How To Use

Pretty good! Definitely gives dark thick lashes. It is a little clumpy and a little hard to use bc of the brush shape, its dumb bell shaped so the middle is smaller and so it’s not easy to get full coverage but it’s still a good mascara

I was so excited about this vegan product! I LOVE Tarte and the mascara itself looks lovely on my eyelashes. HOWEVER, it takes just a handful of hours before there’s black marks under my eyes. It comes off very easily and no matter how I tried to adjust the application, it would look like I’d cried a little at the end of each work day. I’m so bummed.

This mascara is fantastic for adding volume and length to my lashes! I like the slight hourglass shape of the brush and the many brush hairs get every lash without clumping them together. It lasts all day on me - no flaking and eyeshadow primer helps my oily lids from dissolving it at the roots of my lashes. I’ve repurchased and will continue to do so. Highly recommend!

I honestly hate this mascara. It is one of the worst I’ve ever used. It takes what feels like 100 coats before you can even see that I’m wearing mascara. It seems to weigh my lashes down a bit, so there is no curl (and I usually have nice curly lashes) and by the end of the day no matter what I have raccoon eyes. 0/10 do not recommend

It works for me
This mascara is very quick for me to use. I don’t like heavy layers so just a couple of swipes and I’m done. I do coat it with a clear waterproof mascara though. That seems to seal it for all day wear. I have tried many mascaras over the years and am still in search of the perfect brush and formula. In the meantime this works well for me.

This is my favorite mascara ever! I have tried every mascara on the market and this is the ultimate, miracle mascara! If I’m starting to run low I have to order two more so that I always have it on hand. If you have not tried this mascara try it right away!

Is there going to be a waterproof version? I have hooded eyes so my lashes rub on the hooded part and then the mascara transfers and leaves smudges. i have been told that waterproof formula can help.

this formula dries pretty quickly. not too quickly that it is a problem, but I have hooded eyes as well and I dont' have that problem when applying this mascara. If I ever have transfer with another mascara~a tip I have is to wait til it dries and then use a qtip and wipe gently. It comes right off. I haven't had to use that tip with this mascara though.

I suggest trying this one as I do too but I apply bottom first then top and do not have an issue with this one. No smears or smudges and it doesn’t flake. I wore it in the pouring rain today and it stayed put even in the storm!

Yes, this mascara is amazing! It is an all in one mascara. I need a mascara that does it all this will lengthen and curl my lashes while make my eyes bright and pop, also it does not make my eyes water or blurry.. This is a must have in you daily makeup routine it does not disappoint!!

This mascara did not keep curl for me. After using my curler and then applying, I could watch the curl come out of my right eye while I was applying the mascara to the left. Looks like this is less common though, based on the other responses.

My lower lashes tend to touch the skin under my eye and it didn't flake or leave residue at all. I have sensitive eyes as well and haven't had any issues! It actually doesn't feel like I have anything on.

nope. does not smudge or flake off. it is easy to wash off and doesnt irritate my eyes. it doesnt even weigh down my lashes and holds a curl nicely.

BEST ANSWER: Big Ego is a creamier product. It's soft and comfortable to apply, gives great volume and better length imo. It lasts longer but does eventually flake on me. Two coats for fabulous lashes.♡

I have tried the Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara, and I have to say I like the Big Ego one even more! It just coats all my lashes really well, it holds a curl nicely, it separates my lashes, and the brush is so soft and luxurious. The product itself is also very nice quality and feels good on my eyelashes.

It's not completely smudge proof, but if you're having a day where you're not getting too sweaty or your eyes aren't super watery, it will last the day nicely. And honestly, even with a few tears or some sweat it holds up pretty well.

No, in my experience with the Bit Ego Mascara it is no smudge proof. It does stay on all day but if your eyes tear it will run. However, if you just rug your eye say you have an itch I find it does not move. Hope this helps.

BEST ANSWER: This would be a great mascara to use for natural looking lashes. This mascara, in my opinion, adds a great deal of length, however, does not give that dramatic, voluminous look to lashes. It is more of an everyday mascara.

No, I don’t use a lash crimper. Only thing I can recommend is Tarte opening act lash primer. It’ll make the mascara stay in place even longer and your lashes will appear longer and fuller.

If you’re looking for a more dramatic lash maneater is that for me. I always keep Big Ego on hand though because it is good for gym days, lake days etc!

Hi! I don’t have very long lashes, but when you curl them, they become visible. And yes, big ego mascara holds the curl of my lashes, and it does not flake. Unfortunately, I have yet to find the perfect mascara that does not smudge on me especially on a humid, hot day. I have used A LOT of different ones from high end to drug store brands, to waterproof and not, but all of them still smudged, some more than the others.

It holds the curl like 4 hours but definitely doesn’t look straight as if you weren’t curl your lashes, it doesn’t flake and I haven’t prove it in hot water

BEST ANSWER: It's more on the dry side, but not overly dry. It's a good balance, cause this way you don't overapply and it doesn't clump on the lashes or glue a couple of them together.
