tint after the initial shine wore off. I didn't need to put more on, I just put on a clear Burts Bees lip balm and the color was there with a bit of shine. Amazing! I will be needing more colors, and as for the Charmed, well that will be what I am wearing on my wedding day, along with their clay blush in Dollface. Thank you Tarte! I want to add that I did not want to buy this for a long time because I do not spend a lot of money on lip products... it IS worth the price. I feel like this will last me a while.

I got peaceful a while back when I bought my first Tarte kit "Maureen's Favorites". It was my first experience with a high end brand and to this day, my very favorite. Peaceful became my favorite nude, to the point I hit pan twice and just repurchased it!
It is so smooth and moisturizing I can't get over it! Every time I wear it I get so many complements and people get even more amazed when I pull out that crayon-like package! I addicted 3 friends of mine to it, one of them who had a lot of problems with cracked dry lips and who today owns 3 of these (one that she stole from me =P). Her lips were cured from dryness thanks to Tarte.
Peaceful, envy and exposed are constants in my purse for over an year and now they are gonna have to compete with 5 extra shades I got from Tarte last week. If you haven't tried it, what are you waiting for???

These are amazing. They really moisturize your lips. You do have to reapply fairly often, but they feel so good on your lips that you want to anyway. The colors are all very sheer, so very forgiving. They can also be easily layered. I wear fair in tarte foundations and moody looks more red than berry on my lips, thus the half star dock. The sheerness makes me think that just about any color would work on me. Love it, will buy a lighter color next time but glad I have this one on hand for nights I am looking for something extra.

Within the past year I've been trying to find organic/ natural cosmetics that are user friendly, readily available, reasonably priced, and perform well. A tall order for sure, but the Lipsurgence in 'Lust' has proven itself to be all of the above! It's a nice shade of red, not over the top, even with reapplication. Keeps lips soft and supple, too, which is great here in the cold, dry Maine winter air!

I have tried almost all of the colors and my favorite is Charmed. Charmed looks the best with my fair skin with pink undertones. I did like Moody and Enchanted with my skin but they are dark/bold on my medium pigmented lips. Joy was a bright coral pink on me. I think the darker shades (Moody, Enchanted, and Joy) stain the lips better than Charmed after the gloss wears off.

I bought this lip stain as part of a gift set. The set came with "Amused" and it is one bright, dramatic shade of pink. I was surprised at how nice it looks once I put it on. I have very dry lips, so I was very happy to find how moisturizing the tint is. I have found that I am unable to apply most lipsticks, stains, and glosses without it pooling at the corners of my mouth. This lip tint is so easy to apply; it goes on as easy as chapstick, and doesn't pool in the corners of my mouth. I don't mind that you have to reapply it throughout the day. I am looking forward to trying the matte version and other colors in this line.

I was really excited to see that Tarte decided to release Peaceful as a stand alone product, and not just make it available in a special set. I am admittedly a nude/natural lip color whore, mostly because with my coloring anything too bright tends to make me look like Morticia Addams. This is pretty close to perfect as far as nude lip stains go. I was initially afraid that it wouldn't show up at all, but I have found that (as with most of the Tarte lip stains) this tends to darken and become more visible a minute or two after application. Basically it goes on almost invisible but winds up as the the most perfect, natural shade. Coupled with some tinted moisturizer, black mascara, cheek stain (I like Tipsy) this is the perfect addition to your "I want to look like I'm not wearing any makeup) makeup routine.

For the record, I also own this in Joy and Enchanted. Enchanted is lovely but you have to apply it with a light touch because I find too heavy a hand causes darker color than normal (as I said it seems to darken/brighten within a couple minutes of application). Joy is a lovely complement to the Tipsy cheekstain, and so long as you don't lay it on too think, they look wonderful when worn together.

I bought these in a set of three from QVC and I LOVE how light they feel. and the color does stay on my lips all day. my only problem with them is when the moisture part of the product wares off you have to put more color on and it keeps getting brighter and bolder and, maybe it's just my undertones, but the more color on my lips the worse I look. I wish there was a 'just moisture' that was the same formula but without the pigment for when you have all the color you want but just want more of that wonderful, wonderful light feeling moisture!

This is my favorite lip color. I got "lust" because I was looking for a fun, youthful red, and it's perfect. It's also gives the perfect amount of shine; a great medium between a lipstick and a gloss. I can't wait to try out the other colors! My only critique is that it doesn't moisturize quite as well as I would expect, given the lipsurgence claims, but I also don't wear it everyday.

I love these lip stains! I have them in Amused, Moody, and Enchanted. Amused is probably my favorite even though I was afraid it might be too bright...but it is a really pretty color. They feel really nice on the lips, too. Just a note though: These are not a traditional stain, so you might have to reapply (although I think they last a long time on me). BUT these are much more moisturizing and have a more consistent and easier color application than traditional stains. I always have at least one in my purse!

I really love this lip stain. I got it in enchanted. I wasn't sure what to expect because usually lip stains are drying. However, this is the first one I have purchased that is really moisturizing. It also glides on smoothly and kind of smells sweet and minty. The only reason I deducted one star is because it didn't last as long as I would expect. The color lasted about 2-3 hours then wore off. However, I still really love this lip stain and will be purchasing more!

I bought this on a whim, as stains usually dry oddly on my lips, and if Iput gloss over a stain, it hardly lasts at all. THIS is the most amazing stain. I lasts almost as long as a stain, is glossy and moisturizing when applied and doesn't dry out your lips. I love it. I haven't tried the matte one, but I'm a bit afraid it will look dry.

But this one rocks...I bought it in Enchanted which is a fairly bright rose, but very pretty on the lips. You can wear it lightly for just a bit of color, or REALLY apply it for a darker, brighter look.

Again...great stuff...love it!

i dont know that i would actually call this product a lip "stain" you do have to re apply it often throughout the day and i find that i have to put gloss over the stain to make it look more natural. i do think that i will continue to use the product...maybe in a different color (i have charmed)...because while it doesnt stain very well it is extremely moisturizing and doesnt cause my lips to dry out like other stains and lip products i have tried in the past. it works a little better than my chapstick i believe lol. just dont expect it to last all day..or even past your first meal

I got a little tired of the Benefint Benetint lip stain bottle opening up in my purse, so i was in a pursuit for a lipstain that was easy to carry around. I don't really like the heavy feel of lipstick so love the inventions of lighter formulated lipstains. Anyhow, came across this at Sephora, bought it in Moody and really like the minty smell and the lighter feel of it on my lips. Only gave it a 3.5 because it was moisturizing when you first apply it, but the moisture seemed to wear off really quickly, although the stain stayed great! Overall, a good lipstain, a bit pricey, but that's ok since it last pretty long. I got it in Moody and just ordered one in Enchanted.

I bought enchanted & moody. I tried enchanted today and it glided on easily + filled out the lips nice & evenly without much effort. Since it's pencil type, I was afraid at first that it was going to dry the lips, but it's the reverse, it was moisturizing without having much gloss.

I have the matte lip surgence and I am impressed by those colors but they seem drying so I have to wear a balm under them. I just got the lip surgence stain today and I really like it. It goes on super smooth and feels very moisturizing. My only gripe is that the shade charmed shows on the website as light pink and even on the shade on the box is a light pink like lucky from the matte lip surgence, but it's actually more of a true pink, like hope. They also don't seem to last as long as the matte, but they are wonderful to throw in a bag because of the shape and ease.

I love Tarte's LipSurgence lip tints. They are a bit tingly, which I love, but they aren't entirely drying like other lip tints. They are glossy and great for everyday use. The pigmentation isn't too bad, wish they were a bit more pigmented, but overall a great product!

I actually have this in the color "Blissful." I thought it would look like a nude lip. It is somewhat nude but it also looked milky on my lips. It would settle incorrectly making my lips loop chapped. I really wanted to love this product but I just couldn't. Maybe in a different color..

Originally I bought this in two colors, and have just ordered a third. This is a fabulous product. "Amused" is a perfect everyday pink. "Moody" is actually quite subtle when you put on just one coat, but if you put on a second, it is striking. These lip tints are perfect--I can put them on without consulting a mirror, they feel great and the color stays quite well.

I have tried all kinds of lip stains and long-wearing lip products and was never happy with any of them.... Until now! This product is moisturizing, long lasting, and, best of all, beautiful! It is such a lovely consistency, and it feels great on my lips. The color is also really buildable. You also don't have to wear a gloss over it, because it has enough of a shine on it's own, but it's also not too glossy. I also love the fact that when it does fade, it leaves some color on my lips. I have loved every product I've ever gotten from Tarte, and this is no exception! I just got my second one in yesterday and I'm about to go use it! So excited!!!!

This product is fabulous! It's like a combination of a lip stain, lip balm, & lipstick all in one. It lasts like a lip stain, but when it does eventually fade, it fades like a lipstick, rather than a lip stain that leaves your lips looking funky. It really does an incredible job of moisturizing as well. My only complaint is there isn't more colors. Only one shade looks good on my skin tone, & that's charmed. Please, TARTE, make more colors... I'm in love with this product!

This has a better texture than any lipbalm I have ever tried. The colors are limited, but I have Charm and it is a beautiful barbie pink on me. It is also really moisturizing for a lipstain, and doesn't dry my lips out! The lasting power is pretty good too, a definite must have for me at the gym!

I love these. They're a little pricey but they last forever. This website has awesome sales anyway so I don't mind waiting for the next sale to buy another. I own Enchanted and Peaceful (from the Maureen's favorites set). I really like them both. They feel good on, aren't drying and the colors are nice. I love that I can get the perfect amount of shine from these and they are not at all sticky. No more complaints from my fiance for kissing sticky/glossy lips and I still get the color/look that I want! Win!

I love this stuff! I have it in Moody and really love this color on my lips. It is not as dark as it looks so don't be scared of it! It feels great on. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't last all day, but I can get over that!

I purchased this lip stain in "amused" a while back and honestly I've only used maybe 5 times or even less. The product does have a nice light minty scent. Before opening the product for the first time, I thought this would give my a more sheer color....BOY I WAS WRONG. This color looked like I smashed a hot-pink drag queen on my lips! That's just how loud the color was and it was very unflattering. The product also settled into the corner of my mouth and created a pale pink film which looked extremely gross. All in all I hated this lip stain and would never purchase it again.

Unlike other stains, these are moisturizing. The colors come out true. They do not stay on as long as lip marker stains, but the staying power is still quite good.

I absolutely love this product! Best stain I have found. I work at Ulta in Roseville and I am constantly recommending this product to our cutomers. It's so healthy and full of anti-oxidents so it's great for your lips. The stain stays!!!! No gooiness, no feathering, and no bleeding into the skin around your lips. Wear it alone for a more natural day look and swipe on some clear gloss for a quick night look. I recommend this to every one!

I absolutely LOVE these lip stains. They look beautiful, leave my lips feeling hydrated, and give me long lasting color. This is the second time I have purchased Moody, a color everyone else seems to be afraid of. I am very fair skinned, and Moody is perfect; it's so versatile, I can put on a little to give my lips a kiss of color, or more to achieve a bolder look. Be careful leaving these in the heat, because they will melt like crazy, but they are so awesome I still give them a 5 star rating.

I have this in two colors: Enchanted and Lust. I love both of the colors! This is the only lipstain I've found that doesn't dry out my lips but actually improves their condition. I wear this almost every single day for the way it looks and to help keep my lips soft. I let my mother try one of them (she's in her 60s) and she loves them as well! She sorta stole my enchanted one! The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is because the color doesn't last as long as I would prefer!

I have never been into wearing lipsticks and most lip stains I found were always too bright for me. I purchased this lip stain in Lust and Charmed and they are so great. They make my lips soft and add just enough color so that I don't look too pale or washed out. You can layer the color on so that you barely have any on or you have tons of color. I am really interested in trying out the new matte lip stains.

Nice and creamy and it stays where it is supposed to, I got it in the joy(peach) color, it is great. I actually put it through the pool test, I applied it before swimming and the stain was still on my lips after an hour of laps!

These are great. I own Enchanted, but I must say I think I love the Matte ones better. The color tends to stay a bit longer than the shiny ones. Still, I love the peppermint, the shininess and the color. Not unhappy with my purchase at all. Never been unhappy with ANY tarte purchase. Great stain and makes your lips so soft and supple and beautiful colors.

I purchased this lipstain at a sephora in Maryland on a whim. I wasn't planning to purchase anything but just as I was about to exit the store, the tarte eyeliners caught my eye. Once I started looking at them, a sephora worker came up to me and started telling me about tarte and told me which products were most popular, among them were the lipstains. She convinced me to try out a tested so I chose the frosty color, charmed, and I absoultely hated how it looked on me. When I told her this, she convinced me to try on enchanted and the color was so flattering that I had to buy it. It's very moisturizing. It's suits all skin tones. My sister is very pale and it's flattering on her. It looks great on me and I'm fairly tan. My friends all tried it and it looks great on everybody. After a while of wearing it, it became so natural looking that I had to get a backup. All in all, I love the product. I love the packaging and I love that it's a tarte product because I fell in love with the company.

Great product. Non-drying, lasts for at least 2 1/2 hours and leaves a slight stain behind when it fades. I really like the minty flavor, and the shade I purchased, Moody, is lovely. It's reminiscent of Black Honey.

the best lip stain that I have found, application is easy, color stays, and it provides a moisterizer of some kind that sort of tingles when u put it on. But in a good way, not my lips are burning. Just bought my third one of these.

By far my favorite tarte product!!!! I have all of the colors except moody and they all look great with my fair complexion.. I'm pretty sure they would look good on anyone! You can control how dark the color is by putting more on, but they're subtle and lovely. I like how they don't look like you're wearing a ton of make up and they are so moisturizing. I can't believe how smooth and awesome my lips feel when I put them on. My lips haven't felt dry or cracked since I got them which is how regular lipstick makes them feel after one day. I can't even pick my favorite color, they're all so fun.

Just a word of advice: Don't make the same mistake as me and leave it in a hot car, even be careful if you're going to be spending the day in the sun because they can melt. They will solidify again and you will be able to still use it, but it won't quite have the same shape.
