I ordered the sandstone as a great color for summer. I went to put it on this morning and had no problem with the roller part of the shadow. But the other end was a bit hard to put on and ended up with it all over the place. I think I'll just stick with the roller end of this shadow.

The rose gold color is very pretty but too shimmery for me as an everyday eyeshadow.

I bought the bronze and sandstone. It's easy to apply and I had no issues with the roller ball at all. I'm glad I got them, I'll be packing them for vacation...very convenient, small packaging.

Great product! I tried it out because it was on sale - I chose Gunmetal. This shadow is so beautiful and did not budge! I'll definitely order more colors.

Actually this review is a bit mixed; bought the rose gold in a store and absolutely LOVE IT!! I can't find anything similar anywhere else - such a flattering color and lasts and lasts. As other reviewers mentioned it does hurt a bit rolling the powder over my eyelid but as long as I don't press it isn't too bad. The beautiful look is well worth it. My mom got it in gunmetal and loves it, too. We are both so so SO disappointed it is being discontinued :'( However, I did order 2 online in a light purple color - both were dried out or something. It was impossible to get the cream out, but I still used the powder. It was a beautiful color and I repeat I wish tarte would continue selling them. I will chance it and order more because they are so beautiful!!

I have 'Sandstone' as a base color for my whole lid - it covers those pesky little capillary veins so well! Tip to prevent eyelid damge:pull off the roller, tap some out onto your hand, & apply with a brush! Same great look with out the pain!

I love the ingenious application of this eyeshadow/cream. The brush on the one end with the creamy shadow and the roller ball with the shimmer powder, on the other. I use the roller ball on my lids for a beautiful subtle shimmer. Then I use the brush to outline my eye. I use it as an eyeliner from the mid part of the top of the eye to the mid part under my eye to tie the look together with shimmer on the lid. I use the brush to softly highlight under my brow-bone. It looks like you just got your eye makeup done by a professional and yet it was so easy and effortless to apply. My two favorite colors are Rosegold and Quartz. They have a very soft look to them and yet they make brown eyes "pop".

I purchased the Deep Amethyst and the Moss just to have some fun eye shadows to play around with -- both are way out of my normal comfort zone. The colors are rich and I didn't have any issues with the cream portions being dry. Both sides apply easily and smoothly. You can use either the cream or the powder by itself, but when you put them together, you get a really dramatic look. It does smudge a little, so I might try it with an eye primer next time. Overall, great product!

Do not buy!!!! It is to hard to apply this. It is hard to get the powder out of the one side with the ball in it. Also, it hurts when you roll it over your eyes.

Received this product and wanted to olive it , but it was completely dried out. Not sure if it sat around for a while and that's why it's on sale...

I purchased this for my wife. She loves all of her other Tarte products but was sad to see that the cream portion had dried up. It was dry and crackly and she couldn't scoop any out. There is no return on this item so not much we can do about it. She wore the powder side yesterday and had severe irritation and had to remove it. I am scared to buy her anything else from this website.

I was excited when I got this in the mail the other day, and I had to try it right away. I love this eyeshadow. It's a silky formula and blends so good!! I got gunmetal and its a pretty metallic purplish color. You can wear it almost sheer or deepen the color up for an amazing smoky eye. I'm fair with light blue eyes and this color made my eyes stand out even more. I'm going to try the bronze next.

This is a nifty little product. I like that I have the option of using the cream or the shadow, though I do prefer them layered. I own this in bronze, which is a very pretty color (not too orange as many "bronze" colors are, which is not flattering on all skin tones). However, this bronze color is very flattering and gives a nice soft, almost smoky eye (but with a much more neutral/lighter coloring than a typical dark smoky eye). I am thinking about purchasing it in burnt bronze next (before it's gone)!

I have this product in bronze, gunmetal, and rosegold. I just stocked up, since it looks like these may be going out of stock, which is tragic, because they are amazing. Easy to use and an easy transition from work to play. I don't use the gunmetal too often... the cream side seemed to dry out pretty quickly and the powder side is a little too intense/not quite the right shade for my olive complexion. But I use the bronze, the rosegold, or a combination of the two pretty much daily, sometimes with the cream, sometimes just the loose powder alone.
