My FIRST Tarte Purchase many many moons ago but it's STILL my TRUE LOVE ??
This was my very first high end boojjie brand name eye shadow pallet and my first ever have to have it or I am going to cry splurge. It was the best purchase of my life and introduced my to one of the best eye shadow formulas on the market. These shadows feel wet and they feel creamy and they are pigmented but buildable...it's not touch brush to eye and cuss a blue streak cause it's way too intense and now you have to start over. They are true to color on they eye. What you see in the pan is what you get on your eyelid. These as with ALL Tarte shadows blend like a dream. It was like working in a whole new medium compared to drug store quads from the 80s and 90s...this was like the difference between painting with arcrylic paint on cardboard and trying oil pigments on canvas for the first time...and the fact that the powders smell like a sugar cookie baking...needless to say once I discovered, that every year for the past 5 years, I have bought the big Christmas set...pallet and minis...my personal favorite are still these round pallets though because they have great mirrors and are the perfect size and weight to hold in one hand and do your make up?? This volume one and three and the sizzle are my go to pallets for everyday looks. This is the absolute end all be all of neutral smokey eye for work or school...don't get me wrong I love the Flirt and Tease 6 pan pallets to throw in your purse and go as well as I adore the Tartlette Toasted, In Bloom, Classic, and now Juicy pallets but they are just a little off balance in your palm and you end up sitting them down like the Remixed (crudd puppies now I can't remember the largest ones name...but it's the same with the holiday pallets usually...they're big and bulky but you have every color you'll ever need as well as all your eye and possibly full face needs, wants, and wishes if it came with minis...I TRULY DO LOVE THIS BRAND ESPECIALLY THIS PALLET!! (ONLY products I steer clear of at Tarte are foundations and ONLY because on my skin I haven't found a Tarte one that sits right...the Baboocealer is the closest to skin I can come and it bunches, sinks into my smile lines, and ultimately looks icky after about 2 hours and I end up touching it up and then mucking it up worse and off it comes.
Neutrals again...but strutting some serious tudeage...wear the makeup...it don't own you!
Closer look at how these shadows all but blend themselves. Natasha's don't hold a candle to these.
