Sad trombone
Hopefully the suboptimal experience I had was circumstantial, and perhaps I’ll give this another try, but this was quite disappointing. It was incredibly dry and the only product that successfully made it on my lashes was in clumps. It did not coat; it did not enhance. It simply dried out and made the mascara more difficult to apply. Before finding Lights, Camera, Lashes, I was fairly ambivalent about mascara - it left eyelash imprints on my cheeks and brow bone and smeared below my eyes and looked like spider legs and wasn’t worth the hassle. But then came Tarte, and I marveled at how great their mascara was. I didn’t imagine it could be improved upon but was excited by the prospect. This primer was the opposite of an improvement. Admittedly, I waited a couple weeks before opening and trying it, but if the shelf life of their products, unopened, is only a month, there’s a whole other problem to discuss. Sad trombone.
