You can return new or gently used items purchased on tarte.com within 30 days* of delivery. A $5 return handling fee will be deducted from your refund. Only one return or exchange is allowed per order. If you're returning multiple items, please pack them together in one box using the same return. Exchanges are free. Final sale items are not eligible for return or exchange.

Return Policy for GMA Steals & Deals Orders: We accept returns of new or gently used items from GMA Steals & Deals within 30 days of delivery. To request a return, please email squad@tarte.com or call 646-971-2676 to receive a free prepaid return authorization label. Please note that GMA Steals & Deals orders cannot be returned using the “Start a Return” link on tarte.com. Original shipping charges, if any, are nonrefundable, and tarte is not responsible for returns lost in transit. We recommend keeping your tracking number so you can confirm delivery of your return.

We’re always working to keep our products as affordable as possible. The $5 return fee helps cover the rising costs of return shipping. This allows us to continue offering free shipping promotions, good-for-you ingredients, and cruelty-free formulas without raising prices across the board.

Start your return here. You’ll need your order number and email address. Pack your items in one box, attach the prepaid label, and drop it off at USPS. Return requests must be made within 30 days of delivery.

No. To ensure we can track and process your return correctly, you must use the prepaid return label provided through our returns portal. Returns shipped with other carriers may not be processed or refunded.

Drop your package at any USPS location. We recommend doing so within 14 days of receiving your return label to avoid delays

Once your return is scanned at warehouse, your refund—minus the $5 fee—will be processed within 1–2 business days. It may take 7–10 business days for the refund to appear on your original payment method, depending on your bank or payment provider.

If you paid for shipping, standard or expedited, those shipping fees are non-refundable. We’ll refund the cost of the returned products (minus the $5 return handling fee for U.S. orders), but the original shipping charges are not included in the refund.

Tip: To avoid paying for shipping, we offer free standard shipping on qualifying U.S. orders of $40 USD or more, including Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. Expedited shipping options are available for an additional fee depending on your location, and prices are listed at checkout.

No. We only accept returns for items purchased directly from tarte.com. If you bought a tarte™ product from a retail partner, please contact that retailer directly for their return policy.

Return labels are valid for 28 days. If yours expired or isn’t working, email us at squad@tarte.com with your order number and email — we’ll send a new one.

We’re unable to accept returns for orders shipped outside the U.S. or Puerto Rico. If your international order was damaged or incorrect, contact squad@tarte.com— we’re happy to help.

We’re so sorry about that! Visit our returns & exchanges portal and select “product was damaged” or “received the wrong item” as the reason for your return. We’ll take it from there.
