Love this product!
I've only ever used liquid foundation so I was a little nervous to switch to a powder foundation, but this product is awesome! It still provides great coverage and my skin has seen an improvement since switching!

Great coverage, feels light!
Finally!! I have been searching for a replacement for Tarte’s Amazonian Clay full coverage Airbrush powder foundation since it was discontinued, and nothing has compared until this. I tried multiple Bare Minerals products, Tarte’s other powder options, and they just weren’t the same. If you loved the Amazonian Clay Airbrush powder foundation you’ll love this! It feels light, looks natural, and even though it’s a powder it doesn’t leave my sensitive and dry-prone skin looking dry and flakey after a few hours. It just covers up redness and blends beautifully, looking like my natural skin.

Just okay
I was excited to try this new product, but the color ended up being too light. It appeared much lighter than on the website, so I should have exchanged it. It does apply easily and gives decent coverage for a powder. One negative (for me) is that it made me greasy looking after an hour or two. Maybe it just doesn't vibe with my skin.

I had high hopes for this since my favorite was discontinued, but it does not wear as well and tends to cake in my pores. I'm disappointed and don't think I'll purchase again. It is too expensive for what it does. Bring back the other version!!

Sadness continues
I cant tell you how disappointed I was to see the Amazonian Clay power foundation discontinued. Tears may have been shed. It hurt. This version is alright, but nowhere near the true magic and mystery of its predecessor.

Love it!
I have always had dry skin around my nose, and chin so I have never done well with powders. I saw this and really wanted to try it, but was worried about how it would do with my dry skin. I finally decided to just go ahead and order it, and I am in love! I ordered it with the blur brush, and it literally takes like 30 seconds to apply, and looks so flawless! I just did my regular pre-foundation routine before applying, and my face looks perfectly smooth all day! You would never even know it was a powder base.

Bring back the old formula!
I am so sad. I have been using this foundation for many years, and loved the old formula. The new formula, in the same color, is very white and pasty on me. The next choice is too dark. Also, I find that this powder is too thin and does not cover well. Even with the primer, it slides off and doesn’t stay put. I was so excited to try this again after all this time, but now I’m just sad ! Please hear us and change it back!

Colors are different from the original Amazonian clay powder foundation
I was using the original Amazonian clay airbrush foundation in light-medium beige and found it a little too dark on my untanned winter skin. Since that was is discontinued I ordered the new product in a shade lighter. After a few weeks of waiting for it to be in stock, I received the Amazonian clay gem powder foundation in 22B light beige. I’m disappointed in the color. Beige is supposed to be for skin with pink undertones but this new shade has a lot yellow. I compared both colors on my face, hand and on a piece of white paper and I can see the difference in tone. I wish I could attach a picture to this review to show the comparisons. Unfortunately this is going back.

good but not like the old amazonian powder
i use this as a full coverage base. I was so excited to finally have anotehr poder ins tock, becuase i love how the poder foundation feels against my skin. The only thing is that i feel like i had to put on two layers of foundation to getmy full coverage, unlike the old versions which more came onto the brush and was applied to the face.

Amazonian clay gem powder foundation the BEST EVER!!
Soooo super glad Amazonian Clay Mineral Foundation is back!! I could never find any product even remotely close to Tarte's product after years of searching when the previously stopped making it. This is the best ever, especially because it's one and done, meaning lazy makeup peeps like me have full coverage with just this amazing loose powder foundation because I won't use bb cream, then primer, then concealer, then liquid foundation, then setting powder. I have tooamy orher things to do, so Please NEVER take this super amazing Amazonian clay gem powder foundation away again!! It is the best ever, and has so many awesome shades that I can use the perfect ones during different seasons!

FINALLY it is BACK!
I have missed the clay powder! This is not the exact same formula, but close. I still use my kabuki brush, but it doesn't work as good as the powderpad that comes with it. I just don't like powder pads.

Great but not a holy grail
This is probably one of my favorites but not a holy grail for me. I have very oily skin and I was hoping this would help, but by mid day my t zone was pretty awful. I do like the coverage and how light it feels on my face

My number one foundation
Best powder foundation I’ve ever used. When the last loose Amazonian clay foundation was discontinued, I was scrambling to find something that could compare! I couldn’t find anything as good, and was relieved when they brought this back. Now it’s even better! Great coverage and never looks powdery. Awesome, flawless, and a necessary edition to any make-up regimen!
This powder is luxury in a bottle! I gave up on powders pretty much all together, but then I took a chance on this. Whether over my or by itself, the clay gem powder gives nice, even coverage. And you can't even tell you have it on! Another home run, Tarte!

Yes! This really IS as good as the glowing reviews say it is!
The powder is so silky and requires no blending, tweaking or ANYTHING to make it look better on my skin. I use the enclosed applicator and my skin looks flawless. I have rosacea and dark spots from years of sun worshipping in the 70’s & 80’s.
This is a powder that feels like silk perfection and my skin looks it’s best - FLAWLESS -with this clay gem ??!!

Too Heavy
This powder provides very heavy coverage to the point where I find it difficult to apply because it looks thicker in some areas. After getting it on properly, it looks great initially and I’ve received compliments for the way my skin glows. Unfortunately I have oily skin, and after about an hour the makeup starts to look cakey. It’s impossible to fix it at that point because if you blot or apply more powder it’s just a mess. I’ve been checking Tarte every day to see if a lighter powder like Smooth Operator is back in stock because my skin just wants to escape this thick powder. Really not a good fit for my skin type.

Not too impressed with my skin, works better for others.
I wanted to love this. I love the original clay tarte foundation (liquid brown bottle), but seen how this got better reviews than the replacement of the liquid. I just felt like it didn’t cover good for me. It seems it works better with other people.

Radiant Glow Comfortable
The first day I wore Amazonian Clay Powder Foundation, my daughter commented how radiant, glowing my skin looked. It was very comfortable & felt lightweight but I feel it's a medium coverage because it doesn’t cover a few hormonal acne scars I have. I wear only on days off as opposed to full coverage double wear liquid for work zoom calls. I ordered one shade lighter 27B than the recommended 34B. I am a light-skinned, middle-aged Latina. I don’t burn easily. I wear Pebble in Ester Lauder. I like the old packaging better. I cannot carry new one with me because it spills all over. I highly recommend Tarte since it feels light & I am a product junkie who spends hundreds of dollars on foundations.

Not what I was expecting
Honestly I normally like any Tarte product. Unfortunately this foundation, no matter what I did, kept separating on my skin and I tried with and without my normal primer. I was super disappointed with this specific foundation but I will continue to buy Tarte products because I enjoy using other products.

New formula is lovely!
This foundation is great so far! I’ve been using it for around a week and it is really nice! It stays all day, has great buildanle coverage all the way to completely full coverage! You’d think you were wearing full coverage liquid foundation! It looks really smooth and pretty all day long. While I really like this new one, I still love the old one and I’m heartbroken Tarte decided to get rid of it… but I am glad you brought it back even if it’s different!

I have loved this foundation for years. It has the best coverage that is so light. You barely have to use any powder to achieve a fully covered face that feels light and breathable.

Solid buy
This lives up to the hype in my opinion. It makes my skin look instantly better and doesn’t require a lot to have good coverage. I’m very pleased because I prefer powder over liquid if I can find a good powder and this is it.

Clay Gem Powder
It seems much like the previous formula of Amazonian Clay Powder when testing it out. I have not yet given the full day test, yet I am looking forward to it. I choose the lightest fair color as it helps cover and even out my melasma!

Nice product!
The product goes on nice however I ordered the wrong shade so I don’t really use it. I couldn’t find the order number to exchange. But definitely seemed like it was a nice product!!

Great for everyday
In case this might help anyone find their shade, I wear 20B Light in Face Tape foundation and the 20N in this powder foundation seems to match that color.
I really like this when I only have five minutes to put on makeup, it’s super quick and easy and isn’t too heavy but still covers imperfections. And it lasts all day. I still love Face Tape and Amazonian Clay but they are more full coverage.

Not for me
I wanted to love this, bc I usually love every product from Tarte, but it wasn't for me. I felt like it looked really cakey on my skin and didn't blend well at all. It does cover well, so that was great. Just not for me.

My new favorite foundation
Dear Tarte, please do not ever stop making this product. It is so easy to use, so blendable, It is like your natural skin only better and is so light and doesn’t clog your pores The Way heavy liquid foundations do for me. I will never stop using this as long as they make it, highly recommend with the little chubby rush.

I have been using this foundation for a month now and I love it. It has no shimmer but it does have a nice natural finish on my skin. I can get light to medium coverage which is perfect for me.

That depends on what you're looking for. I find it surprisingly opaque for a powder, so for coverage, I'd rate it medium/build able. However it is dry, so you won't have the dewy effect of a liquid.

No, not really. It goes on very nicely but it doesn’t last as long as foundation does. By the end of the day it’s cakey and it’s worn off in certain areas.

I have relatively dry skin and this powder makes my skin look flawless, and isn’t drying at all. I do use moisturizer prior to using the powder which helps with skin dryness.

BEST ANSWER: Hi there! As this powder is already a foundation, we don't recommend using it on top of another foundation. It is best applied alone or with a lightweight tinted moisturizer.

I used a lighter hand when putting it over foundation and it just gave a nice glow and ‘blur’. Didn’t seem cakey at all.

I’d say you should try for fair light neutral as that sounds matchable for you. If you prefer darker tone, you can try light beige as that hits the notes for pink undertones. I love the light sand cause of its golden sheen and I have beige undertones as well. The color you choose should be what color you wish your skin to reflect.

I don't use liquid underneath this product. Occasionally I will use a concealer in certain spots, but the coverage with this product is insane! Works so well.

I like a lighter feel so I use a foundation brush, not the pad that comes with it. I still get great coverage doing that and it doesn't feel heavy at all.

BEST ANSWER: Not unless you heavily moisturize and use a pore filling primer first. Finishing it off with a hydrating mist might help as well. It's probably not a foundation I would use unless the weather was hot and humid.

BEST ANSWER: This covers redness and smooths pores. I will use a concealer under it if I have a pimple, but otherwise I wear this and only this and it works great.
