Holds a curl on my short, straight lashes!!!
I have super straight, short lashes (thanks Dad), but when I curl them and wear this, they look amazing and the curl holds all day, which is why I always wear waterproof over regular mascara. It doesn’t ever seem to clump on me and washes off easily and completely with an oil cleanser or balm. If I spend the day swimming, my lashes will slowly lose their curl, but the mascara doesn’t really smudge under my eyes either, so I’ll give it credit for that : )

Waterproof, but clumpy
Works well to resist water, but doesn't look very elegant because it tends to clump. Also seems sticky -- my lashes sort of catch at the edges every time I blink (I only use on top lashes) so that it can feel like I have something stuck in my eye.

It took me about 7 different attempts, but I've finally found my favorite waterproof mascara. It goes on great, separating my lashes perfectly, and of course, with a second coat, they look thicker. If I could, though, I would change the packaging. It's a tiny bit awkward to grab the wand at first because it's more flat than round. Also, this avant-garde style of packaging looks and feels a little cheap, and I think it's totally unnecessary even though they took extra effort to create it. . .kind of like when people come up with ridiculous spellings for their kids' names (e.g., Meggin, Ayva'h, Dontay).

Stays in place no matter the circumstances
I literally gave birth while wearing this mascara (nearly 24 hours of wear) and it didn’t smudge or flake. The nurses kept telling me it didn’t look like I should be in the postpartum ward because my makeup stayed in place. 10/10 would recommend.

This was my favorite mascara for quite a while before I discovered the Thrive mascara but this one still for sure holds its own and it's waterproof so I always go back to this one when I want or need the waterproof formula. I have unbelievably unruly and frustrating lashes that started a few years ago sticking in every direction, up, down in and out, and they're all clumped together in some places, I have a lot of hair loss and that includes facial hairs so there are gaps between them and they've gotten horribly sparse so just all around horrible to work with so very few mascaras will work to help them out even a little bit but this is definitely one of them. It lengthens and volumizes, doesn't smudge or flake at all, stays on very well and is definitely waterproof! I have it in both waterproof and original and even though I use them both I like the waterproof more for some reason. I feel like it goes on a little bit better and since I have very watery eyes it clearly helps having my makeup stay put! and at night it's not difficult at all to wash it off. I always double cleanse with a balm/oil cleanser and then a regular face wash and the first cleanser takes it away in a matter of minutes. The only thing I kinda wish was that the wand was a little bit different, I like the wands that are like the Thrive Cosmetics mascara or one end of the Huda legit lashes mascara, those wands that are fine and sparse and not thick and fluffy because that works way better for my annoying lashes and I think that it would be perfect if it had that kinda wand because the formula is so good and with the thicker wands the formula tends to goop up on that wand hairs and that can make it messy, I sometimes have to wipe some of it away before I use the mascara but other than that I love this product!

I need waterproof mascara… for whatever reason non waterproof flakes, smears, rubs. Regardless of brand. Anyway, this is overall a good formula: it doesn’t sting my eyes, it doesn’t flake, and it stays on but washes off gently.

Worst mascara I've ever used
It's waterproof - I'll give it that. But this is some of the worst mascara I've ever used. I've been a long time Maneater wearer, but I was in a store that didn't carry it, so I decided to try this one out. It took about 4 coats to make it even look like I was wearing mascara, and even then, I didn't get even close to the same volume and length that I'm used to. In addition, it's like CEMENT. It took so much scrubbing to remove that my eyes got super irritated, and I tried several different eye makeup removal products to no avail. I've never thrown a product away without muscling through most of it, but this went right into the trash after two attempts.

Not impressed
First time using this mascara. Mascara seems very dry. Can’t get much product on the wand & you can barely see it on my lashes.

Really is waterproof
I really like this mascara for its ability to stay waterproof. A lot of mascaras say they are waterproof but are not. It also doesn't flake at all, which I really love. My only issue is that it is hard to get a really thick look with it. Other than that it's amazing.

My favorite mascara in the market
I have repurchased this mascara from tarte so many times in the past years. It is by far one of my most favorites. It gives volume lengthening and looks amazing on my short lashes. It does make a difference. I highly recommend

Super easy to use. I have never had a mascara that didn’t clump. The most significant aspect of the product is it doesn’t irritate my eyes.

Hi! This has happened to me when the mascaras are old, they seem to gum up a little faster than other mascaras I've tried....What I've heard works well is putting the entire tube in warm to hot water for a few minutes before using it, but if you're like me that's too much work. I've put in a couple drops of eye make-up remover in the bottle and mixing it up and it makes it like new! Would have never known it gummed up in the first place! Hope this helps :)

I love Lights Camera Lashes, so when the mascaras went on sale, I decided to try the Lights Camera Splashes, since I was going on vacation, and waterproofing was a good option. They are not even remotely the same, and I don't get the full, voluminous lashes w/Splashes as I have with the Lashes formula. It makes almost no difference at all, like I'm not even wearing mascara.

BEST ANSWER: I use an oil-based cleansing balm and it melts away all of the mascara, then I finish off with a gel cleanser as a double cleanse. I never have any mascara leftover on my lashes, works great! It's not hard to remove at all, so don't be afraid of the waterproof!

it removes easily with any of the drugstore brand eye make-up removers that are made for removing waterproof mascara. I have been using it for years & haven't noticed it being damaging to my lashes.

No, I would recommend an oil based makeup remover that makes it easily comes off while also hydrating your lashes. Ive been using it for months and i have never had a problem.

How I suggest using this mascara is, for the a little less than 1 week, I remove the excess mascara from the wand with a clean tissue. Afterwards, you will note that this mascara applies really well, with little or no clumping at all. Stays on all day. Has enough product in the tube to last over 3 months, but you need to dispose of your mascaras afterwards since you do not want to encounter any bacterial infection to your pretty peepers. It's really waterproof so I suggest removing it with an oil-based ophthalmologist-tested eye makeup remover. No raccoon eyes, doesn't smudge, little to no flakes, lasts all day long. Elongates your lashes and gives tons of volume! I get lots of compliments on my lashes ever since using this mascara. I really suggest it!

It did for me a little when I applied it to my bottom lashes, but try "blinking through" the application process. So instead of pushing the mascara on, hold it in one place and blink slowly to move your lashes over the brush. That seems to help with the clumping bit.

It goes on pretty heavy when it’s new. It doesn’t clump but the effect is enhanced nicely if you run a lash comb through after you apply. Can get a little clumpy when it’s getting dried out but that’s how you know to get a new one!

Only when getting towards the end of the product life (only a little product left). I find that happens with most mascaras on the market anyway. This is a great waterproof mascara for the summer.

I find that rolling the tube between my hands to warm it up before applying helps a lot. It makes a noticeable difference, I don't have an issue with clumps when I do this.

BEST ANSWER: For me at least, it stays put pretty well. In fact, I have to use something oil based to get it off. If you're looking for sweat proof, this will probably fit the bill for you. Be careful to let it dry before applying your setting spray, though.

BEST ANSWER: My lashes are naturally pretty straight so I have always curled them before applying mascara. I have used many tubes of the waterproof and the non-waterproof, and I always find that the non-waterproof almost instantly straightens my lashes.

I find the appearance to actually be quite similar on the lashes. LCL gives slightly more separation but I still find this to be a classy, refined look compared to other waterproof mascaras that always look spidery.

I love this mascara, but I still get panda eyes. I use a liquid foundation. What should I do to not get mascara came off on my under eyes? Do I need to use powder foundation or setting powder?

BEST ANSWER: Definitely add powder! If not around your entire eye area, then at least to the lashes themselves. Unless your foundation is oil-free, the oils in it literally act like makeup remover (which are mostly made of oils!) and start to dissolve your mascara.

I wear contacts so I use this version. It does not smear when my eyes water, and they do that a lot. It makes my lashes stand out and look pretty. I will use this happily until the day they create another waterproof mascara like it.
