This is amazing
I'm 62 and as most my age we are constantly looking for face cover that doesn't cake up or sit in our lines and pours. I chatted with the Tarte reps and they recommended this. I had been using the base and then patting powder on top and was unhappy. They recommended this and it's wonderful. Highly recommend. Skin match was perfect.

Highly Disappointed!
First of all, the color they suggested for me was wrong and I look like a ghost if I wear this. Secondly, I have mature skin so was hoping this would give me the coverage I needed without the cakiness of most full coverage powder foundations. I used to love the Amazonian Clay loose powder foundation but they discontinued it. This is not even close to a substitute. If you live in Canada, you can't even return it and get the correct color. HUGE waste of money!

An AMAZING Foundation, My New Everday Favorite!!
So I used to be lifelong fan of Tarte's Amazonian Clay Airbrush Powder foundation...until it was sadly discontinued. My old color does not exist in any of the currently available powder foundations, so it took me a while to find something that worked. THIS powder foundation is amazing. It's actually darn near perfect. It is a powder foundation, which is my favorite, but it's also pressed so it's neater and much less of a mess (I do like loose powder obviously, but a con is it tends to get EVERYWHERE...on that nice shirt you're wearing, on your wooden table, and if you accidentally spill a bunch of it on your laptop right before a flight prepare to get pulled aside during airport security because you have sketchy mystery mineral residue on your laptop lol). Most importantly, this powder foundation lays on beautifully. My skin literally looks like it has a filter on it in certain lighting... in real life. Which is cool. I pair this with the Shape Tape concealor, so concealor underneath on small spots I want to cover up and the Blurring Powder all over foundation on top. It smooths my skin out really nicely. So how it compares with the other Tarte powders that are available that I've tried? The newer Amazonian Clay Gem Powder foundation is also nice, but doesn't smooth skin out quite as dramatically and leaves a slightly more "natural" finish than the Blurring Powder foundation I think. The biggest problem I have with the Gem Powder is that the colors are too limited for me (as of the time of this review). The Gem Powder foundation curiously has a lack of Sand colors in the darker hues (ex: Tan Sand, Tan-Deep Sand, Deep Sand are all missing for some reason.), so if this is you, you may not find a great color match in that line, though you may find something that just "kinda works." Hopefully that changes and Tarte adds more colors there. It's also a loose powder so it's of course messy. The Shape Tape Pressed Powder is heavier on the powder look and as a foundation is a bit crease-y and super-mattifying to the point of ashiness in my opinion, but works ok as a quick, light mattifying touchup later in the day or evening. I haven't tried the Amazonian Clay Pressed Powder so I cannot tell you much about that one. Of the ones I've tried, in my opinion, the Blurring Powder Foundation is the best.

Not what I expected
The foundation powder is not as pliable or workable as other powder foundations I’ve used. The applicator it comes with is like using a piece of cardboard and is harsh when trying to apply the foundation to your face. Not very happy with this product. If a suggestion is buying a brush to apply the foundation, then why not include the brush instead of the cheap pad.
