#STORMOFLOVE
To support the millions of tartelettes affected by natural disasters spanning the globe, we launched the #stormoflove fundraising campaign, benefiting organizations dedicated to providing relief during a natural disaster. During the #stormoflove initiative, heart to tarte™ sent donations to Habitat for Humanity & the ASPCA among many other charities.

In sourcing ingredients like Amazonian clay & maracuja oil, CEO Maureen Kelly sought out cooperatives to work with to ensure that everything is harvested in a sustainable way, as well as to support & empower local communities where the ingredients are found.
Amazonian Clay
Spanning 4,000 miles, the Amazon River collects highly nutritious plant & fruit matter as it runs its course, ultimately ending up in the river's basin, where the clay is at its highest nutrient concentration. We wait for the sun to naturally bake the clay, locking in the plant & fruit nutrients, then shave the clay down to a finely-milled powder to infuse in our high-performance natural™ formulas.
Maracuja Oil
We've partnered with a cooperative in the Rainforest to develop an all-female farming community where they use the seeds that would normally be discarded & cold-press them into maracuja oil. Not only does the product do good for your complexion - it also helps to empower a community of women & reduce our own carbon footprint.
Every year, we've supported & partnered with the Sea Turtle Conservancy to
help keep the precious ocean ecosystem as nourished & protected as our
marine-sourced ingredients keep your skin.
MEET SHELLY
Every August, the Sea Turtle Conservancy hosts a Tour de Turtles migration marathon to track individual sea turtles for three months as they leave their nesting beaches & head out to sea. We’re sponsoring a loggerhead turtle we’ve named Shelly this year & you can follow along on her journey!
