I got this as part of a gift set and was a little skeptical because other ones I've used from other companies in the past didn't make much of a difference. Wow, tarte is WAY different! I already have long lashes, so volume is what I'm after. Although tarte mascara on its own is awesome, this is a must for that extra oomph you're after especially for a night out for a more dramatic look. I can't even run my lash comb through, that's how thick they get! I use an un-used mascara wand instead. This primer does not clump either. I recommend letting this dry for at least 2 minutes before applying the mascara to reduce clumps. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I'm really impressed with this primer. I'd been using a primer from another very fine cruelty-free ( an absolute MUST for me) company, and it was good, but this is even better!
I love the small, narrow brush; that makes it easy to reach every lash. As another reviewer observed, if you overdo, it can tend to look a little heavy, after you apply mascara. But if you apply lightly, you'll get lovely, natural-looking volume and length. What I do is curl my lashes first, apply the MultiplEYE primer, then apply my mascara while the primer's still moist, then immediately comb through with a metal lash comb. This works great, especially if I concentrate the primer on the tips of my lashes. If I do this, my naturally so-so lashes look looong and "fluttery;" almost like false lashes.
MultiplEYE primer is the best primer I've found so far, and I've tried quite a few. I don't give it five stars, mainly on account of the steepish price, and the fact that it seems not to hold a curl all that well. But I have naturally straight lashes, and I can live with the price, so I'll buy this again. Would you buy this product again? Yes

This eyelash primer is awesome! I use this to get that extra boost. Whether you use Extend or LCL mascara your lashes are going to get a voluminous look to your lashes. I have used in with the STEP 1 and STEP 3 and get fantastic results. I have given some samples of this and Lights, Camera, Lashes away to friends and they love the combo. This is awesome! I have the three step system... but I use step 1 at night before bed and I use this during the day with the step 3 mascara (waterproof)... I love it! Initially I didnt like the mascara alone... but then I thought to get the primer to see if I would like it better and yes! what a difference this primer gives me when using with the mascara...! I retract my review of MultiplEYE waterproof mascara! Using the this primer underneath makes a world of a difference and is a MUST in order to get the results of the mascara. I chose it as a sample with a recent order, thinking I'd give MultiplEYE one more shot, having been disappointed with the mascara's thick consistency and how clumpy it made my lashes. I am thrilled with how the two work together to create long lashes with no clumping and residue. Great product! Would you buy this product again? Yes

Ha! I just realized that I have never given a review for this primer. I use most all of TARTE products and love them. I came to order some things and while I was looking, noticed there are a lot of products I need to review LOL.
This primer is fabulous! I have been using it for well over a year now and do not even think of applying one of my TARTE mascaras without using this first. I had tried a few before but did not really feel the results were worth the extra time &/or expense. However, with this, I not only see a definite difference, but I also feel it. My lashes stay soft, silky, and pliable even after I remove my makeup. It has certainly improved the health of my lashes as I rarely notice any lash shedding but do notice more definition, volume, fullness, and perhaps more length. To be honest I have gotten so used to the change it is difficult to remember what poor shape my lashes were in before. I do know I was getting concerned as they were becoming more sparse and just did not seem to grow. I am hypothyroid so I think that was affecting my lashes at the time.
I have super sensitive eyes and, once again, TARTE primer does not cause any irritation, itchiness, redness, or any of the discomfort that made me give up eye makeup a long time ago, before I found TARTE.
I like that I do not have to be so concerned with getting my eyes "squeaky clean" because all the ingredients are good for my lashes and even if I make a quick effort to cleanse at night I have no negative results in the morning if I did not get it all completely off.
I love it for the effects it has on my lashes themselves and how it amps up my mascara and seems to last forever.
I would highly recommend this to anyone for all the reasons given above. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I usually have short, thin, blonde lashes that look bare even with mascara on. So, for an interview, I tried using this primer. My lashes were visible! I can't speak to the growth enhancing bit, since I am usually too lazy to put my contacts in and don't wear mascara behind my glasses, but for immediate priming results, it works. i love the lights camera lash mascara from tarte its one of my all time favourite high end mascaras so i thougth i'd give this lash primer a try. i honestly was kind of dissapointed with it. i mean it worked and everything but it didnt do anything special for my lashes. it basically just sits in my makeup case and looks pretty(its sad considering how much money i paid on this!) i think im just gunna stick with my urban decay primer :( Would you buy this product again? I don't use primers normally (it's been years lol) but I received it for the Fashion's Night Out promo TARTE was running so I decided to try it out. It seems like the primers I've used before except that this one has good-for-you ingredients plus it's supposed to help with lash growth and health. (I have been using this with the full 3 step program from the promo) I do like it and I believe it does help thicken my lashes and helps with length, though I am lucky enough to have pretty thick/long lashes without makeup. But again I do believe it helps, especially with the TARTE multipleye masacara (which I also am LOVING). So it's definitely one of the purchases that really has no downside to buy, so if you are looking for a primer I would definitely suggest this one. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I am writing this review because of what I have just seen in the mirror. I have never had bad lashes, but lately they became fragile/dry from never being cared for and always having drugstore mascara on. I wear the primer when I go to sleep and mascara (without primer) during the day. I just feel like this way ingredients from one product do not interfere with the other. Maybe I am wrong but it worked for me. I used it for 5 days and my eyelashes are touching my eyebrows. I wish I could show it to you.

great for contacts and sensitive eyes. i have accidentally gotten this in my eye a few times and i never have an irritation problem. it's a good primer, but not sure it's really necessary. it didn't make the mascara any better. maybe it moisurizes? but i didn't notice any changes to my lashes after two full tubes of use. I have not noticed if this primer has done anything for the growth of my lashes but it's the BEST one I have ever used, period. It works with any mascara and allows you to get the layered mascara look using very little mascara, so lashes are long and sleek without the spidery lash look. I hope Tarte never discontinues this product, I totally adore that it doesn't have a strong chemical smell or give irritation like other lash primers I've used in the past. I just received this order yesterday, and I finally got to try it out today. It really works! I have naturally short, sparse, straight lashes that point downwards. After curling my lashes, putting this primer and then my regular mascara on, my eyelashes have never looked better! They are so long and gorgeous! It holds the curl so well too! Usually when I put on mascara, the curl disappears within an hour or 2, but after using this primer, it was able to stay all day. The only thing is my eyelashes are not quite as voluminous as it claims they would be, but it may have also been because I didn't use the MultipEYE Mascara. But overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great, long-lasting primer that actually works. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I've had this product almost a week and bought the whole multipl-eye system. I was very excited to try the 3 step system out. The primer does not go on evenly. The bottle I received, I noticed most of the primer at the tip of the lash brush, almost as if I didn't get a bull bottle. So, a lot of primer winds up on the ends of the lashes, or whereever the tip of the brush hits. I tried to move the handle/brush around in the tube but doesn't work. If it went on more evenly and smoothly I would give it more stars. It does make the lashes appear longer but does goes on unevenly, and it dries somewhat clumpy. You'll spend more time trying to comb and separate your lashes than you do putting this on Would you buy this product again? Yes

I absolutely LOVE this primer. It's my first go at a lash primer. I've always been afraid that the white would leave me with gray lashes. This stuff seems to have fibers in it that grab on to my lashes and make them appear instantly thicker. It dries quickly, but I find that for the most natural look I need to apply my mascara while the primer is still a bit wet. Would you buy this product again? Yes

i have never used an eyelash primer before and although i bought the full sized lights camera lashes mascara, i decided to wait on buying this product full sized at the time. however, a sample came with my royal eyeshadow palette and i loooove it! the mascara is wonderful on its own, but with this primer on underneath it, my eyelashes look longer, softer, and more natural. and even if you chose to use another mascara for whatever reason, i feel like this can make it look alot better since it seperates the lashes so they shouldn't clump (or clump as much) Would you buy this product again?
