"I bought into the hype. I ordered this and the brush that makes the “magic” happen. Well…no magic. This formula is probably one of the worst I’ve tried. It will literally wipe off within an hour no matter how you prime or set. Plus…not great coverage. I have pretty good skin…once in a while a girl needs a boost. This stuff is not that boost."

"This is my new favorite concealer for under eye dark circles. I've always had dark circles under my eyes and have tried so many concealers over the years. I'm 61 and am starting to get some wrinkles as well. This blends in well, doesn’t make my wrinkles stand out and still hides those dark circles. It also blends well with my powder foundation and looks natural. This is my 3rd time ordering and I love it."

Not so thrilled…

"Let me start off by saying that I love Tarte as a brand and everything it stands for. I’ve had great experiences with many of their products, so I was excited to try the Shape Tape Concealer. Unfortunately, this one fell short of my expectations. On the positive side, the shade match was perfect, and the formula blended effortlessly into my skin without looking patchy. However, the wear time was disappointing. After only a couple of hours, I noticed it had started to fade and required a touch-up, which isn’t what I expect from a full-coverage concealer. I also found that the formula isn’t very buildable. Adding another layer tended to make it look heavier rather than providing seamless additional coverage. While I can see why so many people enjoy this concealer, it just didn’t perform the way I hoped it would. Overall, it’s not a bad product, but considering the price and the hype surrounding it, I expected better longevity and buildability."

"It goes on smooth and blend easily. This is actually my all-time favorite concealer stick. I’ve tried the concealers that Tarte and was not pleased. I’m on my third concealer I’ve purchased. The great thing about this concealer stick color that I use I’ve actually been in a rush and went out the door before finishing putting on my foundation, and I was pleased with the coverage."

Hi there, this is based on your preference and desired coverage! You can use either before or after foundation, I typically like to apply concealer first!

Hi tartelette! The product doesn’t include the applicator brush on its own, but we do offer the Big Stick Energy Duo, which comes with both the concealer and the matching brush. To get the brush, the duo would need to be purchased together!
