i got this in the bronze color. its amazing ... really stays on all day! i have super oily skin even my lids get oily even if i wear primer so im always skeptical, but this product truly sets in & stays on all day... i want all the colors !!! its $$$ but worth every penny :)

I was a little nervous about the size of this pencil, based on reviews, and thought I would only be able to use it for a heavier, smoky look, but I actually have ended up using it as my everyday eyeliner. I find that I can control the width of the line, and get very close to my lashes for a casual look. It glides on seamlessly. I have it in black and brown, and use the brown most often (I am fair, blonde hair, blue eyes). I love the smudging tool on the other end; although you have to smudge right away if that's the look you're going for, because it sets within about a minute. It lasts all day and into the night, and even through my workouts (and I'm a sweater!). I am not too keen on colored liners, but I might make an exception for this product.

I bought this in navy. I feel mostly positive about this product. The navy looks nice against my brown eyes, not 1980's tacky at all. It does glide on easily and stays on (although I always put eyelid primer b4 applying eye makeup, too, so that might help). I like the built-in smudger, too. I do find it hard to draw a fine line, though, so that's my only negative thought about this product. But for a slightly more dramatic look, it's great.

I rarely wear eyeliner but when I do I always grab for these products! I purchased 6 of these and the colors swatch so beautifully. My favorite quality in these eyeliners are the creaminess. They don't pull on my skin, they glide right on. Completely recommend these. :)

I love these. I have them in 3 colors and can't wait to get more. You can make a thin line or a thick line. The smudger is great too. I use these every day. Lasts all day until you take it off. Beautiful colors. Fig is a perfect everyday color and makes my green eye pop.

I really like this eyeliner. Although the big tip may be intimidating, I find it easy to make thin as well as thicker lines with it. I really like the smudging tip and use it to blend in the liner. It stays on all day and the color is great.

I love the fig shade! I have green eyes and it's just the right mixture of brown and purple to look natural and make my eyes pop. Plus, it's great to make a defined line or to add a little umph to the outter corner by smudging it into the crease.

I love this eyeliner. I usually use the emphasEYES Amazonian clay liner that comes in the pot (which I also love), but got this eyeliner in a kit that I recently purchased. The application is so easy and pretty much foolproof. It is really great for those days where you don't have a lot of time to be precise or you just want a more smoky, smudged look. I have the bronze, but look forward to purchasing quite a few more colors in this liner.

I love the black, use it almost every day. It is not a black black, but sort of a glittery charcoal. Problem is that you have to sharpen often because the tip is very wide. I wish this same color with glitter (barely noticeable) came in a skinnier tip or even a mechanical pencil... Overall, I love it!

Gosh, depending on the color, this product is so hit-and-miss for me.

I really love the brown and green because it's got good staying power and the colors are real pretty. I love my black eyeliners but this one was, just terrible. It's really just too sparkly and that really ruins it for me. I'm not in 8th grade, I'm not interested in going to work with sparkly, glittery eyes. Nope nope nope, not for Alice.

Bought these during the holidays as a set and I love them all. Beautiful long lasting liners that double as eyecolor. I would purchase these again. I love the sets because you can try many different colors, only problem is when the set is gone how can I buy just one. All the colors are great and they don't move until I take them off. Yeah no racoon eyes for me.

I love this chunky eyeliner.I usually apply it a little on the heavy side, then smudge it out. You can't get that effect with a thinner pencil. If I decide I want a more subtle look, I just sharpen the pencil to get a finer point, then apply. The colors are all great. My favorite is the plum shade. I have every color.

The best, most carefree, non-tugging, long lasting eyeliner I have ever used. I usually buy Chanel but it does tug a bit. I was looking for a natural product and was expecting to compromise for the sake of being healthy & green, however, Tarte has far exceeded my expectations. I usually skip makeup. I know I look better with it but it's so time consuming. Tarte eyeshadows glide on perfect & their eyeliner is the best (does not tug & takes 5 seconds). I will never use anything else. AMAZING! I wanted to try these eyeliners and was so excited when the special 5 piece set came out. These have amazing color, are very easy to apply (I've never been good at eyeliners but these go on like butta!) The smudger is fantastic for creating that smokey look or using the liners for eyeshadow.

For a finer point, I just make sure to sharpen a bit before use. I got rid of all my other eyeliners and am a complete convert. (I got my sister hooked too:) Definitely give these a whirl!

I have 5 of these!!! Probably enough said! I love their versatility and that they don't budge once their on. I have oily skin and the oil tends to "eat" my make-up, but these stay put. I love the Olive for a quick all over lid color, not too dark and perfect with a swipe of mascara, then out the door. The pencil is silky smooth and doesn't grab at my eyelid when I am applying.

I wear contacts so when I put it on my bottom eyelid it got into my eyes and clouded up my contacts. I wear eyeliner on the bottom eye lid all the time and that has never happened to me before. If there was a way to prevent that from happening I would have no complains about this products.

I ASOLUTELY LOVE the smolderEYES waterproof pencil!!!! I never write reviews, but had to on this one! I purchased the trio set from QVC with the colors: golden black, olive & fig, which in my opinion, are the three best(especially for my greenish eyes).

I love that this pencil glides on AND stays on. A rare find when it comes to eye pencils. You usually get silky texture, but doesn't last or rough(snags across the lid) and stays put. With this, you get both!!! I have to disagree with some of the other reviewers saying that the pencil is too thick. It just took a couple of times to figure out that if you hold it more horizontal, you get a perfect line! I don't think I'll ever go back to regular skinny liners. I used to have to make a line over and over to get the desired thickness.

PLEASE don't stop making this product OR change the formula OR get rid of your beautiful range of colors!!! I am so happy with this purchase and plan on purchasing a couple more shades!

I first bought the Holiday 2011 set of these and loved it so much that I then went and got the Bronze pencil. They go on so easily .....nice and smooth. They look great with shadow but for a quick out the door eye look just line top and bottom then add mascara and you are done.

I have several of these and love them. THey are so creamy, but when they dry they don't move. They make excellent bases, and you can smudge them out for a ... SMOLDERING look!

My only issue is using them as a liner, because they are so fat. However, I use a brush and it's perfect!

I have 8 shades, which pretty much says it all. very long lasting. will not come off unless you take it off. I also use it as eyeshadow as well and "smudge" it- lasts all day long. Note: Please be aware that these are large, fat pencils- you will not get a "thin line" with these.

Great liner. I love that it gives a thick line. Pretty goof-proof. I am glad there is a smudger on the end. If you do make a mistake, hard to do but if a mistake happens, easy to clean it up with the smudger. You can easily use this as a shadow. Love it in the crease. Use the smudger to blend it in. Works great with the amazonian clay cream shadows. It also works nicely with power shadows. It applies smooth and easily. Does not skip. Does not budge. Does not wind up half way down my face by late morning. It does not dry immediately. You have just enough time to play and smudge. Then it is on there until you take it off.

I went backpacking and brought this eye liner, concealer, and a lip surgence. I know, who wears makeup when camping? Me. I looked good. Was not worried about my makeup melting off as I hiked in the heat and humidity. If I ran into another backpacker I felt I looked nice. It easily washed off with a wipe at night. I fell asleep, was too tired to use a wipe, and my liner was still looking good the next morning.

I got the fig in a qvc kit, glow your way to gorgeous. Highly recommend getting the kit if you can find it in your shade. I bought the plum separate. Love both colors. I have green eyes. Love purples on green eyes. Purple/maroon is on the other end of the color wheel from green. If you want the green in your eyes to pop look for plums, figs, and maroons. I love that tarte gives you colors that are easy to wear. The plum in this liner is dark enough that even women who do not gravitate to color will love it. Love that tarte gives you the tools you need to best apply the product, in this case a sharpener and smudger. Thank you tarte:)

I wanted to add something to my review from 8 month ago. I moved and didn't wear makeup often after moving. I pulled these out the other day. I do love the plum, but I decided to use the gray. These have a strange shimmer/sparkle that really isn't a shimmer or sparkle. I noticed it before, but whatever Maureen did to these pencils makes them really pop out your eyes. I would recommend these to anyone. I don't try to use them as a typical thin liner (that's not their purpose). I have partially hooded lids so if I put liner on, that is mostly all you see. I use these as a base color on my lid more than an eye liner. After putting on eyeshadow, my eye looks like I have liner on, and it blends into the other colors on my lid well.
Really awesome and Very uniquely pretty product. I want more colors now!

I am not good using eyeliners, I never seem to get a nice small line on my eyelids. This must have been what I was waiting for as I can get it on really easy and then smudge it a bit so I do not have a harsh line on my lids. I have to be careful with eyeliners and shadows because my eyes are super sensitive (which is a big problem finding liners and eyeshadows) and this does not bother my eyes at all. Love the way it looks when smudged, it usually covers half my lower lid and looks nice blended with another shadow. I have the plum now and will be buying other colors.

I really like this in fig and the product goes on smoothly, however, because the pencil is so fat it is very difficult to get a precise line. Also, the Tarte pencil sharpener doesn't work with the large barrel of the liner. While the staying power is good on my eye lid, it has worn off my waterline a bit.

Well, a crisp clean line, as the advertisement states, is not really going to happen, pretty much goes on smudgy to begin with. But it goes on so easily, and it stays on all day, but comes right off at night. (I use Lancome micellar water to remove my makeup) This liner is so amazing, I have it in four colors, Navy, Charcoal, Brown and Fig. Love it! Once it sets, it stays, and it is great! The colors are muted, not that bright, but this is why it works so well for smoky eye looks. Very easy to use, like most Tarte items!

I own Fig, which originally came in a QVC kit. It's a great shade of plummy-brown. It's thicker than regular eyeliners, but I use this when I am doing a smoky look. Or, I'll use it alone (without eyeshadow) if I'm in a rush. There is a sponge tip at the other end, which you can easily use for blending. I will definitely repurchase, and check out more shades.

I picked up a couple of these from Ulta and I tried them out at home. I really liked the colors and how smooth the liner went on. Unfortunatley, I am not a fan of thick liner. So I use it as an eyeshadow crayon, and I used it to color my entire bottom lid instead of just lining.

I don't like to use much eyeliner, but when I want a little bit of a dramatic or dressed up look this pencil was great for me. The pencil is big so it was easy to apply and not to mention the pencil easily glides on like butter! The only problem I had with it was I wished that it lasted longer, it seem to last two to three hours, but did not last all day. For the price I wished it lasted longer especially for the girl on the go who doesn't have the time to touch up her make up three hours later. If this had more staying power I would definitely love this product!

Love love love the fig color! It is the perfect color for my blue-green eyes and fair skin. It glides on very smooth, and does not usually smudge under my eyes. It is a chubby liner though, which sometimes I like and sometimes I dont. I think I would like it if one side of the pencil was chubby and one side was skinny. That is the only thing I would change.

I have never been a fan of thick liner pencils like these, but this one is pretty great! It sharpens to a fine enough point that I can line with it, and then when I follow up with the smudger end, I get a nice, casual look. So although I'll never switch entirely to a thick liner like this one, I will definitely be using this one.

The Fig shade is my all time favorite! The color is perfect for me. I have white hair and green eyes and it just goes perfectly. I like the smudger that's at the opposite end of the pencil and the eyeliner goes on so smoothly . I like the softening kind of liner so much better than a sharp kind of liner. This is one of the best eye pencils I have ever owned. The pencil just glides easily through my eye without any fuss. Plus there is an added smudger on the opposite side. I only wish that the pencil wasn't so chubby! It would have been nicer if it was a thin pencil instead.

It got this in the color called 'Fig' in a QVC TSV a few days ago. The color is beautiful and it smudges just right but doesn't look too 'made-up' or heavy. It stays put all day. I usually have issues with liners coming off at the top of my lid when I blink or under my eye after about an hour. This product doesn't do this at all and it's easy to wash off at the end of the day.

I highly recommend this product.

I got this as part of a QVC special set. It's thicker then usual liners- i couldn't line my inner rims with it, but i did use it on top of lash line and it looked very sultry and pretty and didn't budge all night. I also liked it as an eyeshadow that was budgeproof.

I got this in a browny-plum color in the "Glow Your Way to Gorgeous" set, pre-order TSV on QVC. (Which I highly recommend - it's a steal for the price and amount of full-sized products!). It goes on so smoothly and is so easy to smudge for a smoky look or an all-over eye shadow.

I'm disappointed that there aren't more options available on the Tarte website. I much prefer ordering through the company rather than other store sites. Sephora has a great selection, Ulta only has the duo. I saw a video on the Tarte website that used a champagne color but can't find it anywhere to order...I would love to purchase it though. I hope it becomes available on the Tarte site soon!

Tarte makes the best eye liners on the market. Nice saturated color, smooth application, easy to wash off, but it stays where you put it. This lives up to everything I have come to expect out of tarte eye liners. This one gives a bit of a thicker line. Great for a smokey look. Love the smudger on the end. Bonus, the bronze can easily double as a shadow if needed.

I love these pencils! I have a set of three, and they are all beautiful. They are easy to use and glide on the eye. The colors are can be used with a variety of looks. I love these pencils. I bought a set of 3 from QVC because Tarte's website selection sucks. I have a gorgeous plum, bronze and gray. They smudge really well and look super pigmented and shimmery without being over the top. They work great as a shadow too. The sponge end works great for pulling, but a smudge brush works best for smudging. Stays all day.

This is a must have for a smokey eye. Makes it so easy! This eyeliner is super creamy, then it sets to last all day and night long. I, also, use this to line my waterline and it doesn't goop up on me. Because of the size and the consistency I am able to line my waterline and under my lashes without leaving gaps between my lashes without product. Awesome stuff!

I love these pencils! They are quick and easy to use and last all day. I thought the thick pencil would be awkward, but it's very easy to use. Besides the ease of use the big part is that they do stay all day. If you want to smudge it, you have to do it quick because that is how soon it sets. I would recommend these pencils to anybody. It is not a harsh line, but a soft line which is easy to extend into the corner of your eye for a smokey eye look. All the tarte eye liners are great and have the staying power which all the others do not, and I have tried them all! Just about every brand. Thanks tarte for making such wonderful products which I feel comfortable using regarding ingredients too!
