This position is accountable for managing assigned inventories through daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks, while facilitating communication between multiple corporate teams and our third party warehouse. Under the direction of the Inventory Manager, the Inventory Control Coordinator/ Sr. Coordinator organizes periodic inventory counts, adjusts quantities and locations, and records and reports discrepancies to management. This role will based out of NYC with frequent visits to our 3PL in NJ.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Inventory Control team at our third party warehouse to develop, implement, and monitor inventory control procedures.
  • Facilitate communication channels between Tarte and our third party warehouse
  • Monitor daily inventory activity to identify potential issues
  • Assist with monthly reconciliation and close processes
  • Help develop a cycle count process and collaborate with Finance, Operations and other stakeholders in implementing this best in class program (including our Hong Kong based team) to implement it across supplier base
  • Help oversee the annual physical inventory count, and verification processes
  • Identify slow moving and potentially excess inventories and support internal Planning, Operations and Finance teams in an inventory liquidation program. This would include helping to manage kitting, promotional activities and liquidation/destruction.
  • Support Operations, Quality and Accounting with operational documentation including missing receipts, product inspections, obsolescence reserve calculation

Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Minimum 0-4 years inventory experience (must have supply chain internships)

  • Analyze business needs and strategize cross functionally with supply chain leaders and channel planning partners

  • Maintaining excellent working relationships with vendors, employees, and other departments in support of AP procedures. Researching and responding to internal inquiries quickly and courteously and following-up and following-through with complicated matters.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE – Assist the Accounting Team with:

  • Timely processing all customer payment & chargebacks in accounting system
  • Reconciling payment transactions and bank deposits and settlements daily
  • Following up on past due balances under the guidance of the Senior Accounting Manager
  • Responding to customer inquiries & working with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues and providing a good customer experience

COMPLIANCE – Assist the Accounting Team with:

  • Prepare schedules for external & Japanese SOX (JSOX) and/or internal audits

Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & CPA required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a general accounting position; “Big 4” experience a Plus. Consumer products or manufacturing and/or e-commerce experience preferred. Cosmetics Industry a Plus.
  • Proven understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and accounting
  • Expertise in Excel. Knowledge of Navision a Plus.
