girl’s best friend: celebs and their furry besties

Rachel Bilson walks Thurman Murmen, her adorable mixed breed dog.

Lauren Conrad stays fit walking her rescue pup, Chloe.

Kate Beckinsale has her hands full with two little puppies — yet she still manages to find time to shop, go Kate!

January Jones took a stroll with her furry friend in the cool, spring sunshine near her house in LA yesterday. Apparently, the The Mad Men star walks her dog every day!

Hilary Duff runs errands with her dog Dubois, a beautiful Bernese mountain dog — how cute!

Ashley Olsen carries her adorable French bulldog to her car in NYC. Such a small girl carrying a heavy little pooch….talk about an arm work out.

Amanda Seyfried is rarely seen without her dog Finn by her side. She takes Finn everywhere …even on set.

Jen’s Pick: Organic Denim

As a lover of all things chemical-free, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite organic denim brands — and the celebs who wear them. These blue jeans are earth-friendly, natural and have serious style.

Style Star:

Reality TV star turned fashion designer/New York Times bestselling author/blogging extraordinaire Lauren Conrad personifies easy, breezy, California style. From her daily uniform of a C&C tank and ripped jeans on Laguna Beach, to the side-braid style she made ever-so-popular from her days on The Hills, to her sophisticated and simple style as of late, there is no look that this beachy (now ombre’d) blonde can’t pull off.

So what is the secret to LC’s fabulous, yet effortlessly chic style? She has figured out what is most flattering for her, and runs with it. She is able to dress up basics with fabulous accessories and fun hair and makeup, yet never wears anything overtly trendy or embellished. Her upcoming fashion collection, Paper Crown, places an emphasis on fabulously simple, timeless pieces that can be mixed and matched to create a plethora of looks suitable for any occasion, body type, or style.

Lauren’s most recent looks showcase her ability to put trendy hair and makeup looks with simple, well-tailored clothing to create a style that is all her own. Let’s take a closer look!

On a recent appearance on Chelsea Handler’s show (just hours after she turned in the manuscript for her fifth novel – is this girl an overachiever or what?!), Lauren looked gorgeously glam in a black mini-dress with lace overlay, worn with chunky wooden platforms. Her hair was perfectly plaited to the side and with the help of makeup artist Amy Nadine (with whom Lauren runs beauty blog, The Beauty Department), she looked positively radiant. Meet The Pro: Amy Nadine

It’s November and that means time to meet a new artist whose work makes us go gaga! Introducing… Amy Nadine! Not only have I always been a fan of her work (I’ve replicated Lauren Conrad’s cat eye & pink lip combo on numerous occasions), but after chatting with her I realized this creative genius also has a heart of gold. If she isn’t glamming-up some of Hollywood’s prettiest faces, then she’s bringing attention to rescue dogs that desperately need a loving home (that’s her pup Sprewell featured above!). Amy & I began working together when she used tarte’s LipSurgence™  in lust on Krysten Ritter for the premiere of Get Him to The Greek. Currently, as the Head of the Makeup Department, Amy has the cast of BFF & Baby addicted to tarte’s LipSurgence™, too. Check out Amy’s Q+A above and browse her website here: http://www.amynadine.com/. She is sure to impress.

Xo,

Kristin
