I have tried dozens upon dozens of different powders ranging from Maybelline to MAC, but I never found the perfect one. I had finally settled on one from The Body Shop as it had great coverage, but after a few hours it would look as if I only applied to to random places on my face. Finally, I decided to try this powder since I had recently switched to using the Amazonian Clay foundation. I absolutely fell in love. They compliment each other perfectly, but they also work great on their own. With so much humidity recently, I have been using only the powder and I couldn't be happier with it. This is a great product. My only complaint is that I am VERY fair skinned, and the fair02 is actually a little too dark for me to wear in the winter - it gives me a yellowish cast. But overall, I am very satisfied with it. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I've been using this powder as my foundation for years. I really love it because it's light, very natural looking and fairly good coverage. But as I'm getting older, I find I need something with more coverage. It just doesn't cover my dark under eye circles or age spots as good as I want. I was really excited about trying this product, I bought the 02 fair because I'm lighter in the winter and didn't want to have an orange face when the rest of me is white. I have a slightly uneven skin tone with quite regular blemishes and I was hoping for better coverage. I think it's true if you want more coverage with this one you need to pack it on, it might be best over a liquid foundation, at least for me. It looks extremely natural and is not cakey which is what I was looking for. I'll probably continue to use, I just hope for my skin to improve! Would you buy this product again? Yes

This is the best mineral powder out there! I had tried every other mineral powder offered at Ulta and was still having problems with super oily skin by late morning and breakouts everywhere. Finally, I went to ulta and asked a rep for help and she did an instore "makeover" with just the Tarte tinted moisturizer and this powder-- I was amazed. I had to use so much of the other brands before to cover my blemishes, but this worked so much better with less. After a week or so of use, my breakouts cleared up and my skin has been clear and bright ever since. The powder and tinted moisturizer feel so nice when you put it on, sometimes I even sleep in this and I still dont break out. My eyes and skin are very sensitive and I have never had a problem with any of the Tarte products so far. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I've had this powder for about a month. I have to say I had high hopes after reading the reviews, but I am disappointed. The coverage is sheer and doesn't build as promised. But maybe it has to do with the type of skin you have because after reading so many reviews who say they absolutely love it, it must be me and only a few others who are disappointed. I'm guessing it's because of so many different types of skin and complexions. Those who are young and don't have a whole lot to cover are probably more impressed. I really wanted it to work because the quality ingredients are so good for your skin. I just noticed now, that you can use it wet, I haven't tried it that way but will try and see if that makes a difference. No one has said they've tried it this way yet. Wish me luck!

I absolutely love this product! I was a shade 10 in the summer and I have regressed down to a shade 4 for the winter. I apply this over light liquid foundation and this look always lasts all day. Love this quick and easy product however the color I thought would be right for me turned out a bit dark. I think I will try the light 02 as the light 04 proved to dark for me. Still a wonderful product as always, I never expect less than exceptional when it comes to tarte! I recently got this powder and I LOVE it. I was hesitating on what color to get I don't know about the whole pink and yellow undertones thing. I love this stuff. I will put a little over their tinted moisturizer and it's perfect. But the other thing I love about this is that if need to quick go our or I'm having a lazy day and don't want to have to fuss to much... I just take the sponge in it and apply the powder all over my face... just by itself. Then I add a pop of blush and I'm on my way.
I get complements on how I look so natural when I wear tarte products. I love that this powder is enough on its own and evens everything out when I'm in a hurry.

I was converted from BeneFit to Tarte on this particular piece. I usually purchase, Hello, Flawless from BeneFit. When shopping in Ulta, Ashley, a Tarte rep helped me with selecting what I came in to buy. She then told me that she was the Tarte rep and I told her that since she was so quick on helping me to show me some of her products. She gave me the grand tour and then showed me this provocateur powder. It is comparable to Hello, Flawless with the spf and such. She told me about this Amazonian clay. I actually purchased it because it was four dollars cheaper than the competitor and then decided to buy the blush too... I made my purchases a week and a day ago. I have gotten compliments on my complexion for eight days. She showed me the LipSurgence gift set but I didnt want to make any more purchases. I went back that Monday and Ulta was sold out. I am impressed with this. Wish I would have had it when I was a teen. Sadly I am too old for powder foundations now, unless I use a heavy silicone primer. I am still young enough that I break out badly from that stuff. This is nice for touch ups. As a foundation you can get nice coverage from this. If you like full coverage, you will love it. You will go through it fast, but you will love it. Glad to see the refills at a lesser cost. Wish the powder puff was a flat skinny brush. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I've always loved this, but I am THRILLED with the new compact design! It was so bulky with two spaces, and really hard to keep clean before with the sponge area lined with cloth. Even when I'd wash out the sponge, the cloth lining the inside of the sponge compartment always stayed dirty - there was no way to clean it. I'm finishing my 2nd provocateur powder. I gave 5 stars with the initial review on my 1st powder, but this time I have to give 3 1/2. Packaging has changed since. Although I don't care too much about the new case design, I'm suspecting they have reduced the amount of power since the size of the sponge has gotten smaller. Also I'm very disappointed with the quality of new sponge. I can tell it's cheaper material and it doesn't apply as well as the previous kind they used. I was looking for a parabean free make up when I cam upon this make up at Sephora because I had read a book about the chemicals that are in our every day beauty products that could actually be harming our skin and I had bad acne at the time (that was the reason for the book). I started using this product and my face actually cleared up, it blew my mind because I had tried Sheer Cover and Bareminerals and my face looked like crap with those (not as bad as with cheap liquid make up though). I through this product in my cart as a free sample, and was surprised by how much I liked the product. I only use tinted moisturizer as a base, and this powder evens everything out, even though my complexion is clear anyways. I just tried this powder and was truly amazed. A few years ago I stopped using mineral powders because they were too drying and would look cakey on my skin. Not this one! I used it over the Tarte primer and Smooth Operator for an absolutely flawless finish. Today I tried it alone and was amazed at the coverage. My skin feels great and it is not cakey or drying. The Tarte pressed powder is great! I agree that coverage isn't as thick as other mineral make-up but not spilling loose powder all over your make-up bag...priceless. I like that it doesn't have all the additives that other mineral make up does so it reduces breakouts and actually made my skin softer. Not sure if the formula changed, but I've been using this for years and my very last order has been making my face itchy. Might just be winter and changing skin. Still love my shade. My main complaint is that the packaging is so over the top. I would like Tarte to mix it up, the recycled lavender metal packaging is nice and sleek, I just feel like the shimmery purple quilting makes the product look not at all like a high end earth friendly choice, it looks cheap and teeny-bopper to me. I fell inlove with this product after the second use to be quite honest, I was in a rush one morning and didnt want alot on my face. So I used a face primer and just this pressed powder alone. I used a brush in a packing motion under my eyes and trouble areas and then blended it out. Well it didnt look cakey it lasted about 6-8hrs with a primer keep in mind . I have sensitive & acne prone skin. It's hard to find products with the many chemicals even top brands have. I agree with most reviewers that the application is sheer, but I found that to be able to put powder on - you'll have to moisturize your skin, let that sink in, use concealer where you need it and let that sink in & then apply powder for that flawless look. This product is not quite as rich and silky as other mineral powders that I have used. Its coverage is pretty sheer (especially if applied with a brush), but I like to have at least a medium cover so I tried building it with the sponge. However, the more coats I put on, the cakier it looked. I have also noticed that it tends to stick to dry areas, making them quite obvious. I used it by itself over the clean slate primer, but I believe it might be better suited as a setting powder over a liquid foundation (although I would recommend the amazonian clay finishing powder if this is what you need it for). If you have great skin and want a very sheer powder foundation, this would probably work well for you. Otherwise, you might want to try one of the other Tarte foundations. I absolutely love this I love the packaging and the product the line has a really nice line for women of color which is very nice, its never cakey and really blends into the skin really well. For being semi natural and an amazing product its also pretty moderately priced Would you buy this product again? Yes

I really like this powder! It gives a smooth finish, not shiny not too matte either, very natural. I use this to set the Smooth Operator Tinted Moisturizer, and it gives such a nice extra polished look. I use this in the lightest shade "Fair", and its the perfect color match for my fair neutral skin tone. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I like to use this on days I go a little darker with cheek stain and don't want an overly dewy look. It's really nice because it doesn't look or feel thick. I love products with spf too--makes sun protection easier! Would you buy this product again? Yes

Love this. I have normal skin that's prone to dryness and this product looks natural on, does not go on cakey like most powders. Fair is actually really fair, unlike a lot of brands that seem to have trouble making super light shades. Use this with the smooth operator tinted moisturizer which provides a little bit more coverage too :) Would you buy this product again? Yes

Love this powder. It actually comes in paler colors. It can be applied heavier and provide a very matte look with the sponge that comes with it. Or for lighter coverage, goes on very well with a brush. Wish it had a higher SPF on days I wear it by itself. Would you buy this product again? Yes

This powder is the best! I have combination skin and it does not dry my skin out at all. It is best to use a powder brush to make an even application. I use this to set my ReCreate foundation and alone over primer. The powder is soft and silky and I love that it has an spf :) Would you buy this product again? Yes
