The Academy of Country Music Awards – the country music world’s self-declared “Party of the Year” – kicked off to a rollickin’, country-lovin’ good time last night with a boot-tapping performance by Carrie Underwood. Hosted by Reba McIntire and Blake Shelton, the evening was full of performances, both fun (as with a rousing, booze-soaked rendition of “Red Solo Cup”) and heartfelt. Of course, it being a country kinda night, there was enough sparkly cleavage, formal denim, and big hair to last us all year. Amidst these Texas-size accoutrements, however, there were a few fashion standouts. Here, we’ve declared our red-carpet winners from last night’s ACMA’s.

Carrie Underwood

The always-gorgeous Ms. Underwood had her famous legs on display in this lovely gown.

Taylor Swift

Looking more polished than usual, Taylor wowed in an architectural column gown and straight locks.

Nicole Kidman

We love the whimsical collar and illusion neckline, which add interest to a simple black dress.

Shannon DeLima

Marc Anthony’s new lady-friend strutted down the red carpet in this amazing yellow gown.

Hillary Scott

Lady Antebellum’s lead songstress looked subtly gorgeous in a clingy black dress, stunning emerald earrings, and perfect hair.

Miranda Lambert

Bedecked in gold, Lambert looked ready to take home a statuette.

Jennifer Nettles

We love the lacey coral number Nettles floated down the carpet in; we’d like it even more sans yellow belt.

Karen Fairchild

The Little Big Town singer stood out from her group in a gorgeous sequined dress. Love the wavey, Missoni-esque print – and the daring neckline!
