Dear tartelettes,

Due to Hurricane Sandy the tarte offices and customer service line will be closed from October 29th until further notice. We will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so. If you need to contact us in the meantime, please send an email to info@tartecosmetics.com, and we will answer it as soon as possible.

Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by the storm. Please stay safe tartelettes.

pic of the day: a living legend on 5th avenue

One of the perks of living in NYC? You never know who you’re going to run into. Early this morning, Jenna, tarte’s creative marketing manager bumped in creative great Simon Doonan on 5th Ave. In her own words:

“So sleepy this morning… but awake enough to notice Barneys New York‘s Creative Extraordinaire Simon Doonan walking down 5th Avenue next to me… which is why I had to grab him (with force) for a photo op. Ha! The best part? He was oh-so-genuinely-nice and what’s nicer than being nice AND having amazing style? They go hand in hand.”

Have you ever run into a living legend on the street? Tell us all about it, or better yet, share a photo!

NYC Concert

I was just reading the line up for the Coachella music festival in Indio, California this year, and the article mentioned that the same promoters are launching a similar music event on the east coast, at Liberty State park in New Jersey. The festival won’t be quite the same as Coachella where most concert goers camp out in the desert, instead trains and ferries will shuttle people in for the 3 day event along the waterside with the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan as a beautiful back drop. Major headliners like Radiohead are expected to be announced. I can’t wait, sounds like a pretty cool event!
