okay "I bought the colors gaze, smolder, sultry and smoke show. The colors look different in person than in the photo which is true for most of tarte's products on the website. Smolder is a darker shade almost black/dark brown with a slight plum tone. Not the purple you see on the photos. Sultry is a dark brown with slight golden/bronze shimmer when the light hits it. Mine came defective but customer service was helpful. Smoke show is a grayish mauve satin, very pretty, not as dark as smolder or sultry. Gaze is much too light and it does not show up on lighter skin tones. It does last, it is pigmented and glides on creamy and smooth but you may need to do 2-3 layers for color payoff, as 1 layer is more subtle. Tips do wear down pretty fast before you need to sharpen. The tip is rounded and no way to get a sharp line like it shows on the website. They used to come with a sharpener and i wish these still did. I got it at a good price, full price is to high. Overall, I do like it but there are things to consider, like the price, drying out the lids, fast wear down and colors look different in person than online. Nice product "I have 3 of these, and Obsession is my favorite. This formula blends well, and has a sharp enough point to use it as a liner as well as a shadow stick. You CAN sharpen these. And they last all day. "Get the very wide sharpener from a brand that starts with "R", pull the insert out. Sharpen these. $3 from a store "A". It works beautifully. The sharpener has 2 holes but can sharpen 3 sizes of pencils. Pull the insert out. You're golden. Don't miss out on these. I have 5 colors. Last all day, no touch-ups and don't embarrassed me. Great eyeliner BUT… "This is a great eyeliner and I love how long it lasts. What I don’t understand is, why wouldn’t you sell this with the option to buy a sharpener with it??? The one I have completely broke the entire tip off and ruined it. This wasn’t thought through well at all. What it comes down to is I bought this and could only use it for 2 weeks.
