Absolutely worth the purchase! It does not flake one bit at all and lashes are stronger after just one use! I have rather thin lashes that are prone to falling out and the roots of my lashes felt thicker than the day before. I will say however, it is difficult to remove without the uses of an oil based remover, which can be a pain. (I will suggest the oil-free makeup wipes with tea tree oil kirkland offers! they work like a charm!) I love the bamboo packaging, looks and a feels really cool. Today in fact, I twisted on the cap after use, and actually the screw top of the mascara tube actually snapped off and is stuck in the wand, which is an enormous bummer actually, but I am definitely going back to by another by the end of this week! Overall, this is the best mascara I have personally used. No clumps, no flaking, amazing brush, packaging, and product. Absolutely adore it. :) Would you buy this product again? Yes

Let's be honest, just read all the other reviews here to see that this mascara is great. It is pricey but the packaging is bamboo, which is nice to know that it is more environmentally friendly. I wish it came in more colors though, like deep brown for girls with lighter hair and skin. Would you buy this product again? Yes

Super impressed with this one, compared to Lights Camera Action which has also been amazing.
I used to have 3 rows of lashes, now with age and 2 kiddos i have maybe 2. this had made them long and full and just like fake lashes.
I have always put on one coat let it dry, then comb through with clean plain and dry mascara wand, and reapply a second coat.
i dont want a one step, but with this one you can do either way! amazing, will buy again for sure. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I just bought this mascara today after trying a few products my aunt had bought. I came home and with just ONE SINGLE SWIPE, noticed a dramatic change in my lashes! I liked this mascara okay. It wasn't awful but wasn't anything out of the ordinary. I do appreciate it being natural and have yet to be hopeful that it will repair and restore lashes to a healthy level. If that does happen, it'll definitely change my opinion but for now I'm just indifferent to this product. Love this mascara. It makes lashes look really long and defined. It doesn't get lumpy and is also easy to take off without pulling out your lashes. Honestly, I was on the prowl for a waterproof mascara when I tried this on. I was happy that I needed a makeup remover to get it off! That tells me that this mascara would do very well if I were caught in a rain storm or got teary eyed during a sad movie. LOVE! Would you buy this product again? Yes

I really like this product. It had enough weight as a moisturizer but also gave very smooth, pretty coverage. It gives a dewy finish but a tiny bit of the amazonian clay powder gives it a perfect matte finish. Would you buy this product again? Yes
Compared to the lights, camera, lashes this mascara didn't do justice for me. It does go on smooth and it doesn't produce flakes but after about a week the mascara became kind of clumpy...maybe I just got a bad batch. Would I try this again? this is perfect as an every day mascara. it may ne lacking in drama for a night time look, but it makes up for that by leaving your lashes separated, non-clumpy, and soft. I have now worn this mascara a few times over the past week. The first couple of times, I was going out and really appreciated the volume the mascara gave me, however, it was a little close to spidery because it was clumping some of my lashes together. It wasn't that bad though and I appreciated the volume at the time.
Today I put on this mascara with the only other makeup on my face being tinted moisturizer and blush. So my lashes really stuck out and not necessarily in a good way. Maybe I put on one too many coats, but my lashes look a little too clumped together. I appreciate volume but not in exchange for spidery lashes.
Maybe if the brush were improved or the formula, I really don't know. The consistency of the mascara is a little thicker than I'm used to, so it doesn't glide on to each lash separately so much as it kind of globs on to a small grouping of lashes that are closer together. Many mascaras do this, but I expected a little more from Tarte, especially since I've found mascaras that I love that are 1/3 of the price. I don't think I'll be buying this again, unless it comes in a kit and I really want the other products. Would you buy this product again? Yes

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this mascara! I have literally tried EVERY drugstore mascara and many "high-end" mascaras and this is by far my absolute FAVORITE! I curl my lashes, use one coat of this and I get amazing definition and length that lasts all day with absolute zero flaking or smudging. An added bonus is how long a tube lasts...which I have found recently in other brands is sorely lacking, plus it does not dry out after a few weeks. She loves non-waterproof mascara so she is def. the pro at this.. she said this left her eyelashes super soft all day. I've been using various Tarte mascaras for a while now and for the most part have had great luck with them. I was really excited to try this one and it does make my lashes look very long. The only thing I've noticed is that it seems a bit drier than the others that I've tried and it tends to flake into my eyes a bit. Not terribly, but enough to be bothersome. I'm a bit of a mascara junkie myself, usually opting only for waterproof 'flavors'. I LOVE TARTE'S 3 DAY STAIN and usually switch between that and one of my go to waterproof mascaras. I tried this one because of a promotion at my local beauty store and I bought it for 1/2 off. I am amazed! I've used the product for one week straight and my lashes feel terrific and look fuller.
Gifted does not run or smear although it's not promoted as being waterproof. I also find that, like 3 day stain, if I don't remove the mascara entirely with makeup remover the night before it continues to nourish my lashes and they still look fantastic in the morning. Gifted makes my lashes fuller than 3 day stain does so I'm sticking with it.

First of all I want to say that I love Tarte cosmetics and I am really glad that I have access to 'cleaner' beauty products. I also am glad that Tarte makes cosmetics for a worthy cause (no animal testing as well as offering cleaner products) and that I am able to support them with out sacrificing quality. HOWEVER, this is one of the worst mascaras I have ever purchased and it DID NOT improve the health of my lashes. My lashes have been falling out as well as breaking and I have only used this product for a little over 3 weeks. Also this mascara flaked frequently. To say the least this mascara was not my favorite. I do however LOVE their 'Lash Huger' eco friendly mascara and it is by far the best mascara I have ever owned!! People always say that drug store mascaras are best. Most drug store mascaras have some pretty disgusting ingredients. Road tar on my lashes, no thank you. I never have to worry about that sort-of thing with tarte products, thanks tarte:) I love tarte mascara. My favorite all around mascara was LCL. I still love it, but I have found another that I love as much. In fact this reminds me of LCL but more lengthening, won't flake, and doesn't smudge on itchy watery allergy eyes like LCL will. My lashes are healthy and soft, even while wearing. I have very high expectations for tarte mascara. This not only lived up to my expectations, it exceeded them. Would you buy this product again? Yes

This mascara keeps my lashes soft and healthy but also provides the length and volume I look for in a great mascara. It doesn't hold curl the best but I usually look more for length, which it definitely provides. It's easy to apply more than one coat when the product is still wet but it does clump a bit if you try to double layer once it's dry, just FYI. It lasts all day on me without flaking or giving me raccoon eyes and it's a very pigmented black. Thanks for another great mascara Tarte! Would you buy this product again? Yes

This is my new all time favorite mascara and I doubt I will ever try another. I could never find a mascara that 'did it all' but my search has now ended! Volumizing, lengthening, and i love that it is actually good for my lashes!! The brush is very effective and easy to use. I work in cosmetic retail and this is always the first mascara i suggest. My holy grail mascara is Lights, Camera, Lashes, so I decided to try this, too. My lashes are never clumpy with this one. I don't feel like my lashes are dried out and it doesn't flake. So many mascaras dry out lashes and by the end of the day are flaking. Tarte makes great mascaras! My lashes are full and long without having to curl them. I always reach for this one or the Lights, Camera, Lashes.... Would you buy this product again? Yes

I really loved this mascara when I first got it! It really lengthened my lashes and did not seem to irritate my sensitive eyes. The only complaint I have is that it seemed to get clumpy after a few weeks. I don't wear mascara every day, and I pull the wand straight out of the tube one time during application (rather than twirling it around or bobbing it up and down), so I was disappointed when it started becoming clumpy and my lashes stuck together. Again, this is the ONLY complaint. Otherwise, this mascara is wonderful! Would you buy this product again? Yes

I'm in love with all of the Amazonian Clay products tarte makes so I decided to give this a try. I love that its all natural, it makes my lashes look longer & doesn't irritate my eyes. I also feel like my lashes are healthier & don't come out as much after cleansing. My only problem is that when I sweat, it tends to come off a little. I plan to wear this when I know I won't be in the heat & my Lights, Camera, Splashes in the hot weather, pool, etc. I thank you so much for going natural! I really like this mascara. I find that the brush does not hurt my eyes during application and the formula does not irritate my eyes, either. I have long eye lashes & it has been truly impossible for me to find a mascara to do what I want....until now! I have tried every over-the-counter and natural mascaras from Aveda to Physician's Formula and have been very unhappy with the results and their lifespan. Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart mascara lifts all the long and short layers of lashes up away from the eye (my largest dilemma). It is very conditioning, does not dry stiff, & won't flake. The only issue I had was that it actually takes time to dry, but nothing that a dry Q-tip won't remove from the skin. My mother fell in love with the packaging and wants one herself! Overall, I am excited to see how full & long my lashes will get from all of this nourishment! In a few weeks I'll be back to report the results & how the product ages over time. This is my FAVORITE mascara! One swipe had my cousin's jaw dropping! It volumizes and makes your lashes look HUGE while keeping lashes soft & pliable.
